My tires were in really bad shape and with my lease ending, I didn't want to spend a fortune on brand new tires. Got 4 slightly used matching tires in great condition for a very reasonable price. I was in and out in a half hour. I would recommend Ron's Used Tires! read more

I was referred here by a tire specialist since I had only one tire to replace after bumping a curb. It was a great experience. I love auto shops. They can be grungy or pristine. You never know what you get, but you always get a good, bad ass chick behind the counter in the rougher ones. I like knowing that I won't get scammed because she knows her shyt. The garage, trailer beds and yard is stacked with random sizes of tires. It feels like being in a treasure trove looking for the Holy Grail, but the tire guru that sits in there, looks at your vehicle, then knows what to look for and pulls a tire to mount on the wheel hub. They usually have the wheel lock key, but keep that in mind if you get your tires rotated, etc. Have it accessible. For the pro-rated price of the tire, you can save a few dollars. Just examine it, overall, it shouldn't be in terrible condition. read more

I've bought used tires from Ron's on a few occasions and was quite satisfied with the tires and the service. Today, I bought two new tires from Ron's in Manassas. I was told the tires have an 80,000 warranty. I paid for the tires and waited for them to be mounted. The tires are for my granddaughter's car before she heads back to college, 200 miles away. When the tires were on the car, I told her to go ahead and leave to get on the road and I'd take care of the paperwork. When they gave me no paperwork that says anything about a warranty, I started asking question. I was told, if there was a problem with the tires, I needed to contact the manufacturer. I asked how I would do that. They told me to go to the website. I went to the website. It says if there is a problem with the tire to take it back to the authorized dealer. Therein lies the problem. Ron's is not an authorized dealer of Nexen tires. They cannot honor a warranty. So, I just paid them $480 for two tires that, for all intents and purposes, have no warranty. Their response was, "they are good tires and I won't have a problem with them." What a terrible way to do business. I have stopped payment on my credit card and I will not be buying from Ron's again. To be fair, they've offered to refund my purchase. So, we spent two hours today getting the tires mounted. My granddaughter is now on the way back to college and I'm supposed to bring the tires back for a refund. I'm not sure how this is going to play out. I don't want to cheat them as they tried to do to me. I guess I'll have to figure out some way to get the tires back to them. Stay away. read more

Priced correctly, service was fast saved 45% . Needed to sell a car and replace a curb rash tire. . Would recommend. Obviously the warranty is not the same as a certified distributor. It's a used tire . read more

Horrible! I had just left the bmw dealer to come here for a quick tire change and what I got from it is a cracked rims!!!! Everything looked fine when I left but that evening my tire went flat so I went back the next morning for them to tell me my rim is cracked. Ummmm i was just at bmw getting serviced and my rim was fine and my rim has been fine. To replace my rim is $400. Can't find a used at all in the same style. I called no help is being given to me or assistance. I had my husband call and they are so rude no one wants to take responsibility. They said they will call me and nothing! I am spending more money putting air in my tire every day! They have not even offered to pay for the damage! DO NOT GO HERE! read more

For customer service this place gets 5 star but for the mechanics I would give no star if I could. This place has a big reception area and the gentleman who helped us was very nice and even asked us to come back and checkout the tires. After picking the 4 tires who his help we only had to wait max 45 min or even less. The price was great too btw. We left happy and thought we don't have to go back and it's all taken care of. The car had a very faint noice and we thought it's the bend rim that we know of but After driving for about 10 minutes the noice keep getting louder and louder. We pulled over to check and the tires were not secured at all. The locks were all lose. Called them and let them know what happened. This is dangerous and I am not sure why the mechanic did not pay attention. It was just very irresponsible of the mechanic. If you go there please make sure they have secured the tires. Check all the locks and make sure the tires are secure. read more

Like another user suggested, you are better off getting new tires. They tried to upsell me on some new tires they had that were conveniently the size I needed, but I almost feel like I got crappy used tires because I told them no to the new. Bought 2 front tires for my car in October and both of them are completely bald now. One of the tires had a slow leak. I thought there might have been a nail or something in it and was too faw away, so I went to a local tire shop and discovered the one I had been sold was previously patched and had a slow leak. I have bought used tires in the past but never had this poor of quality. I should also mention, when I went in to purchase my tires for the first time, there was a customer in the office complaining about how his car now shakes since they replaced all 4 of his tires (**side eye**) read more

So unprofessional!!! Went to this place to replace one tire because it failed inspection. When i got there the man attempted to talk me into replacing two. The other was in perfect condition but bc I'm a female he assumed I wouldn't know better. He then tried to over charge me $60 but little did he know I called the day before to get a $40 estimate. Another man came out during the process and talked about the whole thing in Spanish but once again little did they know I am Afro Latina and understood their plan to over charge me and write false information on my receipt for the "90 day warrantee" If i could i would give this place a Neg star!!! Never Again!!!! read more

Been going to them for approximately 6 years. Today, after tire was installed (new), my car on the same tire change side, collapsed (refused to turn) still not sure if it was them, but it literally occurred 30 minutes after. Waiting for the tow company to give me info and estimate. After paying $106 for a new tire on a 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser, Im looking at minimum $125 for tow and approximately $ 300 more for fix pending their inspection. So sad, I recommended so many folks here and when I called they just brushed me off. Even if it turns out they are not the cause which now after researching is very plausible, the manager Marcus had horrible customer service and instead of pointing a finger at me, shouldve realized folks like me bring them a lot of business. read more

bought two tires here that were bad, side walls were cracked and also the entire tire/threads. Wasted my time driving back there to get replacements. Had to explain to the staff because he couldnt notice the cracks as my car failed VA inspection due to bad tires sold to me. They just sold me their junk throw away tires just to get rid of them. poor service took me 10 mins to explain to the guy working there, no one spoke any english there so i couldnt even establish communication. It was like talking to a wall. Better off buying new tires, ends up being the same price in the end. read more

Highly disappointed by their tires quality. If your a regional manager and looking at this review, you should contact me and replace two front tires I got it from the manassas location. First of all, your used tire selection was a joke. And when I picked out the tires first, your employees did not use that tire, telling me it had a ball size pop on the tire. They replaced with the tire that had no thread and after they got finished, they told me to go to another manassas location. After going there though they didn't have the right size. Thanks for taking 70 dollars and two hours worth of my time. read more

Came here to get tire plugged. Quick and painless $15. Sign did say cash only this day but had it on me so no big deal.

Ive been to this Ron's twice. First time I got a somewhat decent tire that would barely get me through inspection, but the second time they gave me a dry rotted tire that wouldnt hold air. I took it back and replaced it with another tire that had the exact same two problems. read more

Great people! Fast service! Recommend them! The tires were good thank you so much. I will be back! :)

I should have just gotten new tires. $80 completely wasted. They often don't have tires in popular sizes. I got two front tires and they are the loudest tires I have ever had. I have been trying to get any of these locations to honor the warranty and I get excuses at every turn. One location blamed it on my car, one on the tread and they all say they don't have the tire I need. Never going back. read more

I took my truck into Ron's used tires to have a plug put in a slow leaking tire that I had. I was informed a patch was the better way to go. I said to the tech that whatever needed to be done was fine. I paid and left and drive home and noticed I had a bad vibration that was not there previous. I called Ron's the following day and asked the nice lady there if they forgot to balance my tire or something. She replied that we don't balance tires for a patch repair. Really? They removed the tire and added a patch, a tire needs to be balanced afterwards. I can't think of a circumstance as to when a person would want a tire tossed on a daily driven vehicle. I was out in Front Royal the following day and saw another Ron's tire and pulled in and they did take care of the issue at no charge. It was just kinda frustrating as to why this is not there normal procedure when they up sell you on a patch over a plug. I did 2 stars instead of one because of the Front Royal store taking care of the issue at no charge. read more

We've bought used tires from other Ron's locations. The one on 29 is great. The Ball's Ford location has been a bad experience twice. Once selling two mismatched tires to go on the same 'axle' of a car. Worse yet one leaked down flat in two days and the other was was plugged. For half the price charged a plugged tire would be 'ok', not good but ok. The attitude of the employees was not helpful or friendly, one seemed set on selling new tires. Do not go to Balls Ford, try the Route 29 location if you can't get new tires. Even a used tire that looks great may be a accident waiting to happen. Don't make your used tire gamble worse by gambling at the Balls Ford Ron's. read more

Recently my niece bought a tire from Ron's and had the worst experience with buying a used tire ever. No one spoke english. They sold her one with no tread so the second she drove off she could tell her car wasn't driving the same with that tire. She went back 20 min after buying it, and told them she didn't feel safe and after getting a second opinion they told her that tire should not have been sold to her because its doesnt have enough tread. The sign said no cash refunds. She paid with a credit card and they said they would only refund her half and keep the other half for labor. Headquarters in culpeper was NOT very profession at all. The lady told her she would call back in an hour and never did and never even gave her back half. I will never go to any Ron's ever!! They will rip you off. All they want it your money. read more

Got a tire yesterday morning, horrible shaking as I was driving later on in day, parked all afternoon and evening, came out in evening to a flat tire. Filled it with air next morning flat again! Worst experience ever. I go in 15minutes before they close and explained to them that i needed a new valve stem because mine was snapped and i was stuck on the side of the road. The getleman at the desk was no gentleman at all. I believe his name is Enol or at least that's what he put on the receipt. We asked for help because putting in a valve stem is quick and painless and he said i dont do work, i am doing paperwork. WHO SAYS THAT TO A CUSTOMER? so we go around back to look for a mechanic. We found a mechanic that would help us. He almost didnt because the man that told us he just does paperwork told him to tell us that they were closed. He talked crap about us in spanish which of course he thought we couldnt understand him. The older gentleman let us bring the tire back and he did it in 10minutes not a problem and we tipped him because he wasnt crazily rude like the man at the front. I will NOT be returning here. Thank you so much for being rude! read more

Purchased 3 used tires from Ron's 30 days ago and they did not make it through inspection. Went back within their alleged 30 day return period and they first tried to insinuate that the tires were switched and then said that the tires were worn from over usage. I do not think that within 30 days and 100 miles that these tires should be cracking and not passing inspection. Very rude customer service who use profanity during interaction. I had to get a new front driver side tire before a road trip and I've been coming here for the past 4 replacement tires(college student and I travel for my job). I bought a used tire for my civic (185/65 R14) for about $37. It was a Tomo brand tire that looked pretty good. I got home and the next morning I went outside to see that the tire I purchased was completely flat. I called Hector at the Balls ford location and he told me to come back in and he'd take care of it. I showed up and Hector personally took the old flat tire and installed a Michelin brand tire that looked to be in even better shape than the last one, free of charge and pumped up the other tires of my car for free. Come to this location for discounted used tires and a warranty the manager will actually stand behind. I will be coming back to the balls ford location specifically because of the great customer service Hector and his team provided me. read more

I had to get three tires on my car to pass inspection, I thought it would be a good idea to utilize Ron's Used Tires. On my way there my car drove fine, didn't pull in any direction and didn't vibrate. After they got done changing my tires I paid my bill and left. I noticed immediately that the car pulled to the right and the steering wheel was vibrating. I brought it back and they tested the balance of one of the wheels and said everything was fine but I should take it to their manasses shop because "they have a better balance machine". I did so, with the car still doing the same shake and pull routine and when I got there and the mechanic checked my wheels pointed out to me that one of my rims were bent. I told him it wasn't doing that before I got to his Gainesville shop and that they must of bent it. He simply said "I don't know how it happened but I'll put a bunch of weight on the rim to keep it from shaking". What a joke!!! Do not utilize any Ron's Used Tires, they are a joke and a bunch of scam artist. Not to mention after all this, the very next day I find out there is a nail in one of the tires. I repeat, DO NOT us this company!!! read more

Awful customer service! I attempted to give them my business today, but they answered the phone, and just left if laying down. Tried to call back twice, no answer... what is going on here?
