It has never looked so good after painting. As you can see from the photos, the fence has spearheads, balls, and multiple rails, making the painting process more difficult. 808 F&R carefully prepared the fence, removing rust bubbles and grinding down the the metal where needed. We flew over from California for a couple of weeks. 808 F&R was able to start and complete the job while we were on Oahu. The hand rails for the steps are definitely sturdy and well constructed but home health pointed out the gap between the two base of the rail was too wide. Someone could slip under the rail and off the steps. Feina did ask if I wanted one or two rails during the estimate but I didn't know why - so I said one.

We just moved back home to Oahu from the mainland and decided to completely remodel a home that's been in the family for over forty years. It's a classic 50s Hawaii house, with all of the charm and challenges that go with it. We interviewed several builders and architects for the project. One reason we chose Tall Builders was because Victor and the office staff were so quick, clear, and consistent in their communication. It was also super convenient that they could both design and build, and that their design services were sold separately so we could always change our minds before committing. Ronnie was our designer, and she was fantastic. Big renovations can be overwhelming with so many decisions to make, and Ronnie was incredibly generous and helpful from beginning to end. Victor was always a text message away throughout the entire process, and he was incredibly gracious at all times--even when we texted on nights and weekends. Our build site is very challenging. The house is high on a steep hillside with many winding stairs from street to house, and the street itself is a steep blind curve. We were amazed at what the crew was able to do on such a difficult site. They were able to demolish the house to the studs, remove all of the rubble, and rebuild everything, including significant foundation and flood mitigation work, electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, windows, floors, bathrooms, kitchen, and even helped us source appliances.
