Roots is a 4th-generation family business built on tradition, community, and a love for good food. What started as a small family venture has grown into a trusted local market and kitchen, serving farm-fresh ingredients and homestyle meals to our community. Meet the Business Owner: Matt D.
In 2020, Matt took over Roots Poultry from his father, Mark, continuing a proud 4th-generation family legacy. Originally a full-time firefighter, Matt balanced both careers during his first 1.5 years of ownership. The growing demands of running Roots quickly made it clear that the business needed his full attention, leading him to leave the fire service. Guided by the values and lessons his father taught him, Matt is committed to honoring Roots’ heritage while serving the community with fresh, quality poultry and homestyle meals. For Matt, Roots isn’t just a business—it’s family, tradition, and community.
