The Bourbon Bacon Pecan Salmon was pretty good. And the cocktail was tasty too. The desserts were to DIE for. The reason my star rating is so low is because the service was LOUSY. Our waitress had the enthusiasm of a rock, and had to be asked repeatedly for simple things like WATER and napkins. Then she messed up our checks. And didn't even thanks us for catching her errors (I assume she would've had to make up the difference?) Another thing is they've got seating out on the patio, but the sun would COOK you! My friends and I stayed at Echo Bluff Lodge for 2 nights and ended up having lunch, dinner (twice!) and a to go breakfast at Creekside Grill-it was convenient and THAT good. First off, the staff are lovely and so accommodating. Second-the outside patio and views-wow-just can't be beat! I very much enjoyed their Ozark salad and for dinner we split their vegetarian pizzas. For breakfast they had fruit, oatmeal and toast options well packaged to go and they even offer box lunches for days on the river. Be sure to order those at least a day in advance and they'll be ready for you to pick up before your river excursions the next day. Really fresh ingredients and fair prices for a restaurant attached to a state park lodge. We were well taken care of here and enjoyed all our meals at Creekside Grill. This is the place you want to eat at if you're staying in the area. My wife and I have been coming to Eminence, MO to visit Alley Springs for years. One of my biggest complaints with coming is the serious lack of any decent food anywhere in Eminence. Echo Bluff Lodge and the Creekside Grill is about 20 minutes from Eminence. The Lodge is fabulous and you won't find better accommodations within 40 miles. We ate at the Creekside Grill three nights in a row. Their chicken wings are fantastic and for two nights I enjoyed their meatloaf with two sides of mashed potatoes and brown gravy along with a Caesar Salad. I loved the dish so much the first night, I had to get it again for our last night of dining. Ambiance at the Creek Side Grill is much better in the outdoor seating area, however, when it is 100 degrees outside, there is no dining there. Inside seating is a combination of high tops and regular wooden tables and chairs. Not the most comfortable, however, this place is infinitely better than anything in a 30 mile radius. read more

The wings are probably the best thing on the menu right now. The cheeseburger and pizza are also good. Service was very slow, and we never received the sodas and cocktails that we ordered when we first sat down. We eventually received our food with the exception of our son's pizza. If you come here, definitely get a sandwich or burger. Their pizzas are subpar. I got the 10-inch cheese pizza, and it looked and tasted like a cheap oven pizza. Everything here is very expensive, but they're one of the only food options around. They only had one waiter when we ate here, and the service is very slow. The table next to ours had a single person waiting 30 minutes for a single grilled cheese to go. So eaten here a few times and all I can say is it's Eminence Mo not a big city. Breakfast was good, eggs, bacon, toast and potatoes. No problem. Dinner well that's another story, crab cakes more fillet than crab, ribs tough and not tasty, salads more croutons then greens, smoked wings were actually good! Nestled between Eminance and Salem Missouri, this gem is an amazing restaurant overlooking sinking creek just off of the Current River and the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. The food was perfect for coming in from a day on the river. The option to sit inside or outside on a sprawling deck overlooking the bluff and the chance to see wild horses makes for an epic lunch or dinner. The restaurant is a great place to eat, especially if you're staying at the Lodge! We love coming here after our canoe/kayak trips on the current river! We stayed at the Echo Bluff lodge for two nights, and had dinner at Creekside Grill for both days. The food was great, and it was nice to dine outside when the weather is good. We enjoyed the Caesar salad that comes with our entrées. Highly recommend the meat loaf. read more

Creekside Grill At Betty Lea Lodge at Echo Bluff State Park. The lodge Creekside Grill is located at the Betty Lea Lodge at Echo Bluff State Park. This is an excellent location to access the Ozark National Scenic Riverways park. The lodge was built in 2016 and is very up-to-date. It is furnished with comfortable, nice-looking furniture and appliances. We visited in October when fewer tourists are in the area. The busy season is likely the summer when people take kayak or canoe trips down the Current River and in Ozark National Scenic Riverways. By October, kids are back in school and fewer families likely visit. The Creekside Grill has about six indoor tables and about 20 outdoor tables on the lodge's deck. When we visited the Creekside Grill in October, there were one or two servers waiting the tables. We did not have a long wait to order or get our food. The first night I had two thin pork chops, which were overcooked and a bit dry. I also had a cob of corn (possibly frozen, then cooked) and coleslaw. My husband had a hamburger which he enjoyed. His sweet potato fries were good. We split an average chocolate lava cake with ice cream. We could have had alcoholic beverages for dinner. However, we had previously bought beer in the lodge's gift shop, stored it in our room refrigerator, and had drinks on the balcony of our room. So we did not have beer or wine in the restaurant. We had good breakfasts at Creekside Grill the next day. I had eggs. My husband had the yogurt parfait (yogurt, berries, and granola). The second night we had dinner at the Creekside Grill again. We split a hamburger and a chicken quesadilla. Both were very good. Our green side salad was good. We split a tasty blackberry tart for dessert. This was a good meal. The next morning we each had very good parfaits of yogurt, berries and granola. Everyone at the Creekside Grill is very friendly and helpful. We had some great conversations. read more

If there's one thing whoever runs this area needs to focus on, it's this restaurant right here. Otherwise, they have done a fantastic job at developing this area. The lodges are fantastic, the park is beautiful, and the park staff is doing a good job. The food, however, is horrendous, and the service was friendly but poor in terms of ability. Every individual's order at the table was wrong. The food came out cold. Despite being a small restaurant, coffee and water were rarely filled, and there just seemed to be an overall lack of awareness. Really, just not good at all. I'll give them a big check on portion sizes, but if I'm being honest, large portion sizes of not so great food doesn't do any good. read more

Sunday breakfast bar looked as they put it out the night before, we passed and asked for our money back. It was getting ready to storm one evening so we decided not to cook at camp and gave them another change. We order pizza and toasted raviolis. The raviolis were good but the pizza was from frozen and even still had the round cardboard on the bottom crust. We spent the week camping at the park and decided to have breakfast at the grill Sunday morning before leaving. We got there right when they opened. The staff is awesome, friendly, competent, and fast! The food was pretty good and the portion sizes were BIG! I had the French toast, my husband had the omelette. Everything was delicious and arrived to the table faster than I expected it to! This is a taste testing review! We were greeted by a friendly hostess who manned the whole dining area. There were about 4 families when we were seated. She was prompt and friendly with drinks and provided us with what was in the menu. The meal was in buffet format. We started with fried catfish with lemon, and a smoked chicken leg. Sides were fresh rolls, bacon macaroni and cheese, and steamed broccoli. The second go around was the smoked BBQ ribs. Everything was AMAZING but my favorite were the ribs. While the lodge itself is beautiful, the food at Creekside Grill left something to be desired. The staff was friendly and fairly attentive. Although, the morning waitress had brought her son, approximately 8-10 years old, and was constantly attending to his needs. Went for both dinner and breakfast the next morning as there are no other restaurants nearby. Dinner was cold and overcooked across the board. Our family of 4 ordered (1) salmon, (2) ribs, (3) mac and cheese, and (4) hummus. Salmon required a steak knife to be cut, ribs were dry and impossible to eat off the bone, mac and cheese was flavorless, and hummus was served with dry and cracking veggies. Breakfast was also disappointing. Our family ordered (1) french toast with eggs, (2) biscuits and gravy, and (3) breakfast burrito. Scrambled eggs were literally gray, gravy was cold and biscuit was hard, and breakfast burrito was served with "salsa" of stewed tomato chunks which appeared to be poured directly from the can. The view is unbeatable and the lodge is great, but I would not spend my money at the Creekside Grill. It is well worth the drive to travel to Eminence or Salem for a better meal at a better price. read more
