Here's why this place gets my UNICORN of the year award: smoking. That's right, you can flocking smoke here! Look, I'm not the type of smoker that needs or even wants a cigarette before/after a meal. I flippin' LOVE having that option. What can I say, I'm a Veteran, I dig FREEDOM. This place put freedom in your face. You don't wanna smoke, they got a section for you, it's cool. Or you could pop over to literally anywhere else that caters to your non-smoking ways. What do we have anymore?: Lazy C's, that's what. This is the type of establishment I will go to until the day it closes, or I kick-up and die. Let's talk food... first, you may have to wait for your food, if they are busy or no. Be patient. Think about where you are. The food, regardless of your feelings of "oh no, smoking " is worth the wait. I had the fish basket. I asked if the fish is frozen: yes. Usually that'd be a no go right there. HOWEVER, the server assured me that it was a favorite on the menus and the fish was frozen with efficiency in mind, not because it was store-bought or what have you. The basket arrived, the fish was hot, I snapped a fillet in two and... CATFISH! Those who know me well know that I don't like catfish. Like, vehemently. I was hungry and I'm never one to return something I ordered, especially after all my questions on freshness ‍ I took the smallest of bites... then another... slapped hubs hands away from my basket and devoured the whole fillet within seconds. Hubs was like "I thought you don't like..."... there is always one exception to every rule..? Maybe that just applies to catfish Then... we went back... two more times within that same week. Lazy C's Grill might have "lazy" in the name, but there's absolutely nothing lazy about the flavor! From the moment I walked in, the place had that perfect mix of hometown charm and sizzling-on-the-grill goodness that makes you instantly hungry. I went in expecting a simple bite and left wondering why I hadn't been coming here all along. The food is exactly what comfort food should be--generous portions, cooked with care, and packed with flavor. My meal came out hot, fresh, and clearly made by someone who knows their way around a grill. Every bite tasted like it was crafted with pride. Can't say enough good things about this place. About 20 of us traveling to a funeral, came in, unannounced for lunch and they were so accommodating. We enjoyed a variety of individual orders and the service was outstanding. Even with desert, we were able to arrive at the funeral home in plenty of time. In town with my father and son, we found this place by chance. I'm glad we did as the food was good and the service was top notch. They serve breakfast all day, which is worth a star in and of itself. My father and son both ordered eggs, biscuits & gravy, hash browns, and bacon. I ordered the Big Dusty burger. Everything we ordered was delicious and prepared exactly as ordered. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive. It's a good small town diner. I recommend you give it a try. read more

The smoking section made the place uncomfortable and the food was mediocre. The fries were good and the staff was friendly.

I stopped at Lazy C's grill because it was lunch time and the reviews. The location of this restaurant is not on the actual main Hwy; which is Hwy 60 but it is not far from there. The service was excellent; our waitress was friendly and courteous. She refilled our beverages when asked. The food menu listed a variety of ways to order a hamburger; one way was Doritos on it. I had the Swiss and mushroom and it was delicious! In general it is a local town home kind of place. Enjoy! read more

Not the most presentable place. There's a smoking and a non smoking section. Seems to be a favorite spot for the locals. But had real good food and friendly service. Burger was delicious and so were the curly fries. Lemonade was not my favorite, and I'm an avid lemonade drinker. read more
