Customer service was appalling. The vibe was I didn't know what I was talking about. Hair cut was amazing! Unfortunately I will not return.

I scheduled an appointment with Jasmine online for a haircut. I have a pixie cut that I've worn for years. After meeting with Jasmine, she tells me that if I want a pixie cut with texturing, razor cut, etc., I might need to schedule with another salon. She hasn't done pixie cuts for years and didn't have the tools with her to do it right. Are you serious? At no point when scheduling was I asked if I had long or short hair or what kind of cut I wanted. Never was I told that certain cuts aren't done by certain stylists. Isn't it a full service salon? She tells me she can trim me up a little bit, but can't do a full pixie cut. Needless to say, I left very disappointed! Waste of time. read more

Emily is truly amazing. I sent her what I wanted and she did not disappoint. I'm pretty flexible when it comes to my hair and having someone that's has done it previously do it, so I was confident Emily wouldn't let me walk out looking crazy. The appointment took about 3 hours and 15 min for a cut and partial. Emily immediately offered me water once I arrived and got me a cute trail mix snack. Before doing anything, Emily made sure that what I sent her was still what I was wanting to get done and asked about how short I wanted my hair. We took off a couple inches due to my uneven hair from my alopecia on my left side but honestly you can't even tell. She cut my hair so beautifully and ensured I was leaving happy with the outcome and not upset or reluctant. I'm so thankful for Emily. Truly one of the only 3 people I trust with my hair and to not f it up. Thank you Emily!! read more

Three weeks ago I moved to Washington and was looking for a new salon. Looked for recommendatitons through my HOA and ROOTD was suggested. I booked on line with what ended up to be Emily. Booked for a cut and highlights and also left my credit card number to confirm my appointment. Yesterday I received a text just confirming my appointment. It didn't say anything about selecting "C" to confirm, it was just confirming and I didn't need to do anything further. This evening at 8:30 I was reading through my emails and preparing for appointments tomorrow and came across a message from Emily (See Copied Message Below). I've never had a salon ask for a photo of my hair, and desired style, PRIOR to an appointment. I feel like a talented stylist should be able to handle this upon arrival, at least all of the ones I've seen for years have been able to accomplish this. -------------------------------- Hi Susan, I am just reaching out in regards to the previous email I sent you on October 20th. I know the salon called and left you a few messages about your appointment. Since I have not heard back, or received any additional info or photos, I've gone ahead and removed your appointment. If you would like to reschedule please let me know. I will need some photos of your current hair along with inspo photos of what you are wanting, in order to move forward with rebooking. I can't say enough good things about this salon! I have been getting my hair done for years all over the US (army wife) but this salon is the only one that has ever had me giddy with butterflies for my appointments - and leaving 120% satisfied!!! It doesn't stop at your hair, this team is constantly bettering themselves, doing training, bonding together, it is like no other! They are very active across social media platforms sharing tips, other babe's transformations, new products, and how to use those products! I see Jessica, salon owner, and she always has my best interest in mind! I love that she puts so much effort into establishing such a strong client relationship! Paid $4K for "IBE" (NOT) extensions with Owner Jessica and after flying to Utah to visit family and the IBE Hair Studio in St. George to inquire on my uneven color results learned they were NOT WHAT I PAID FOR! She installed THREE DIFFERENT TYPES of wefts which were not all IBE. After requesting to speak to her after I returned concerning my future appointment she sent me an email stating she wasn't the right fit for my hair. BEWARE of "FAKES" especially the Owner. So disheartened. You'll find lots of "Extra" Charges and dishonest pricing here. If your wanting to over pay for Amazon extensions this is your place otherwise ladies you better check your pieces carefully before installation. Only the Clark County Courthouse and a IBE Corp. witness statement with photos will get your $ returned from this snotty salon. EXTENSION LOVERS BEWARE. read more

Okay well I hate to change my review but I straightened my hair for the first time since my haircut (always wear my hair natural) and I got a crooked haircut my left side is a solid half inch-inch longer LOL it looks horrid. I ended up getting up-charged $70 from what we discussed. For just a partial highlight i was told it was going to be $190, and it ended up being $260 before tip. Got some mean girl vibes from the owner, im assuming i got up charged because her stylists work on commission. I won't be returning but best of luck to those who want to overpay! read more

I've tried to like this place so much. I've gone a couple of times and each time they did not do what I asked (even showing pictures). I thought it was how I was communicating, but each time it was something different. They cancelled on me three times all within a few days before appointment, yet expect a charge of 50% if you cancel within 48 hours. Only one person does haircuts and it's just not something I recommend for myself. They only know how to do one time of hair, and as long as you fit in that one aesthetic , this is the place for you, if not, I recommend going somewhere else. read more

Had a great experience! Second time getting my haircut done by Tessa and she impresses me more each time. She asked many questions on my preference of haircut. I have straight long hair and she did a fabulous job! My old hair stylist never asked questions and just did a quick trim and sent me on my way. Also their pricing is amazing! I could rave about Liana all day; she is so talented and has a knack at listening to exactly what you are picturing and making it come to real life. The new owner did a remodel recently and added the cutest personal touches in decor, new comfy stools, and my personal favorite, the custom coffee and drinks during your appointment. If it was possible to give this salon, and more specifically, my stylist Kayla, more than 5 stars, I would it a heart beat!! I have never left the chair feeling like my hair goals were actually achieved until after this appointment. I drove about 45 min from my house to go to Root'd, but it was so worth it. It was so good for my mental health to spend my afternoon there. She PERFECTLY executed the look I have wanted for years. Even my previous stylist who I have seen for many many years could not compare to the experience I had with Kayla. Root'd and all of their stylists truly made me feel so welcome from the moment I walked in. Not to mention they all had so much knowledge on a variety of hair topics and I left having learned so much. I reached out to the salon to get a haircut. Not color not anything dramatic just a layered haircut. They asked me to send a picture of myself and my inspiration which I did. Then I get a email response that they like to be honest and upfront, and they can't help me with my haircut needs. It's a basic haircut I'm asking for. The only thing I can think of is the fact that I am over 60 years of age and I'm probably not their preferred customer base. Either that or they're not qualified to do a basic hair cut. Their email says they are being honest by saying they can't cut my hair, but giving no explanation why. They did recommend a couple of salons. I have friends that go to one of the salons they recommended and they are over 60 years of age. It looks like ageism to me. It must be nice to be so busy that you can turn away business. That's OK, I'll make sure all of my old friends know how the salon chooses to do business. read more

Love this talented team! I see Jordan and she works magic on my hair that I'm in love with. A big win recently was when Jordan consulted with the other stylists there to help me find a remedy for my hairs inability to hold a curl. They recommended new product and curling iron and it has been GAME CHANGING! My curls hold all day instead of falling within 20 minutes not to mention the time it takes to actually curl my hair has been cut in half. I got my hair done yesterday by Jessica and I am so happy and impressed! After going lighter with my hair last year at a different salon and not liking it, I was really nervous to trust a stylist but I came across Root'd on Google and after looking at their Instagram I felt like I found the perfect place. I was right because Jessica completely transformed my hair into my dream hair! I went from dark brunette to light and sun-kissed for the summer! And I appreciated Jessica's attention to detail with my extensions. I am beyond happy I found a place I can trust.
