This place has potential to be great....maybe we just came on a night they were super busy. First off the food for a table of eight of us was wonderful...the service could have been better. We did have to remind them of things we had asked for more than once and they forgot a side dish, but thankfully they removed that from the bill. What were we asking for more than once....refill on pitchers of water and pita bread. Not a huge thing but when someone doesn't get their full meal...that gets annoying. The pricing for the food is a bit high, so be prepared for that one. But what you get is rather yummy. read more

Cons: sometimes it can get a bit loud during the busy times and during that time the staff seem to start spreading thin and you end up having to wait a bit to get their attention. Came here last night with some friends we booked a table as its always really busy. If your in a group of 8 or more they make you order from the set menu...luckily there was 7 of us in the end as the set menu wasnt so appealing and not everybody likes the few appetisers they offer on there. Anyway it was extremely busy for a Thursday night and we ordered our food quickly to save waiting as we have been told they are quite SLOW. 40 minutes later they got the order wrong with 2 of my friends, one ordered a Lamb shish but got a lamb doner. She was then told to eat it and he would get her the shish separately in 10 minutes. She didnt like the doner so left it and 15 minutes went by and yet no lamb shish that was promised on the house for the mistake. When she finally got the lamb shish we had all finished eating. There seemed to be alot of unhappy customers that night as I saw another table arguing with one of the waiters who seemed quite aggressive and very unprofessional. Not sure what it was about but they didnt look very happy. I cant fault the actual food, it was delicious and really worth the money. However if the staff spent less time singing to the whole restaurant every time they brought out a birthday cake and focused on a better service this review would of been 5 stars. They should focus on becoming a quality serviced restaurant rather than a TGI fridays. read more

When Havet opened a few months ago, we started catching delicious whiffs of their mangal (turkish barbecue) on our way in and out of the nearby sainsburys--it was so distracting that last night we skipped getting the milk and eggs and went in to check it out! The place was busy but not too crowded to get a table for two on this Wednesday evening. Seating is all quite close together like a French bistro, and they use all the space. My partner thought the open layout made it too noisy, but i thought the noise just added some privacy in the close quarters. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful when i ordered--and i know i can be difficult with my food sensitivities--but i wouldn't recommend the place for a quick bite; it took a while for anyone to come for our order and for the food to arrive. As expected, everything from the grill was amazing. We had chicken, lamb, and vegetables perfectly tender and smoky with side salads, rice, and mint yogurt, then the boyfriend got baklava and ice cream for dessert--for the two of us it only cost £23. One star down for the fact that, after all my questions about gluten content, they brought my lamb out on a bed of flatbread...sigh But we will definitely follow our noses back to Havet in the future. read more

Food was good, nice atmosphere but the waiters are so miserable! Customer service wasn't the best. We waited for over 20 min for a waiter to acknowledge us at a table and he was quite impatient and unfriendly. Unfortunately my dinning experience at this restaurant was absolutely awful. We booked for a 4 year old bday at 8pm so the party of people was 20+. The waiter was extremely impatient and had stipulated that we could only order in pairs of 8 from the set menu and everybody had to have the same meal across the board (only one option of identical meals regardless of dietary requirements or personal choice) as he could not keep track of orders if we had choice, which I found confusing as he's a waiter in a big restaurant. Shocked I expressed myself and the parties dissatisfaction and the manager replied that it was "company policy" and when we expressed we may leave the restaurant, the managers resolution was to "go of you want to" but it was 8:45 and the small children had not eaten. Finally they made some exceptions (for 4 people) but also refused them to pick from the 3 possible set menus. Horrible service and horrible experience. The food was good but compared to "the meze" down the road, this restaurant has a long way to go. I will not be dinning here again and would advice big groups to book with caution. read more

We came here 2 years ago on a stop over on our way to our honeymoon from California and we LOVED IT!!! We came back to Bromley on holiday to visit my husbands family for Christmas and couldn't wait to come back! Once again the food did not disappoint, everything was fresh and delicious! I visited there this week and was very disappointed by the terrible food and the unhelpful staff. Our minced lamb dishes had solid pieces of inedible bone, gristle and my kebab had red raw chicken in the middle. The chips we paid 80p extra for were shrivelled and cold as though they had been reheated. My minced lamb sausage skin was 100% lamb fat with bone and gristle in the meat. My friend's minced lamb kebab had solid bits of bone in the lamb meat. When we spoke to the waiter and manager about the issues with the food they were rude and unhelpful. At one point we had 4 men standing at our table arguing with us that the food was OK and being intimidating and unaccommodating. They took it personally even though they could clearly see that the chicken was red raw in the middle and there was gristle and bone in the meat. We will not be going back. There is a reason why it is so cheap there, because they are using nasty and cheap cuts of lamb meat full of gristle and bone. read more

Had a dinner last night in Havet. It was 4 of us. Not happy with service, they served wrong order, some of food was delayed and some was forgotten, had to remind they. Very disappointed with bred!!! In all Turkish restaurants bred is always provided without order and as soon is finished new one is arriving, but here we had to buy a bred and we was surprised with the size of it!!! it was extremely small. Then we ordered large bowl of salad.... so if it was LARGE, then I can imagine that small one will be the size of one table spoon!!! I would never recommend it to any one!!! read more
