If I could give this place a "0" I would! I can not believe the customer service here, from the owner, of all people. I called to get the "Call to get a FREE oil change!" offer that I just found on their page. The owner said, "I have too look at that, my wife does all that stuff". He said, he would "call (me) right back." 15 min go by. I have things to do. As we all do. I decided to call him back to see if he'd "honor it?" HE LITERALLY STARTED YELLING AT ME AND CUSSING AT ME. I told him, "I am all about customer service and write my reviews mainly based on customer service and I do not appreciate how you're talking too me." Click. I hung up, because I was frazzled and in disbelief that that this guy was LITERALLY yelling at me! He then calls me back and says, "The free oil change is with any auto repair!" Again, yelling at me. I was in shock. I exclaimed, "I still can't believe how you are talking too me?!" He then keeps going and says, "NO, I CANT BELIEVE HOW YOU ARE TALKING TO ME! I've been taking my cars to Ron for years now. From Ford to BMW. I took my BMW M5 to the dealer for an oil leak which I suspected was from a bad oil cooler, it took them 3 days to diagnose and charged me $120 for the diagnostics and quoted me $2500 + tax to repair. I then took it to Ron and within hours got me a quote for the repair which was 1/2 of what the dealer was charging. And Ron only uses quality oem or better parts. I brought my Mitsubishi Montero Limited in to Ron to have a large list of work done. Ron diagnosed a check engine light, replaced the offending O2 sensor, replaced the front brake pads, lube guard (I don't know what this is), air filter, timing belt tensioner, water pump, timing belt, spark plugs, performed oil and filter change, transmission flush, brake fluid flush, power steering flush, radiator flush, front differential flush, rear differential flush, and transfer case flush for $1838. Ron used OEM replacement parts and NGK laser iridium spark plugs as well. The oil change he threw in for free. When I dropped off my car he even gave me a ride back home. This is my first experience with Ron and he seems a very nice and honest person. He showed me the parts he removed from my vehicle which I appreciated. I'm long overdue in rating Ron's. Our multi-generational household has 5 older (10+ years older) vehicles. Needless to say, when we moved to the area, finding a good (and reasonable) mechanic was imperative. I found the one 5-star review on Yelp in early 2012, and decided to chance it. We ended up taking all our vehicles (Subaru, Audi, Mercedes, Mitsubishi, Honda) to Ron for one reason or another, and some, for many different reasons. Ron calls us "good customers". :-). Needless to say, we've tested him every which way, and can only say he's very, very good. He cares; he does solid repairs; and he does not overcharge. Our latest visit was this past week. Ron was trying to get a car back to us as soon as he could, in spite of having a recent personal injury that made it difficult for him to even walk! He kept apologizing for the delay. He broke the news to us that our newly-purchased (used) Audi had been in an accident (carfax was clean, but it must not have been reported to insurance) and the whole front end was held together with zipties. His past experience with body work came in handy in being able to get the car back together in spite of missing supports. We would never have known. This is a quality family-run business (Ron's wife Gina handles the office) that I highly recommend. read more

I had a well meaning ASE mechanic I knew help me out with a leaking clutch master cylinder (there is a master cylinder and a slave cylinder for the clutch) He installed it and we could not get it bled (get the air out of the system) so he kept working on it and wound up damaging the threads on the slave cylinder. I had my car towed to Ron's. That is when I learned about the damaged threads. I had him fix it and it did take a while since he will not use aftermarket parts for most repairs. They really are less reliable. I got it home and it still had some air in the system, but after calling Ron, he said more air would work out of the system and he was correct. It works great now. Although I found Ron's on Craigslist, I would caution people finding services on there. I talked to others and it was clear to me they were not experienced. I have done many repairs myself but health no longer allows it. It is cheaper to pay for good repairs than to pay for screw ups. Drove 2 hrs to hoping to find a good, honest mechanic. Ron yelled and hung up on my wife on the phone and told us to take our car somewhere else. There are plenty of businesses that would love to get customers. For what? For free oil change on a $800 repair bill. Gina and Ron were both very professional and helpful. After having overpaid at a local automotive shop, I decided to shop around. I needed a full tune up and belt replacement. They got me in the next day. When Ron called with an analysis and estimate, he explained very thoroughly and clearly what the problems were and offered good advice. I don't feel at all that they tried to oversell me. My 2004 car is running great again and I was so happy with the service that I took our second car in for an oil change the next day. If you own an Audi , Porsche, BMW car then finding a mechanic you can trust becomes very important. I bought a Loaded Audi from Barrier Motors. I spent years taking it to mechanics in and around the east side for repairs and service. I don't remember a time when it the repairs were ever less then two grand. I was lucky that after years of being taken for ride by a repair shop in Redmond I found Ron's automotive. Gina offered to take me home after dropping off the car to their shop. It was a long drive for her. Ron fixed my car and informed me about what he fixed. He is an expert with Audi's and he fixed my vehicle in just a few days. The charges for the service was the least I had ever paid in all the years owning the car. I had taken the car in several times in over two years as now the Audi was close to ten years old and a lot can go wrong with it. He has always been able to arrange to find time to check out my car and repair it. He is the most honest and hard working car mechanic I have had the pleasure of meeting. I have called on him for advice for my Ford Fusion too. He took time to help me out with a lemon car that was not even in his shop for repairs. If you need to have a great mechanic work on your car, then this is the place to go. Ron spent years working with GM so his knowledge is vast when it comes to repairing their vehicles. I recommend his car repair shop to my friends as many of them have horror stories about other repair shops they have used in the past. read more
