The fries weren't special but were hot and salty. The coleslaw is pretty basic, but I suspect that is intentional to give you a flavor reset. The service was quick, and effective. Our server came by just enough to make sure we had everything we wanted. She also realized at a certain point that we were going to sit there and catch-up and she left us alone. The one oddity (and maybe she did tell me and I missed it), was that we had to bring the check up ourselves to the register. This particular one was New York to LA and stopped in his old high school town to try some local BBQ. We were not disappointed. Brothers BBQ is out of a small building with outdoor seating only. The brisket was juicy and thick cut, the sauce serving was generous and paired nicely with the char on the fat layer. My husband's hot link sandwich was delicious, the meat was sumptuous and flavorful. Finally the sides were surprisingly just as good if not even better than the BBQ! The collard greens were made perfectly, so hard to find a place that does it right and coaxes out such delicious flavors. The beans were by far the star though, I've never had better at any establishment in the country. There's some sort of ground meat and a little bit of spicy BBQ flavor that make these so irresistible.
