Looks as if that crow is posing with my coffee!!

I have to say, I absolutely love Rook New Orleans Iced Coffee, if you love real coffee that actually has taste you need to try this blend. The shop is great, it's connected to the train station. The staff is awesome! The only thing I hope Rook does is update their sipper cups because they do tend to leak around the lids. All in all ~ New Orleans is my favorite!!

    Smallest option. 16 oz.

I once got on such an early train leaving Little Silver, this place wasn't even open yet. But the aroma of the coffee was seeping out the cracks around the doors and windows, almost teasing me. Never in all my life did I want something so bad that I couldn't have. So I made it a point to try to time my next train at a later time so I could come here when they were actually open. Today, I hit the jackpot. I was greeted by a friendly batista offering three different kinds of coffee. I went with the Ethiopian. Duh. That is, after all, the birthplace of coffee. The blueberry danish was probably not made on site but was still good. The coffee, danish and a bottle of water only came to $6.55. Very reasonable, especially considering this place is the only option for coffee at the train station and the ambiance and smell of fresh brew suck you in.

Not really sure what kind of newsstand/early morning coffee place used to inhabit this train station over the years, but I'd say putting a Rook coffee spot in it is an excellent use of what always seemed like a wasted space to me because whatever was there would be shuttered by noon. If you like Rook coffee in general then there's not much I can tell you, so I'll just say a cup of their quality joe or the iced latte is definitely arefreshing way to make a mundane train ride to NYC more enjoyable.

Pour over iced coffee at the Little Silver train station / inside the station house.

As I walked across the tracks to head right to Track 2 at the Little Silver train station, I thought to myself, "It would be great to grab a cup of coffee." I turned around and saw the deli/pizza joints in the strip mall 50 feet behind me but was too lazy to turn around. As I approached the Little Silver station house, I see a sign saying "Rook Coffee/Roasters" inside! Wow! My lucky day - how fab is this? A pour over coffee shop INSIDE the station house. Wonderful. That's all I have to say, wonderful. Oh! The pour over coffee is damn tasty. THIS has been a review by Gaurav

    Perfect location, the train station!

Not many choices. My coffee just wasn't made right and was bitter. If I'm going to spend that much on coffee I'll go to Starbucks. Sorry

I find the coffees here to taste diluted. Also annoying that I cannot pour the milk/cream on my own.

I stopped by the Long Branch location, located in a small plaza with plenty of parking. The interior is pretty small. No seating available - just a register to order, counter, pick-up area, and merchandise section. They only operate as a grab-and-go. I can see it being cramped during rush hours in the morning... luckily I came by on a weekday afternoon and was the only one there. Rook prides itself on having a small and simple menu. They only sell hot pour-over single origin coffee and cold brew. They picked a few things to perfect and do really well. So for espresso lovers, you're out of luck. BUT don't let that steer you away because their drinks are phenomenal. They use high quality, premium beans. The employee was extremely helpful with guiding me through the menu and giving me recommendations. I love that milks and sweeteners are available at no additional charge! They also have decaf and half caf options. I ordered a Vanilla Cold Brew (regular size $5.50) with milk and sugar. And let me tell you... it was love at first sip! It was probably the best cold brew I've ever had. Super smooth, rich, and creamy. The vanilla flavor wasn't overpowering and added just the right amount of sweetness. I definitely understand why so many people love their coffee. I wish there were more locations closer to North Jersey because I can see myself becoming a regular. If you can't visit a storefront, you can buy their cold brew concentrates or coffee beans online. Don't sleep on Rook!

Stopped in while I was nearby and went with a classic drip brewed coffee and one of their frittata sandwiches. They offered different brew strengths which was cool that I had the option and not forced into one. I went with the light roasted brew with some almond milk and vanilla syrup. Their light roast is exactly that, light roast. The coffee tasted great and had hints of flavor I've never really tasted in other commercial light roasts. I also ordered their frittata sandwich on rosemary focaccia. This is definitely something you wouldn't expect to find in your average cafe! The sandwich was hot and definitely made that day. The frittata had chopped up bits of bacon and cheddar throughout and paired well with the rosemary focaccia. They definitely thought out of the box with that one. What sets this place apart from the others is that they serve you with a smile. From the moment you order to the when your food is handed of the customer service here is top notch. If you follow The Baker's Grove on social media, you see that they post pictures of these beautiful pastries and pastry cakes weekly. Let's dive into the details: the crust on both of these desserts are delicious and seemingly identical but they shine differently as they pair with the other ingredients in their recipe. The S'mores tart was rich in chocolate, with a toasted marshmallow topping. The cheesecake was big enough to share and also had some beautiful elements such as the toasted coconut, and the creamy whipped topping. Their service was fast and the line moved quickly. I loved the big display window giving a visual to the hard work happening in their kitchen too, a nice personal touch indeed!
