It is worth a trip to Sudbury to visit the Sudbury Dental Smile Center. Staff is very professional and friendly. While they are very busy, they make time to hear the patient out. They also don't make the person feel ashamed if they have any specific conditions that should be accommodated during the visit. Dr. Dai is phenomenal. Very professional and gentle. Many dentists use a bit of strong language and even coercion to make a patient fear for their dental health. Dr. Dai is different - she explains everything, makes adjustments to the care plan, and makes you feel comfortable that you're taking care of yourself step by step. Sam is an excellent hygienist. Even for someone with high anxiety, he is comforting, gentle, and caring. I overheard another patient (who was visibly nervous coming in) say when they were exiting "That was actually almost relaxing." Dr. Du has been rated as one of the best dentists in Massachusetts and has very high expertise. I would go to her if I had a really complicated problem. The hygienists (Booma, Cleo, Cat, Sam) are all professional yet treat you as a friend. Dr Du is extremely knowledgeable about anything dental; the wall of diplomas should give you an idea of her background and practice. She's also very approachable and will gladly offer unbiased advice. Who would love their dentist? Even drive 1/2 hour? Dr Du has been my dentist for about seven years. I cannot believe that I am the first to write a review about her on Yelp. Okay, I could have done it earlier, but better late than never. Things to know: 1. She doesn't talk you into expensive procedures 2. Everything she put into my mouth standing strong (sounds kinky, doesn't it) 3. She helped me improve my gums so that they don't bleed any more 4. I don't have dental insurance so I ask about pricing first 5. Dr. Du without question is an exceptional dentist. Dr. Du is meticulous, knowledgeable and highly competent. Similarly the staff in her office including the hygienists, the dental assistants and even the office staff meet her high standards of excellence. Dr. Du does many procedures not offered in the typical dentist office. She also has the latest technology in her office. I needed a crown. The Dr. prepared my tooth and then using digital imaging, her input and a computer the information about my needed crown was fed into equipment in her office which then made my crown. A perfect crown was produced in about 90 minutes while I waited. She also offers laser treatments for the gums which I am scheduled for and Invisiline teeth straightening which I am also receiving.. The Dr. has an interesting technique of applying Novocain which makes it virtually painless. I asked her where she learned this and she told me it was taught to her many years ago by one of her mentors early in her career. In addition to her high level of competence the atmosphere in the office is welcoming, happy and actually fun. This atmosphere pervades the office. If you were feeling down when you went into the office you will feel uplifted when you leave. I can't say enough good things about her and her staff. If I could give her 10 stars I would.
