Yay! That time of year again and Mel-O-Creme is open. We met family members at a mid-point from our respective homes. We had our usual staples: mini chocolate cone w crunch-kote in a cup; and a small twist cone with crunch coat in a cup.%. Weather was a beautiful day here in NW Ohio. Great time to indulge in some ice cream. read more

The perch basket and chili cheese dog was good. I wouldn't do the ham Ruben again. The service was friendly. They only take cash. Just a heads up on that. read more

Everything we've gotten there has been delicious! Moved back here in 2020, my only complaint is that we're way too close!

Easily the best Ice Cream in the area. My summers (and more) aren't complete with out numerous visits! The friendly staff serves up the most delicious ice cream flavor options as well as sherbet and whip. The food is always fresh and hot. I have had almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. Congratulations on 50 Years! read more

Mel-O-Creme - 50 cent cones to celebrate 50 years! - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Millbury, Ohio

This is the best ice cream you'll ever have! It's full of fat, making it creamy and naturally delicious! Portions have always been generous. I recommend the cake batter shake made with chocolate ice cream, makes it taste like brownie batter. The mango shake is also amazing. read more

We are huge fans of Mel-o-Creme and have gone there since we have lived in the area over the last decade and a half. Their ice cream is delicious, but the hidden gem is their food! The hamburgers are amazing, the homemade sloppy joe sandwich is worth the drive and their fish baskets are delicious! You won't be disappointed in anything you get and never leave hungry! read more

Good place for summer treats. Food is also very good and they always have a friendly staff.

Went to go get ice cream tonight and didn't realize that Mel o creme closed at 9:30. Arrived at 9:31 and was standing at the window waiting to order instead of the girl opening the window to tell me that they were closed she decided to slam the "Sorry we're closed" sign in the window. I really loved this place and cannot believe how rude I was treated tonight. read more

High prices for sub par service. Saw about 20 flies in the building. girls not wear gloves touching cones. please be mindful of health violations read more

This is THE BEST dairy queen. Ever. My mom and I like the Turtle Sundae but I am sure everything is wonderful!

I was a huge fan but lately not so much, cup size has gone down, prices have gone up and now they are using knock off Reese's cup. Very disappointing!!! read more

My favorite ice cream place in the area. Still go nearly everytime i venture to that side of town. They have cheap good food, great ice cream and slushes. Would recommend waiting in line no matter how long. read more

Huge portion size. Got a mini flurry and it was the size of most places small! Delicious!

Best ice cream around. People say it seems expensive but the portions are huge!!!! A small is the size of most places medium and some places large. I only order smalls flurries/sundaes myself anything bigger and I throw away half. I love their cookie dough flurries and the Heath bar sundaes. As a kid their chocolate dipped cones where a must have and for the kids they put candy eyes on them. The lines can get stupid long but it's worth the wait and even better to go at non rush times. read more

I like this place. I thought the prices were fair, portions were too big for me, and the food is always good. Try the Muddy Buddy, I could not finish the small. read more

You know that winter is over when Mel-O-Crème opens for the season, even if there is still snow on the ground. Mel-O-Crème does all things well - hamburgers, hotdogs, sandwiches, ice cream, sundaes and flurries. Their prices have gone up in recent years, so it has become more of a treat than a staple. Timing is everything at Mel-O-Crème, so sometimes you do have to stand in line, or make the decision to return later. It brings back childhood memories of riding my bike and stopping for candy after swim practice. Enjoy! read more

Great summer foods. Awesome ice cream menu. You definitely get what you pay for. This is one stop my kids will never forget.

Service sucks especially when rude little girls with shorts showing parts that shouldn't be shown is exposed. It is not cute. But it is truly pleasant when the older more respectful workers are working. Service is great and pleasant. Orders aren't ruined and they know how to count. Other than that Food is good. Shakes are great. read more

Best Ice Cream stand ever! My wife and I used to drive about 30-40 minutes every other week or so for this ice cream! There really are two big reasons why it kicks so much butt. 1. The Ice Cream. The food really is the main reason you stop at any place. The price can be amazing and given to you with the worlds biggest smile..but if it tastes bad who cares. Mel-O-Creme honestly has the best sundaes ever because they are so loaded with high quality toppings. Most ice cream places leave you fishing for peanut butter cups or raspberry syrup but here I could almost see where some insane people would think it was too much! There are many ice cream places I have left and tossed out 20-30% of my ice cream because it was just soft serve...that never happens at MoC 2. The service. While bad food served with a smile is still bad food...good food with a brilliant smile is always appreciated. Everyone at MoC is super friendly, they do well with order substitutions...and they were aware of gluten free! That last one may not be a big deal to 90% of the people who read this review, but to a handful of us its will bring you to tears! I have been coming here for years and recently when I found out I was allergic to gluten I thought I would never enjoy eating here again. When my wife stopped and asked if they had an allergen list available though they not only had one but knew a few that were gluten free from working with a past gluten sensitive customer! I can not eat everything I love, but many great ice creams including my two favorites(The Muddy Buddy and the Raspberry Truffle)were still ok for a fat gluten free kid to chow down on. II naturally got them both! Anyways to sum up. Again the best sundae you can find in Northern Ohio and served up by a cute and competent girl with a smile, 5 stars - Woohoo as good as it gets indeed! read more
