Ordered takeout and got some power bowls. They were filling and delicious. And I didn't feel bad eating the whole thing in one sitting! I also got some juice to go and it was chilled, tart, and refreshing.

A Pittsburgh sweet green! Delicious food and generous portions! Great for those whom have dietary restrictions. There's plenty of options, something for everyone. Large portions for the cost, I will say it does cost more than chipotle. They have green tea flavor with no added sugar. There's a bottle agave on the side for those who like their tea sweet. It always clean inside and the people are always kind :)

Back in the day it was 4-5 stars all day everyday. Service is always decent though. Typical neighborhood local vibe. When the food is good, it's great. Here are things I've had and loved and sometimes only liked: Burgers (they do crazy things with them like topping with a pierogi) Fries Chicken Pesto Sandwich Mac & Cheese

Our waiter came immediately and let us know the drinks on draft were $2 off for Happy Hour. I ordered the Purple Haze, a raspberry lager, and really enjoyed it's smooth fruity flavor. As a meal, I ordered the fish sandwich with chips, since upgrading to fries was an extra $3. The sandwich came out within 10mins, freshly hot and fried crispy. They split the big fish in half and stacked it on a bun, so it's very filling. On the side they give you a small portion of tarter sauce, which wasn't nearly enough for how much fish was on the sandwich. It was in need for a bit more flavor, so we requested hot sauce. Tabasco was free (other sauces were 50 cents) but unfortunately the bottle stated it expired in June of 2023. It didn't have any spice left and was a brownish color, so I didn't want to put it on my fish. The chips on the side were good, seasoned with salt and pepper. Overall the fish sandwich was good and a large portion, it just needed more sauce or maybe seasoning on the batter to give it more flavoring. For $15, I would recommend supporting a Firehall or Church fish fry that provides more sides with their menu items for the same quality.

First thing you need to internalize is that this isn't a pizza place. This wants to be a high end…read moredestination eatery that happens to serve some pizza. Once you get past that, a lot of the criticisms fall away. No you can't order a pizza your way. No you can't call in an order for pickup, they don't take orders over the phone. No they don't deliver. Yes, there is a high likelihood you won't be able to sit a party of 3+ here just by walking in at any time you are likely to want to eat out. Yes the food prices are unreasonably expensive because it's not a pizza place. The inside is a large improvement from Bados. They've don'e wonderful things to the atmosphere and I enjoy that a great deal. The food is a really mixed bag. When I was able to wait long enough to get a table, the food we ordered vodka pasta, special olives, beans & greens, (non pizza) was amazing. The Mushroom pi I had there was adaquate, and my wife liked it. When I ordered pizza for takeout it was dried out and burnt, and like many other reviews, this overwhelmed what was good about it. The table services was excellent, the greeter was very helpful. The bar service was adaquate. The take out service was uncomfortable, you pay upfront and it follows the trend of having to tip in front of the staff before the order is accepted. As for being Brooklyn pizza, they do have a couple of restaurants in NYC. My family who lives in Brooklyn isn't familiar with them, but it's a big city. Their pizza is on the thinner side, though not always crispy.

If so, you should be ashamed of yourselves. The shell tasted like a store bought brand and the topping were minimal to say the least. It also took nearly 30 minutes for one taco and there was only one guy ahead of us and two other people waiting and to be honest their orders took just as long as ours. Not acceptable! The vibe at the festival last year was great and yeah some of the lines were long, but they were all moving exceptionally fast except this one. The workers seemed very confused and overwhelmed. Yeah, the taco was fairly good, but the wait time for one taco was beyond frustrating. I hope if they are there again today at the festival they are serving better quality crumbles, better quality tortilla shells and more plentiful toppings.

In my mind and memories, this place is fantastic. In reality, ... I'll explain…read more I'm not regularly in this part of the city anymore. I'd rather drive out of state than have to cross a bridge and tunnel to get somewhere so I only stopped twice when at a nearby meeting. Decades back, my best friend lived right up the street. This was practically an extension of their own house. They were there often. Often is an understatement. I'd get off from work and knew where I could find friends. Here. I'd often stop and pick up something on my way home to the South Side Slopes. I recognize that its been a long, long time since I lived in the Southern Side of the city. I haven't been here regularly in years. I still enjoy stoping by. The last few times, the service was - I hate to say this- not good. I really do hate to say that. The reason people loved this place was because Louie, Toni, & their staff were friendly and made it an experience. Long gone are staff that made anyone in Pgh feel welcome. The last 2 stops in, I felt like an inconvenience. My orders weren't correct each time. One was a to go order. I specifically asked for things to be done a certain way because I was ordering for my husband & kids. I chalked it up to the time of day & blamed myself. I did not look it over since I was trying to beat traffic... this is a classic place. It has to be me. Not them. I had an hour break and decided to stop in. Again, staff ignored me when I ordered. It took up that entire time to get served. It was awkward. My meal was lackluster, at best. My mind wants to believe in this place and that their stuffed bananas, zucchini and chicken sandwiches will never change- but I think they have. At this point, I don't see myself going anytime soon intentionally. If a friend were to ask us to join them, I would.
