Have always had great service here. Super friendly and great selection of craft beers for years. They even have a homebrew section too.

Place is cool to go to. You dine underground, in catacombs…read more Started upstairs in the bar area since we got there about 20 mins early. Bar is old and has the remembrance of the bar your father or grandfather would go to. Lots of different IPA's which I'm not into so ordered a domestic draft which was on the verge of skunkiness. Our bartender was very non-engaging like she wanted to be somewhere else and spent more time talking and eating food. You get a small tour of the old brewery which in our case was conducted by the great, great, great grandniece of the founder. Tour was cut short due to a function in one of the tour areas. Dining area was dimly lit to add to the atmosphere of being in a cave. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. I got the French Onion soup and the tomahawk pork chop with mashed potatoes and green beans. The soup was horrible. It should be called French Thyme Soup because that's all you could taste and very little onion. I was picking out pieces of thyme from my teeth and gums for hours. The pork chop was delicious with the pineapple chutney. Had to get new mashed potatoes because mine were ice cold but the hot ones were delicious. Green beans were well they were green beans. Too stuffed for dessert. Pricing not too bad compared to the tri-state area. Would go back again for their haunted tour. Parking is available but skimpy.

ABSOLUTELY NOT worth checking out. I remember this being better last year (I had rated 4 stars,…read morenoting the average food and service), but tonight was absolutely disappointing. The food is lousy, service is slow even when the restaurant is slow, their own beer is flat - hard no. Won't attend again. Overpriced food for poorly reheated items. Personally loathe restaurants that ask "how would you like that cooked" and can't deliver - the teen was asked and said a well done burger, and it even had a "Well Done" wooden pick in it; came out medium rare. Their pretzel is massive and the best thing we had that night , however 6$ for 1/4cup of "Mexican corn dip" (which doesn't taste like elotes or esquites at all), their beer cheese tasted like they used their sour which had us three all commenting that it tasted like a sour gummy worm - I REPEAT, THE BEER CHEESE TASTED LIKE SOUR GUMMY WORMS?! Their "hot mustard" was like wasabi , straight up burrrrn. The pierogis were left in the food lamp too long , tastes like they use bagged bacon bits which got awful under said lamp, and their flatbread ?! OMG their 20$~ flatbread was absolutelyyyyy awful. Brie, fig, and balsalmic glaze was neither tasting as fancy as that sounded and underwhelming on all fronts. Ambience is poorly lit orange-pink-yellow Christmas lights this mid-January in the bar, at 10% restaurant capacity it'll take them 15 mins to come greet you and you'll wait half an hour for your appetizers and shortly after your entrees, the beer will be flat, other patrons will comment about the floaters in their beer and hair in their food, as you realize the silverware you just unrolled looks poorly washed. 115$ for mediocre food and a lousy experience. Won't return. Advise against anyone else going - it has really gone downhill lately, as evident as their "hiring all positions" flyer in their bathrooms indicate.

Twisted Bine Beer - Loaded Beer Fries Upgrade ($4) #WorthIt

Great beer - another place moving away from the IPA heavy menus and into all sorts of styles -…read morewhich means there is so many more options to try and something for everyone. I enjoyed their "lampin" German Pilsner - clean, crisp, went down entirely too easily with some fries that they sprinkle with some sort of seasoning that make them incredibly easy to gobble up Space is open with plenty of tables and a rather large bar in the center - perfect for either large groups (I have been here with 12+) or 2.

Rise and Vine…read more Microbrewery and pub located in quaint Mount Joy, PA, that's been in operation since 2018. They specialize in brewing small, batch seasonal brews and a farm-to-table dining. The Good: *Friendly service *As mentioned above, the beers are seasonal so they're always changing. *Poor Life Choices Hazy IPA was very interesting. Probably the sweetest Hazy I've ever drank and, while I wouldn't kick it out of bed, it's not what I'd prefer. *Cheesy Beer Fries upgrade is a must! The cheese was perfection, with a nice flavor of beer without it being overwhelming. *Large space which is great for large parties. We had six people and it was no issue. The Meh: *Free street parking but it can be difficult to find at times, believe it or not. There are a few free lots close-by, tho. *Interior can get a bit raucous *The Rachel (basically a Reuben w/ turkey instead of pastrami) was very underwhelming, a touch greasy, and the ratio of turkey to bread was way off. The Ugly: *The Chicken on the Chicken Nachos was hammered hard--as if Chicken breasts aren't dry enough. Conclusion: Overall, it's probably 3.5*, but I'll round-up because I'd still most likely be back to give them another go next time we're in the area.

Grandview Vineyard was a happy detour that turned into a new annual tradition. We visit Lancaster…read moreevery year and decided to switch gears and stop here and honestly, it was one of those why didn't we do this sooner? moments. Set on rolling Pennsylvania countryside, the views are straight out of a postcard. It's peaceful, scenic, and exactly the kind of place where time slows down (in the best way). The wine list is well thought out, approachable yet refined, with something for every palate. Nothing felt mass-produced or rushed and each pour had intention behind it. The staff deserves real credit: knowledgeable, welcoming, and genuinely proud of what they're pouring. They guide you without the wine snob energy, which makes the experience feel relaxed and inviting, whether you're a casual sipper or a full-on wine enthusiast. This stop elevated our Lancaster trip and added a fresh layer to a tradition we already love. Grandview Vineyard isn't just a winery, it's an experience worth building into your itinerary. We'll be back. No question. For photos, wine highlights, and more travel-food stops worth the drive, check out @travelingtastebuds_

It doesn't necessarily look like that as you drive up. The only downfall is that there is only one restroom. The pricing seemed decent. I was super pleased that they had a small selection of mocktails. Their strawberry lemonade spritz wasn't too sweet or too tart! It was just right. My friends seemed to enjoy all the wine choices! Additionally, the crab pretzel was amazing!! The charcuterie boards looked worth it. Plenty of seating and a live band was set up around 6/630, but we left just as they were coming in. Highly recommend and would come back (even as a sober lady!).

I placed a reservation request in the morning, and they called me in the early afternoon to let me know there was availability, which was great. I appreciated the variety of 15 wines from which you could sample to create your tasting. My picks consisted of: -2020 Sauvignon Blanc -2020 Fusion (white) -2020 Cellar 1599 Riesling: Cellar 1599 is a Waltz label, for reference. -2018 Cellar 1599 Red Blend -2017 Baron Red I won't go into detail on my experiences with each wine, but I did have a glass (and then buy a bottle) of the Riesling. The tastings come in little tasting tubes that are basically test tubes. While some might find that unusual, I'm a science person, so I liked it! They also have a cheese board (choose one of four cheeses) with chocolate and crackers, which I added. The tasting room staff were friendly and accessible. It was a beautiful day and lots of families were out on the large lawn. Too bad there isn't a restaurant here, or it would be even more of a win. In any case, Waltz is a winner!

Easily one of my favorite PA wineries, and my preferred destination while in Lancaster County. To…read moreme, the wine here has more of a California feel to it - the reds are more dry, a bit more robust and rustic. The whites tend to be crisper, feature minerals and ease into the finish. You'll pay a little more than nearby wineries, but the difference in quality is immediately apparent. The estate tasting room itself is somewhat unassuming - nice, Tuscan-inspired, but understated. The room is smaller, with some spacing available near the barrels, but this isn't a "big tent" kind of place. If you'd like a seat inside, you may have to come off-peak or be patient. Guests tend to linger here, and it's often because of the at atmosphere. If not, the surrounding property is a nice place to enjoy your wines. There are chocolates, cheeses, crackers and very light, local creations available. I'd love for there to be even more food choices - these wines are designed to accompany a good meal. If you're okay going slightly off the beaten path, and paying just a little more for quality wines, this is the place to visit in Lanco.
