Do not get takeout at this location. Takeout orders are not treated the same as dine in orders. Every time my husband and I order takeout here, we are given old chicken, old fries and end up disappointed every time. Yet, when we eat inside, we are given fresh food. Great sports bar in Springboro. It's a local hangout during the big games, on the weekends, and most evenings. The chicken fingers are very good and they offer a variety of sauces. They have a great selection of appetizers, salads, wings (boneless, too), sandwiches, and a kids menu. Parking can be an issue because it gets busy here and is in a plaza. Their house salad dressing is good (similar to French). Service is usually great, but can be slow during busy times. We often do carry out on the weekends, and our order is always correct. The entrance tends to get a bit chaotic while waiting for a table. Definitely good and a local favorite. read more

If I could give this place a negative star, I would. The food was average and the worst part was the service. The blonde waitress we had was very rude- she never smiled, didn't offer to get refills- we had to ask for them, she was snippy to my daughter and had a nasty attitude. She didn't ask if we wanted a box for our leftovers. On our way out, I overheard some teen boys say that if they asked for a particular person, they would get "free stuff". I was out of town and needed a place to watch the Super Bowl, so I checked with Yelp and found this place. I counted 14 TVs, so no matter where you sit, you can see the game. We have eaten here about once a week for about 3 years and have never had a bad experience. The wings somehow are better than they are at other Roosters restaurants, and we have eaten at the one by the Dayton Mall, Milford, Columbus, Lexington and Louisville. The service at the Springboro location has always been prompt & professional, as well. The only negative thing I can tell you is that it is small. If I am rating just the food I would probably give them 4 stars. It's the service here that is so VERY frustrating. It's typically awful. I like to sit at the bar and that service seems to be worse. I love their wings and sauces, love the fact they have tater tots. YUM. Their beer selection could be way better but it's really kind of a bud light kind of place so I can't hate on them for that. I can hate on them for the service. If you're not a regular, hang it up. You will eventually get served but only after they handle their buddies. The other day I sat at the bar. The bartender, I think her name was Bobbi, was pretty quick in asking what i was drinking. When I said water she seemed to have an immediate attitude. I also said "I know what I want can I order?" She said she needed to get my water first and then would take my order when she came back. She slid my water to me and walked away. Refilled some drinks at the tables, checked on others at the bar, cashed a few keno tickets, got people their checks, and cashed a few out all while I sat there for 10 minutes waiting to order my lunch that I made her aware from the beginning I was clear on what I wanted. I walked out and went to Doubledays. They have better food and much better service. Because this feels like the norn here I probably would just steer clear of it all together. Read the other reviews. Every time my husband and I come here, we swear we'll never go back. Then 6 months later we forget and try them again. The service is ALWAYS terrible! It takes forever to get waited on and when you do the server acts like it's kind of a hassle to wait on you. The wait time on food is ridiculous... like 45 minutes to get 10 wings and 2 chicken fingers. When you DO finally get your food, it's barely warm. One of my favorite chicken wing spots. I only get their traditional wings. Sadly the sauces don't meet the level of Buffalo Wild Wings. I like my wings hot and both the medium and hot sauces don't even tastes hot it just taste like grease. The flavors I get is Asian one, honey bbq, and donkey. Also I'm not a big fan of their appetizers... the mozzarella sticks are tasteless (BDubs wins), the onion rings taste just like fried batter, and the fried pickles taste like cardboard. The only good appetizer I do get would be the dumpster fries. read more

First time/last time. Service was SO slow, never saw waitress. Over an hour for our food to arrive, my kids flipping out asking why we didn't go to Marion's for pizza. Finally grabbed another waitress who escalated. Food finally came, cold wings are the worst after you've been waiting. Most of the wings ok, but got nasty quickly. If you like breaded wings, this is your place. I don't like them and wish I knew, the menu doesn't mention. My family has been going here for years, they claim that they have the best wings around and I would have to agree! They have a great time socializing with the regulars up at the bar, and watching one of the dozens of televisions they have in there. The atmosphere is awesome. You never get bored looking at all of the witty jokes, and classic rock posters everywhere. As for the service, some visits are better than others. I've had a handful of wonderful waitresses, and a handful of waitresses that made me contemplate how they got hired in the first place. Celebrating a good friend's birthday at Roosters! Wow Wee! Um, not so much Wow. A friend from Florida joined us and wanted to share a beer with us. Although he is 26 he was asked for his ID. He showed his state issued ID which the manager found very suspicious saying saying "The Florida Drivers License is a different color this!" He nicely explained it wasn't a drivers license but a State Issued ID which of course is a different color. After her (The Manager) extensive CSI investigation on the ID she returned and said "OK, but you didn't have to be rude!!" Nobody in our group was rude. She was very rude! She was simply unaware of the differences in State IDs. Her attitude really hurt the celebration. The food, drink & server gets 3 stars. read more

First impression--sports bar with family atmosphere. Since I was alone, I sat in the bar area. It took almost 15min for someone to ask if I wanted a drink. I ordered a beer and it arrive fairly quickly. It was tall and cold. I wanted to order food and had to wait again...this time for almost 20min. After finally ordering the food it took another 20min to get it. Granted the place as pack and busy but it was constantly waiting for this and that. Rooster's is your typical wing bar: greasy food, cold beer, ESPN on every TV in the place. We had the fried pickles and onion feathers as starters, and they were delish. The wings were pretty basic (I was a fan of the Carolina gold sauce) but the servings were generous. The fish sandwich, on the other hand, was a fried nightmare, but we should have known better than to order a fish sandwich in Springboro, Ohio... The Italian sub and spicy ranch sauce were also standouts, but in a good way!! Our waitress was fun, sassy, and efficient, and my grandmother swears by the Rooster's chicken noodle soup. My husband and I took our 9 year old granddaughter to Roosters Saturday night to enjoy the World Series and some wings. We were seated in clear shot of 2 large screens. One screen has a football game and the second has a Hawaii Five O RERUN. We ask for the RERUN to be changed to to World Series. You know the one with an Ohio team( we are in Ohio after all) playing the famous Cubbies! We are told no, the RERUN has been "reserved". We love Rooster's and frequent the Springboro location since we are literally within walking distance. We pick Rooster's over BW3's every time. I am super picky with restaurants - I rarely eat out very often because I will admit that I can be hard to please when it comes to dining out. I have never had a bad experience at Rooster's which I really cannot say about any other restaurant. The prices are great, food is great, and the kids menu is nice too. Every server we have had really seems to like their job and are always super sweet! My only complaint would be sometimes when you eat out on the patio it seems you can be forgotten more easily and you have to wait awhile before you see your server again. But I have a feeling this is more on each individual serve because it's hit or miss. read more

Excited to try this place because of the reviews. We normally go to Bdubs but wanted to try something different. Let me start by saying we will never come here again. The two stars are for the friendly waitress. You sit yourself and wait to place your drink order. We didn't get asked for our drink order until 10 minutes of sitting down. There was another couple who came in 10 minutes after us and they were served their drinks right after us and served their food 20 minutes before ours came out. It came to the point my husband and I agreed if our food didn't come out after waiting 45 minutes, we would pay for our beverages and leave. They served our food with 2 minutes to spare. The wings are huge but coated in grease. Reminds me of Hooter wings. My child's boneless wings were burnt, and our curly fries were plain and seemed they were forgotten under the heat lamp. Again the two stars are for the friendly waitress and she did check on our table a couple of times to see if we needed refills on our drinks.
