If you are looking for real craftsmanship, this is the real deal (look at the website and the many other pictures as examples of the fine work--I will also upload a picture of the flowers I had sent to my girlfriend). I support local *everything*, as I know many of you fine folks do. As such, I was looking for local flowers, not something flown in and chemically-preserved from halfway around the world (that doesn't say romance to me). 7petals Design seems to have a mission in this way in their business--they source their flowers grown in the local area and were able to communicate well what was available and what was not. I was also looking for custom design; I did not want the same bouquet that everyone else could look at or click on a web page. Again, supporting craftsmanship, art, design...and shouldn't an expression of love be individualized and truly personal? I'll be honest with you, too; at times I can be an overly demanding, OCD customer with unrealistic requests. In this case, I e-mailed MaryAnn back and forth about a dozen times on so many different things, it's embarrassing. Finally, I even decided on a custom made card (that I created) and arranged to drop that off so that it could be delivered with the bouquet. Each one of my requests was handled immediately, with a high level of customer service and even good feedback to boot. I will be a repeat customer. For Valentine's Day, for any day, I can't recommend 7petals Design and MaryAnn enough!

When I returned to pick them up, the order hadn't been prepared. What was offered instead was thrown together in front of me--without much thought- an arrangement made from older flowers, and the quality didn't feel acceptable. When I expressed that I'd prefer to pass or have something fresh-made, there wasn't much willingness to adjust, so I left without purchasing. I've also received arrangements from this shop on a few occasions, and unfortunately the flowers haven't held up well--often wilting or developing an odor within a couple of days, which is noticeably shorter than expected. My husband has also ordered from here in the past, but we've decided not to return based on the consistent quality issues. A recent bouquet I received for Mothers Day were quickly wilted and all the peony petals fell 24-36 hours after I received them. The water is changed twice daily and it's slimy- clearly older flowers were used. It's disappointing, especially for a local shop that could be a great neighborhood staple. I'd recommend exploring other nearby options for more reliable quality.

We narrowed down our search to a handful of florists then interviewed 3. The Wild Fleur was only 1 year old by the time we interviewed Marissa in September 2021 but it was her energy, passion, prompt response, & her ability to work with our budget that made us choose her. Marissa is such a kind-hearted soul who's really passionate about what she does. She was detailed-oriented and made sure that she provided every element that we wanted. She gave us great practical advice and was always upfront about everything. We ran into many issues (i.e. vase shipping delays) but she was able to work through all of them. She is also very proactive in coming up with a solution. For example, we wanted a draped backdrop with our neon sign along with some florals. The neon sign is heavy and can't be attached to the wall so we had to find a sturdy enough material to hang it on. Marissa offered to repaint her wooden frame to match our theme and/or rent a metal stand from a fellow florist. Although we found an alternative solution, she just goes above & beyond in any task or challenge that's brought to her attention. On the day of the wedding, we were a bit concern since we were given a tight window for set-up but Marissa & her team did an excellent job! When we walked through the doors and saw the hanging floral centerpiece, we were in awe. All the flowers from the table centerpieces to the sweetheart table were so beautiful & lush as well! The arrangements along with the pops of blue tulips were perfect for our winter wedding theme. Not only that, Marissa was so generous in providing us complimentary bud vases for our welcome table/seating chart area and even used the extra smilax around the staircase entrance. We cannot compliment, thank, or recommend Marissa enough!
