A BLAST!!!! On our last day in Tucson we were recommended to go to the ostrich ranch. Personally I find the terrifying so I wasn't interested but the rest of my group was and my friend said that there was tons of other animals there to enjoy. Holy moly was it fun!!! Here's the scoop. You get there and pay the very very affordable fee that includes food for every group of animals you meet. We love every single second. All the animals look healthy and in clean habitats. Shout out to Tom who held a spot for us and help out explaining everything. Honestly everyone there was kind and helpful.

Amazing place to feed animals. The monster truck ride is so fun and a must! My kids (12,10,8) loved this place so much we were back 2 days later. Picked up an ostrich egg and meat to try! Will be back!

This place was a crazy and comical time. We spent $15 for 14 stations of animal feeding and a bonus station of feeding stingrays! The animals were so sweet when feeding them. The ostriches were scary but didn't hurt. A bird did poop on my friend (haha) so don't wear your floor length gowns! Each staff member was so nice and helped guide us around the park. The location was a good pit stop between phoenix and tuscan. The state park right outside is also nice! We didn't time it right for a monster truck show unfortunately. There are a few food options but we didn't grab anything there since some of us were vegetarian. Odd to offer Ostrich meat right after we fed them I'll recommend others to have this experience for a good price !

Lots of fun animals to pet and feed. It was a very warm day so the animals all seemed hot but I think that's to be expected. The lorikeet and stingrays were a favorite!

Such a good experience for how much you are paying. It was less than $20 to feed all kinds of animals. The lorikeets were so cute. I think that was my favorite. The ostriches were fun to see as well. A little bit of a drive from the Phoenix metro but especially for those who have children, it's well worth the drive.

This Ostrich Ranch was so much fun and it made for a cute little road trip on the weekend. It's affordable at just $12-15 admission, which includes plenty of feed for every single animal here. It's basically a giant outdoor petting zoo. They have ostriches, donkeys, deer, ducks, parakeets, bunnies, tortoises, goats, sheep, and even a stingray pool. You can really take your time feeding every animal and it wasn't super crowded when I went. Will definitely have to come back with more friends and visitors.

Beautifully maintained ranch that is cost effective and fun for people of all ages. Food provided with entrance admission cost- informational video plays in entrance to help educate everyone on the dos and don'ts of feeding the animals. Great variety of animals - donkeys, deer, goats, chickens, bunnies, sheep, tortoises a couple of species of birds and of course the ostrich'. As you walk through the ranch each animal's area also has detailed instructions on feeding and safety to insure that you have the best experience possible. Such a great place!

Decided to finally make the drive to the Ostrich Ranch a couple months ago early in the morning of course being we're in Az & so glad we did just sorry we waited so long! This is a definite must for all those visiting from out of state & locals alike because first of all it's hands on not just for the kiddos but moms & dads too! Myself well I'm the picture taker & hubby got in there with our little one & they had a blast! You have several options when purchasing your admission tickets because a lot of it includes feeding the animals which must only be done with the food they provide! They even sell you the calamari for you to feed the stingrays which is the very last attraction that's in the same building as the gift shop. The Ostrich Ranch is nicely spaced out & also well organized, it takes about 2 hours to go through the whole ranch without rushing through it because there's just so much to enjoy! There's also a very nice gift shop with a nice selection for all to choose a little souvenir to take home! So on that weekend you're stuck on what to do with the family, take a drive down to the Ostrich Ranch... you'll have a blast!

It was a unique experience that my family will never forget. They all had fun, and it was educational too. Definitely worth the visit. Even my pickiest family members enjoyed it.

Definitely worth the drive from Phoenix! Awesome petting zoo with many animals. You get to feed donkeys, deers, various kind of birds, ostrich, goats, sheep, chicken, ducks, bunnies and even rays! The place was well organized and the interaction with the animals was fun and memorable. Definitely going back again!

We hit Rooster Cogburn's on a March morning that felt more like mid-July, so arriving at opening was the only thing that saved us from melting. The Good: The animals are clearly living their best lives. They are healthy, happy, and have better comedic timing than most stand-up comedians--specifically the donkey who treats his open mouth like a donation bin for snacks. Absolute gold. The staff? Total gems. Kind, patient, and clearly care about the critters. The Not-So-Good: The bus ride. If I wanted to be packed this tightly with strangers, I'd move to NYC and ride the subway at rush hour. For the price of the ticket, I expected a seat, not a "shared lap" experience with the man next to me who couldn't decide if he wanted to stand or sit on my legs. Between being squashed like sardines and the long, stationary "heat-soaks" while waiting for the bus ahead of us to move, my grandsons weren't just learning about ostrich tags--they were basically being slow-roasted. We learned what to do if an ostrich attacks, but I'm still looking for the manual on what to do when a stranger keeps using you as a recliner. The Verdict: 10/10 for the animal park. 2/10 for the bus-shaped sauna.

Great place to take your family even your date. Friendly environment alot of fun feeding the animals. If you have time I definitely recommend doing the monster truck. Make sure you get tickets advance cause they do sell out. Also warmer also effects times make sure you check there website.

Our party ran smoothly and the kids (plus their parents) all had a wonderful time. The kids utilized the petting zoo the entire party, played corn hole (provided by TRAK) and got the opportunity to ride a full-sized horse. The handlers even let the parents have a ride, which was a nice surprise that was very much appreciated. Thank you, TRAK team!

Leading up to the party, Christy was incredibly responsive and patient, answering all of my questions via email and even giving us a tour of the venue ahead of time. The space was absolutely perfect for our princess unicorn theme. During the party, Rebecca and DJ were so kind, patient, and attentive with all 15 kids, allowing them to ride the ponies multiple times, helping with photos while riding, and bringing out the hare and baby goat for petting--which the kids absolutely loved. All of the animals, including the miniature horses, donkey, sheep, alpaca, chickens, geese, and ducks, were very friendly and tolerant with the children. It was obvious how well cared for and loved the animals are. DJ even went above and beyond by helping my husband lift a heavy cooler full of drinks during setup, which was greatly appreciated. The party setup looked beautiful, and everyone--kids and parents alike--had an amazing time. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Charming Pony Parties to anyone looking for a truly special and memorable celebration!

The whole reason we did this for her birthday is because my daughter is a strong believer in unicorns and absolutely loves them. Upon arriving the kids immediately noticed the "unicorn" and his horn was lopsided, falling off of his head. My daughter went up to the employee and told her that the horn was falling off. Later she told me that it broke her heart it wasn't a real unicorn. If you have a group coming specifically for a unicorn encounter that unicorn should be ready and looking magical as can be for their arrival. Additionally, the second reason we chose this experience was because the website said you would get to hold bunnies. My daughter loves bunnies and told me all leading up to the party that she couldn't wait to hold a bunny. The employee did NOT let the girls hold bunnies at all, she only let them pet the bunny. It also said they would feed alpacas, sheep, and goats. They didn't have the girls feed any animals at all. In fact no one was guiding through the process at all aside from a lady taking the girls in a circle twice on the pony. Then she disappeared for a long time until she finally came back out and brought out one bunny for them to pet. The AC was not turned on in the castle until we were about to leave and it was 2:30 in the afternoon so almost 100 degrees outside. Overall very disappointed and would not recommend going here. We paid $125 for the kids to basically run around a farm for an hour in 100 degrees. The reviews had been so great saying they make it a magical experience and sadly the magic was exactly what we were missing today.

First, it's generally quite crowded on weekends. And when I say crowded I mean large family groups who have little regard for personal space or visitor rules. On my last visit I was nearly knocked down multiple times by groups of children who appeared to have little to no supervision. Visitors often hog exhibits trying to take selfies or sitting children on rails to get photos with animals. And let's not get into kids and adults banging on glass exhibits trying to get the attention of the animals. Staff is nonexistent to prevent this it seems. Beyond that the place just feels rundown and a bit dreary. Exhibit glass is often so dirty you can't see through. Exhibits are sort of drab and small. Water is often very unclean and full of debris and even trash. There is one food option which is very expensive and the dining area unkempt. You'd think they would have some options to buy water or cold treats considering our weather but I've never seen any open on my visits. It's nice to have a zoo in town but it just seems this could be so much better. Your kids will probably love it but if you're used to world class zoos it will be a bit depressing.

It is possible given that I saw other smaller cars on the roads over, but I can't imagine it's fun or great for your vehicle. To be truly prepared for the amount of dust and grime that is on your car after the drive alone, I would allot time for a car wash after everything is said and done. I will caveat that the price point is steep for an encounter that ended up being under thirty minutes, so I saved this for a special occasion. They all are pretty friendly so it was a cool experience to pet and give food to each animal. It was an educational tour as well since our guide had a lot of information about each animal to tell us. We went on a locals day where child admission was free with an adult ticket. Check their website for other days if you are a local. There was another day where they were bringing in a fennec fox which would be another awesome experience. The farm is a bit out of the ways if you are traveling from the Phoenix area so be sure to leave enough travel time to get there before your tour. It took us about 90 minutes driving to get there. There's not much around the farm either so be prepared. There's a small gift store near the entrance which sells all sorts of capybara laser cut wood items, water bottles and stickers.
