When we tried to get in touch with him for an update he was always unavailable. When we finally got through after a month to tell him that we were taking it to someone else. Oh and icing on the cake, we had it in for a couple minor repairs, but when we picked it up, for some reason the check engine light was on. It wasn't on when we dropped it off and of course this guy "claims" to have done nothing to it. My guess is that he broke it and didn't want to take responsibility so he just kept putting it off until we got annoyed enough to take it back. Do yourself a favor and drive past this "mechanic", he is a hack and completely unprofessional.

The rim of the tire was badly damaged, the alignment was severely out of wack, and we weren't sure if the car was roadworthy. Almost every single auto repair shop in the vicinity was closed, but my wife noticed this one was still open. Mark was incredibly friendly and helpful, took the time to check under the car to make sure that nothing else besides the rim was damaged, verified that the tire was not punctured, shaved the rim down for us so that it wasn't mangled and sticking out, and rotated it to the back for us. He took his time and did a thorough job, even painting the hub cap that was scraped. He didn't have an alignment machine, but we recommended that we take care of that as soon as possible, which we did. His prices are fair and reasonable. I was very happy with the service and would not hesitate to go here again.

I'm from Woodbridge, VA and making the drive up to Bergey's in Hanover, PA to get my new car (used,…read morebut new to me) was the best decision I made during this process. Negotiations were easy-going, fair and straightforward. I was shopping for a Honda Ridgeline for a little over a month, but most places were either very rigid in their negotiations or it felt like they were running a playbook on me. I didn't have to deal with any of that here, and it didn't feel like they were just trying to squeeze as much juice out of me as they could... I understand that everyone has to make a living, and life in sales is not easy, so I don't necessarily hold it against the other Dealerships, but Bergey's is different. The whole vibe here is easy-going and straightforward and that is as good as it gets in the world of car shopping. It makes sense after we came to find out Bergey's has been in business for a little over 100 years. Their motto is to simply treat others as you would like to be treated. It's that simple and that's how a business earns trust and grows for 100 years. From what I've seen they adhere to that motto. They're a bit of a throwback to simpler times. I had been working all day with the nicest Salesman ever, Owen but when I called back right around 5pm to set up my test drive the next morning he had left for the day. I ended up speaking with the Sales Manager, Joe and I told him that we had gotten to a place where I was ready to take a day off of work to swing up there for a test drive the next day. Then he said "great, I'll put the keys on Owen's desk"... And I chimed in with "Okay, but don't you need me to put a $500-$1,000 hold on the vehicle with my Credit Card to reserve it and ensure nobody else can swipe it out from under me?..." Joe replied "Not at all, I put the keys on his desk and we'll see you tomorrow". It was that simple and that is not the case everywhere else. His word was his bond, simpler times indeed. Jordan was our guy that ran us through all of the paperwork and he made the process a breeze with no pressure to add on this or that, which again is not the norm. Other staff we talked to throughout the day were very pleasant as well and everyone has a good sense of humor too. We got the car that we wanted at a price we could agree on through an essentially painless process, not bad. Ultimately, I think they have set the bar for us in all of our future car buying endeavors. There is a good chance we will see them again down the road.

I dropped my car off here to get work done and was told everything would be handled properly…read more Instead, it turned into a complete nightmare. My car sat on their lot for three days with no updates. When they finally called, I paid nearly $1,000 and went to pick it up--only to realize they had left my doors unlocked the entire time. Because of that negligence, someone went into my car and stole everything inside. To make matters worse, I was told that none of the cameras on their lot were working, which is unacceptable for a business that keeps customers' vehicles overnight. After everything that happened, they only reimbursed me $40, which doesn't even begin to cover what was taken or the stress caused. Since then, I've spoken with several people around town and learned that this isn't an isolated incident. Hearing that others have had similar issues with care and security only makes this situation more frustrating. To top it all off, my check engine light came back on just one week after the inspection, which seriously makes me question the quality and reliability of the work performed. I paid expecting professionalism, security, and accountability--and received the opposite. This business showed a complete lack of responsibility when it came to customer property.
