The driver was rude and unprofessional. When you're dealing with a vehicle issue having a rude and unfriendly tow driver makes the experience even worse. Kindness goes a long way and clearly he hates his job and has zero customer service skills. PLEASE READ REVIEW BEFORE USING THIS COMPANY! Carmax has a contract with this company so when I needed to get service on this vehicle these were the people who picked my car up. As the drive was coming out of the garage he scrubbed the front of my vehicle. I spoke with a clerk at the dealership and we both examined the vehicle's front bumper. There was particles coming from the front so we both knew this was something that was recent. Spoke with a Kevin at this company. He scheduled a time to look at the vehicle on the morning of 10/04/2021. After inspecting the car I was told he would speak with the driver and get back with me. Since he looked untrustworthy I filed a claim. The person over my claim contacted this company. They were told that the claim was false and was not their driver's fault. PLEASE TAKE PHOTOS OF YOUR VEHICLE AND INSPECT IT VERY CLOSE BEFORE ITS IN THESE GUYS HANDS. I ACTUALLY WOULDN'T RECOMMEND BECAUSE IT WAS TRASHY SERVICE. read more

you'd think a wrecker service would have drivers that are more careful on the road. I encountered one of their wreckers today on 121 driving extremely recklessly and he always hit 3 people. traffic was merging from 3 to 2 lanes and instead of paying attention and slowing down, he had to swerve into the left lane to keep from hitting the vehicle in front of him and caused everyone in the left lane to have to slam on our brakes. he continued to swerve and drive carelessly, going 80mph in a 70mph zone. i'd sure never trust them with my vehicle. read more

At 4:15 I call them and they say they don't have a driver and the operator shouldn't of told me a time. I waited 3 hours and 15 min for them to arrive. The trip took 1.3 hours To drive. I got the bill for $1015. I called and talked to Rodney Disputing the bill and hours they were in route. He was 0 help. The tow truck driver was very unprofessional, he got upset when I told him I didn't want the ignition turned in the on position and the car in neutral while it was being towed, I didn't want to buy a new battery because of his laziness. From then on he had an attitude, he then slammed my car's gear shift into park and yanked the key out of the ignition, a thug. I would not recommend this company, the tow was 135.00 for a five mile tow. I called the company to report his unprofessionalism. Awesome service!!! We called for a tow and Roper was there within 15 min. After being told it would take 45 min. They were very friendly and the driver had us loaded up and dropped off at Goodyear within 15 minutes. We will definitely use Roper again if the occasion ever arises again. ***EVERYONE READ!!!!*** The absolute WORST service!!!!! My truck previously had nothing wrong with it, the only reason for towing was my tags were out and needed it moved to my new house - ropers towed it 19 miles and when I got home there were huge cement blocks behind my wheels even though it was in park, so I checked and IT ROLLS BACK NOW!!! My neighbor watched the tow truck driver unload my truck and he said that the driver forced my truck off with it IN PARK!!!! and he heard a loud pop and then my truck started rolling backward. There were HUGE black marks all over my driveway from the tow truck DRAGGING my truck. I have PHOTOS they destroyed my transmission and WON'T PAY FOR IT TO BE REPAIRED!!!! IF ANYONE ELSE HAS HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS COMPANY contact Judge Raleigh, Justice of Peace in McKinney, TX and file a lawsuit as I did!! My sister and brother-n-law were killed in an auto accident. Their truck was towed to Ropers with an inventory list from the sheriff. Within 24 hours her purse, phone and multiple other items were gone. They have zero security!!! Their gates are left wide open during the day for anyone to come and go. Their surveillance cameras only go back a certain amount of time. Ropers did not feel it was their responsibility. Their manager acted like it was no big deal and a common occurrence. The hundreds of pictures in my sisters phone are irreplaceable. Pretty sad that this world has such scumbags!!!! read more

Great towing company in McKinney! Out of all the times I've locked my keys in my car, I've called Roper's and each time they've responded in a timely manner. The person answering the phone was friendly and so was the driver. I've had my car towed by this company twice and each time the driver was super knowledgeable about what he was doing and there was not a dent or a scratch anywhere on my car from them. Their rates are very fair which is hard to find anymore. I would recommend this company to the Queen of England if she asked me! read more

We called Roper's out to our house on 4/28/19 to pull our bulldozer out of the mud. My husband hooked the cable on to the bulldozer & they pulled him back about 10 feet & he was out. The entire process from the time he arrived until he was done was less than 11 minutes (I took video). We were quoted $262.50 (that was a 2 hour minimum) but they charged us $350. When I called the office today to see what the additional cost was we went though the time they showed. They said the driver pulled out at 1537 & finished at 1644. They charge us the time on google maps to return to their location which he estimated was 45 minutes. I thought that was excessive because we live 10.1 miles from their location & this was on a Sunday afternoon but okay....even if you use their times of 1537-1644 & add 45 minutes that takes it to 1729. From 1537 to 1729 is still within the 2 hours. So why did they charge us an extra $87.50??? The guy I talked to didn't have an answer but kept repeating, "this is a good driver" - yeah, I know it was the owner that came out. read more

My vehicle was stolen in January and ended up at Roper's. I received a call last week from the Dallas police that my vehicle had been recovered. I immediately called Roper's. I was told it would cost $1900 before they would release it. A very nice young lady named Brooke was nice enough to send me pics of my vehicle. It looks a little damaged but hard to tell how much. I spoke to the office manager the next day about getting the cost reduced. She stated the wrecker fees were $850.00 and the rest is storage fees. I was more than willing to pay the wrecker fees but under circumstances , I asked if they would waive the storage. Now, just to be clear, they are within their legal rights to charge this. The office manager said she would talk to the owner and get back with me. She called this morning and said they would not lower the fees. These fees are not set in stone and can be waived. Dealerships do it all the time, not because they have to but because it is the right thing to do. Roper's is basically stealing my vehicle from me again. read more
