Very much recommend people try it! To complete my first experience at Taze, our hostess, Kahdija, was most attentive, cheerful, very polite and caring. I think I'd go there again not only for the food, but mostly because of her lovely service. Made welcome and looked after. I had lots of food left on my plate so she gave me boxes to take my leftovers home. I loved that! It is not a fancy restaurant. You go to eat well and be served nicely. I also noticed that they had a regular homeless man whom they give food to. I thought that was such a kind thing to do, clearly regularly.

Went to this newly opened Turkish resturant last week with some friends for some lunch…read more The food was good but would have prefered if it was more authentic turkish food. The prices of the dishes were quite reasonable and so maybe it will attract loads of customers from all walks of life and would be very popular with students looking for a simple food with home-cooked touch. The resturant serves halal food and no alcoholic beverages, but it would have been ideal if they displayed the Halal logo outside as otherwise people have to keep guessing. There is no special set meal for a small child, but most of the dishes seemed very mild and low salted. The place is new and so it was very clean too, but I think the serveing people were doing a good job of tidying and cleaning around. The waiting time between ordering and being served was about 15 mins(for the 6 of us) ..and nothing turned up raw ..so I'll ahve to give that extra points.. nice place to take ones family for dinner/lunch I suppose.

After passing this place many times (usually when I wasn't hungry) and reading all the glowing…read morereviews I finally got the chance to try this place. The interior is very nice and as I had arrived just after noon I had my choice of tables. I sat by the window for a nice view out onto the street. While I was waiting for my meal I was served a bowl of warm flatbreads (apparently made in-house) and a little bowl of olives. The main course I opted for was adana kofte served with rice and salad. The lamb was cooked on skewers which are then removed before serving leaving two perfect pooh-shaped sausages on the plate. And very tasty it was too despite the slightly off-putting appearance. The salad was very nice and a generous portion too. I just about managed to finish my meal (washed down with a glass of tango) despite the flatbreads almost having filled me up. The bill arrived along with a small, but greatly appreciated, cube of turkish delight. Service and ambiance was excellent, I look forward to returning and trying something a little less pooh-shaped.

A brilliant place that Hove has to offer. If you like meat, you cannot go wrong…read more The place has an indoor barbecue!! All the meat is cooked right in front of you. Turkish food, mainly kebabs. A great array of starters too. We went for the Special Mixed Grill for two. All meals come with complimentary bread and olives. Service is friendly enough and the decor of the place is great. Great value, quality food. A great place for lunch or dinner

Amazing food! I love Indo-Chinese food and a family member recommended this restaurant for lunch…read more The staff is extremely friendly and the place has a great ambience. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and that gave us a variety of items to pick from. I don't like overly spicy food but found the dishes marked with two chilis reasonably spicy and very flavorful. Great lunch time experience!

TL;DR Delicious, and very accomodating!…read more I went for my work's Christmas do. Food was from a set menu and waiters gave us several carafes of water, which were constantly refilled. There were also jugs of coke and lemonade which they would walk around and pour for us. All this was free, but we had to pay for alcohol. A few tried to set individual tabs for themselves However, there were roughly 20 of us and 8 individuals wanting individual tabs. That would have been a headache for the staff, so we all ended up paying for each drink of our own as we ordered it (Seemed fair to me). Heads up if you don't drink: They do a big enough range of mocktails for them to be listed on a page! They sounded good and I want to try one next time. We only had a set menu but it was all delicious (And even the stuff I personally wasn't keen on was good quality)! There was a good range of vegetarian and meaty stuff and it was all surprisingly filling. Also, I got to try some new stuff. One of the colleagues I sat next to is pregnant. She gave the food a good go, but a lot of it was too spicy for her although she said how lovely it all was. The waiter asked if she wanted some milk or yoghurt, and brought out poppadoms and mixed-veg bhajis for her ( as well as a big bowl of yoghurt) and gave her ice cream instead of the dessert we were given. She even asked for his name and a business card so she could recommend the place to her friends and family. The service was very attentive and kind. I had a Kingfisher (£3-4)and a margarita (£7). Good value for booze, I think. All in all, I'd happily suggest this place for a group do! Here's the set menu we had (In no real order and possibly excluding stuff I forgot about): Starter: Poppdoms with mango chutney; soy sauce with garlic and ginger; minty yoghurty stuff and a spicy thing. Chicken tikka (Possibly my favourite thing) Strips of some chunky fibrous vegetable in a mildly spicy coating (I believe it was potato) Firm paneer (A bit like tofu) in a sticky sweet coating with peppers Little poppadoms with chickpeas, tiny sprinkles of what looked like noodles and yoghurt and minty-yoghurty stuff and sweet sauce of some kind. They were an odd mixture of sweet and spicy. I found those a challenge to my tastebuds but they were well-made and well-presented Lamb rolls Plain naan White rice Coronas and Buds that came from nowhere (I discovered I'm not keen on Bud!) Veg manchuria A chicken curry A curry in a spicy green sauce Limoncello shots with a lime in (Which I thought were tequila shots) n An Asian dessert with a thin, sweet yellow custard and little balls that had the texture of soggy sponge but might have been paneer. I personally didn't like that but it was something new Oh, and the interior is very pretty! Be aware that it can get quite noisy, however.
