Omg the food especially the surf n turf is spectacular! Even the environment and most importantly I cannot forget the waitresses especially Hannon and Debra they are both a tremendous asset to the company!!! Y Please keep up the great work and I look forward to coming back again very soon read more

Sat for 10-15 minutes and finally had to ask for a waitress. Oh, we should have just left at that point. My mama asked where their bathroom was and the waitress said she didn't have one. The manager then told us "we don't have one, we just piss in the sink" My mom has terminal cancer and when she needs a bathroom, she needs a damn bathroom. The waitress was a total bitch and told us her manager wouldn't do anything about her attitude. Manager wasn't much better. 100% would not recommend. Food was crappy, service was crappy. read more

Great little gem we discovered while walking around downtown. The restaurant we had intended to visit was closed for the day. Roosters is a cute little place that serves Latin American food. I liked how you could order chips and queso as a side! Our waitress was very friendly and explained how everything was made in house. My husband and I really enjoyed our meals and felt like the prices were fair. Recommended. read more

This may not be the most official sounding review, but I am going to try to be super honest about things I think people want to know... First, tables were being cleaned CONSTANTLY. Inside and out. No skimping and no quick wipe. Super good job on contact surfaces. Second, we went on Cinco de Mayo. I expected a wait, and expected service to be less that optimal. I was half right. Our server was fantastic, even when saying she was oversat might be an understatement. She got everything right, and got it out as fast as it was ready. I know they need staff as much as everyone else does, but the staff they have was doing a great job! Third, the food. Let me start by saying I don't like most Latin food. I went with friends, and because I had a curiosity about Birria tacos. I look forward to going back. Soon. Flavorful and tasty. Not greasy. Not overly salty or spiced. Plantains were great, guacamole was great, tacos were epic. All the food at the table looked fantastic, and I will definitely be trying the nachos if I can tear myself away from the Birria. Everyone is short staffed , you can't hold that as a negative. If you haven't tried this place, it's worth the effort of parking, and any table wait. Do this for yourself! read more

The lunch crowd was huuggee, we waited 30 min. for our 3 tacos and a torta lunch special that came out to $24 with a water and pop. The tacos were tasty, but came with very little toppings/salsa and our small portion of rice n beans (ina cup) tasted like taco seasoning. We ate all our food but left hungry and unsatisfied. I guess I was looking for an authentic Latin American restaurant... Overall, I wasn't very impressed but I'll come back and see what else they have to offer just to make sure. If you're into the hipster scene then this is def your place. read more

Tonight I dinner for my first time. This will definitely be my go-to when I come to Mobile!. Don't bother grabbing all of the salsas until you try your dish first; it's pack in tons of flavor!! I orders the Paleo plate with jerk chicken. My dish was absolutely delicious!! The most tender and tasty chicken and the healthiest accoutrements. Thank you for creating such a phenomenal option!! read more

Great, laid back atmosphere. Fresh, delicious food. Hard working and friendly staff. A regular favorite!

First visit did not disappoint. It's not your typical chips and salsa restaurant where you are full before your entree arrives. It seemed they really focus on their food. The house margarita was just strong enough with a twist of orange which was nice. We ordered an appetizer called the trifecta which is a basket of chips with small bowls of salsa, guacamole, and queso. The salsa and queso were very tasty but the guacamole was a tad bland for our taste. I ordered the El toro (beef brisket and Spanish rice) burrito while my husband ordered the hen house burrito (chicken and Spanish rice). They actually messed up our order and brought us both the brisket but it was not a problem since my husband prefers beef anyway. The brisket was tender and flavorful. The service was prompt. We enjoyed the meal and dining experience. read more

This is the BEST Cuban sandwich anywhere!! Finally made it here today with my wife for lunch. She enjoyed the Paleo plate with brisket. I was going to stick with the KETO side of things until I saw the Cuban on the menu. It was worth every carb! Great service matches the from scratch preparations from the kitchen. You NEED to go! read more

This place is amazing with excellent staff and the food was delicious. I've never imagine it would be this delicious! read more

We stumbled across Rooster's on a recent visit to the historic downtown Mobile area. It's a quirky, unique taco joint that makes their own tortillas. Everything is extremely fresh. Fresh seafood, fresh tortillas. They even take their time on the beans and rice...best I've had since Silvio's Brazilian Restaurant on the Hermosa Beach Pier. I recommend the mango salsa and coconut shrimp tacos (coconut shrimp is a special item but not always on the menu). The steak tacos and guac are great, and the fresh tortillas with queso would probably be amazing too. read more

Service a bit slow but the burrito was excellent and worth the wait. Nice quiet area.

The waiting staff and chef crew were awesome!!! El Toro was amazing and had the perfect amount of seasoning. They had a lot of selections for hot sauce to choose from and it was made fresh. This is a great place to spend time with friends and family. Thank you for the great food and service. read more

Went to Roosters in Mobile the night before we went on a cruise. I had the Boss Hog Burrito with the ranchero sauce on the side. It was very good. The person at the door was very nice. The person they gave us as a waiter was nice enough but could have been better. My daughter ordered the kids burrito and he didn't tell us it was an extra $3 to have it in steak instead of chicken. He never came to refill our waters and we both ran out half way through. It took him forever to come back and give us our check. Like I said he was nice enough but could have been better. The food was worth it. I will be back next time I visit Mobile. read more

Great service and good food. Our server, Mary, was super sweet to our kiddos. The house lemonade was delicious. Both of the adults got burritos - the Hen House and the Surf and Turf. They were both delicious and gigantic. Guac and queso were both excellent read more

Roosters is fantastic! I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here. The tacos are outstanding, the burger special (add chorizo) is killer, but my favorite is the torta de carnitas with the ranchero sauce. Delicious. Everything is fresh, great service and cool atmosphere. Keep it up, Frankie! read more

Great food, I had the shrimp tacos, they were AWSOME. They offer a daily special but could not pass on the tacos. read more

The food was amazing. The tortilla soup was the best one I've had in years. I order some pork tacos and had lots of meat which is unusual in most places. There's also a wide selection of mexican beverages like jarritos, mexican coke, aguas frescas and mexican beers. read more

Horrible customer service, they don't care at all about you or even giving the extra mile for the customers request. I used to like this place, but I'm not coming back. Very disappointed with them. read more

A co-worker of mine had been telling me how great Roosters was forever, so the other day, I decided to go with her and see for myself. Oh my goodness!!! The BEST steak taco I have ever had. It was a skirt steak taco with fresno chili salsa and I subbed the cotija for queso fresco. The steak was cooked perfectly (tender, yet crispy browned edges). Their specialty margaritas (I got blueberry and my friend got hibiscus), guacamole and queso were also wonderful! I will be back! read more

Cannot express how delicious this food was. We came into town on business and noticed this place had great reviews and it definitely did not disappoint. They got us seated quickly on a Saturday night. They have homemade salads and the queso and chips are some of the best I've had. Can't say enough good things about this place. I will definitely be back if ever in the area. I ordered the spicy chicken tacos and they were amazing! read more

Over an hour and a half and still never got our food. Won't be back as the food wasn't that great when we did get it

Flavor: 555 star Especially as American Mexican food, it wasn't too bad. Price: 333 Star A basic salad cost 9 and add the protein from ＄4-7. My Fish was way over cooked, my salad cost ＄17, a fine dining price with a street food setting. Service: 555 star read more

Great food, truly authentic experience with a gulf coast touch. The spicy steak tacos and the surf and turf burrito are the two gems of this restaurant. The drinks are also really really good and prices are icing on the cake. If you are in Loda and have a taste for some great food, Roosters is your place read more

First time trying the place. It was pretty busy as there were only 2 tables available (on the patio). Decent beer selection. We ordered 1 beer and 1 red wine, and they came out with the beer and white wine. Not a big deal, but c'mon... Ordered guac & chips (~$7) to start, and it came out in a small cup. It did taste fresh at least, but was expecting a slightly larger portion. Chips were good quality bagged chips you can find at the grocery store. We ordered 2 tacos & the jerk chicken platter. They were all out of plantains and a few taco choices. An HOUR later, our food arrives. Tacos were well above average (pork and brisket), but again, smaller than expected even though the waitress emphasized how big they were. Jerk chicken was very good, but was heavy on the rice and beans (nothing special). Overall good food; service could've been better. Not sure I would go again unless it was much less crowded. read more

Food and service were excellent!! We ate here while attending square dance convention and enjoyed the experience with friends! Thank you!

What a cool atmosphere. They have tables outside- which is what I recommend on a nice day. They are quick and the food looks delicious. Bathroom was clean. I ordered a Hawaiin margarita made with fresh berries and pineapple. I loved it, my friend didn't so take with a grain of salt. read more

My go-to for weekly work trips to Mobile. Steak tacos are delicious and perfect simple dinner around corner from hotel. Open on Mondays too when lots other spots closed. read more

Food was rather bland. Charged extra for chips and salsa. Didn't like salsa at all. Service was fair. Waiter seemed rushed, didn't come around much, and neglected to tell us about self serve sauce bar, ambience was rather plain and very loud. Shrimp nachos were disgusting! Shrimp tasted and smelled like the ocean. A bunch of cheap store bought (crunched up) tortilla chips with minimal about of cheese sauce and pico. Bland and tasteless. read more

I've been to roosters twice now and for starters, they have great house margaritas! The strawberry is my favorite, refreshing on a hot day. The staff is always very friendly and attentive, which I always appreciate. The reason that I knocked a star off is because while I think their food is very good, maybe even above average, its not what I would classify as fantastic/best ever. Their steak rice and beans plate is delicious though. The chicken tortilla soup is average. But definitely worth stopping in and giving it a try! read more

PERFECT, EASY STOP FOR TRAVELERS. We hopped off the highway and enjoyed a great meal here. The menu offered plenty of variety and when I inquired I was pleased to be told the dressings/sauces were made in house. Everything was fresh and delicious. Mexican/Latin American food is a staple for us, and I don often expect to be wowed, but the veggie taco with chimichurri was fantastic. Fresh seafood offerings and house made tortillas... be still my Texan heart. We will def be back. read more

They advertise MONDAY: MARGARITA MONDAY 3-9 $2 Off All Margaritas We tried them today. They didn't put a drop of tequila in them. We just got a sugary margarita mixture in a fancy glass. An easy way to make money, yet also an easy way to disappoint your customers. read more

Yum O!!! My egg & cheese taco as well as the shrimp taco were both delicious. The corn avocado salad was more like a corn & bean salad with a little avocado on top, the only slight disappointment of our visit. My husband had the jerk, chorizo & one other taco. He loved the chorizo most & thought the jerk had amazing flavor but didn't necessarily belong in a taco. We also started with the trio appetizer: the guacamole was very good & the cheese dip very yummy. We only wished we had room for the treat leches to finish it off. Service was great; friendly, helpful & so sweet. Next time in Mobile we would definitely go back! read more

This was a pretty cool place to stop by in downtown Mobile. The atmosphere is a bit eccentric and embraces diversity and feel of its location. The service was nice enough but dreadfully slow, and we ended doing much more waiting than eating. We got tacos and a jerk chicken plate, and the food was pretty good, but seemed to emphasize appearance over taste. The chips tasted store-bought, which is something we didn't expect from a Latin American place. I would go somewhere else as a tourist, especially considering the price, but it's the kind of place that I would go occasionally if I lived in Mobile. read more
