At first, I would've skipped it, as it looks like a bad imitation of how a restaurant would look. But then again, it was recommended, and we went. Best choice we couldve made. Friendly and easy going service. A lot of complimentery appetisers - salad, bread and some great sauces. We ordered different starters: Kisir, Halloumi and avocado, humus and lamb. All surprising tastes, all very good. Main dishes are also great. They know how to prepare chicken and lamb and the portions are not on the little side. So full, eventually, I sadly haven't had the chance to check out the deserts. Ordered a turkish coffee as a finishing touch... It was something - lets say - interesting. Never had it before, and I don't think I am the biggest fan. But the food, yes!

We try to go at least once a month and order the same every time - the lamb shish - every time we have visited the food has been delightful! The lamb is seasoned and marinated to perfection - succulent, juicy and the right amount of charred. It is served with a lightly dressed salad, pomegranate seeds and seasoned rice. Wash down with a lovely bottle of Ventoux and you cannot go wrong! There is a lovely cushioned outdoor section which is lovely during the summer. The restaurant is very busy so make sure you get a reservation! The bread and dips are a must - we always order extra! My personal recommendations: Starter Recommendation: Aubergine In Exotic Sauce (Imam Bayıldı) Delicately fried aubergine stuffed with mixed peppers, onions, pine nuts, garlic and tomato sauce. (£5.20) Main Recommendation: Lamb Shish Chargrilled marinated cubes of lamb served with rice and salad. (£12.95) Red Wine Recommendation: Ventoux, Delas, Rhone Valley, France (80% Grenache, 20% Syrah) Rounded and fruit- driven, with ripe red berries on the nose, and a plump, juicy palate. £5.25 /£19.95

Starts with homemade bread and incredible date butter. I used to love a sweet cinnamon raisin cream cheese on bagels... this is like that, but 100x better. Second course was halloumi, then a glorious pide (Turkish chipati) with ground lamb and salad that you spread inside. Honestly, I was already so full that I could have stopped there. But...the amazing dishes kept coming. The cauliflower! With chili that wasn't overly hot, but had a smoky bite, this was one of the highlights of the meal. Next, we had a hake with greens and mustard sauce. Then, a ground lamb kebab. And THEN...dessert! Kind of a baklava, with a cheesy layer underneath and some cream and cherries. Divine. From start to end, it was pure pleasure.

I've been here twice with my most recent visit just a few days ago for a friend's birthday dinner…read more I love the cozy size of the restaurant with the kitchen being the stage. Watching the chefs and cooks at work is always entertaining. This place is all about sharing plates which I'm a big fan of since you can try lots of dishes and the food won't go to waste. We ordered the short ribs, Black Sea cheese pide, grilled hellim (halloumi cheese), seasonal vegetables and the Cyprus potato chips (forgot to get a picture. For dessert we ordered the künefe and for cocktails we all ordered the apple cinnamon drink which was actually a non-alcoholic option but our server said we could add alcohol- so we opted for gin. Wow, probably the best cocktail I've ever had actually. Now for the food: The hellim was cooked perfectly and came with a nice sauce but was a bit too sweet for my liking due to the honey The pide was rich but very tasty. The portion is a perfect size where everyone gets a good piece of it without feeling overly stuffed The seasonal greens were mega flavourful and this was one of my favorite dishes Seftali kebab (not pictured because we are it too fast ) the meat was very flavourful The Short rib was tasty with a crispy potato sticks garnish. I liked the meat but would recommend getting another portion of sharing. It had a fair amount of fat on it so I would have liked another order to get more meat. We asked for a birthday dessert which we had to pay for so we ordered the künefe. They did add a candle which was nice but I'm surprised they don't have a complimentary bday dessert option. Overall we had a nice meal. I could have eaten more but that's also because it takes a lot for me to get full. Rating this 4/5 based on the food alone
