I had my teeth cleaned recently as I saw they had a $89 special ... The hygienist did a terrible job.. she completely rushed through the cleaning .. In doing so she missed a 5 mm pocket on one of my back teeth which is causing me problems. Moved into the area and needed a Dental office that could handle more than the everyday. I suffer from periodontal disease and need regular care for treatment. After seeing all the positive reviews and nothing negative posted on Yelp, Google, Better Business Bureau, etc. I decided to give Nobscott Dental a try. They have met and in many ways exceeded my expectations. Great first checkup and a cleaning with no pain. Easy to schedule, nice pleasant staff. Even the initial forms were OK and not to invasive about personal info! I never understand why offices do not have computer's fillin the forms with the info they know before you get there, or offer online form completion in advance!!! But was just fine! Scheduled next appointments and appreciated the followup and comments by Dr. Madani. So not a huge amount of care yet, but so far so perfect! read more

Well I'll say it. I hate the dentist. Like loathe going to the dentist. I recently went to a dentist for the first time in 10 years - (another dentist in Ashland) and It felt very impersonal and like I was just a commodity for them to make money off of. The were abrupt , rude, and made me feel like I was wasting their time. It left a bad taste in my mouth and I didn't want to go to another dentist again despite needing dental work. My husband found this place (he's got a phobia for dentists as well) and he said they were phenomenal. I figured I'll give it a shot. Wow. I actually enjoyed going to my appointment. I mean everyone was so warm and inviting , Dr Pappu was amazing and so down to earth. Everyone I came into contact with was so friendly and made me feel at ease. My dental hygienist ( I believe she said her name was Laurie) she was amazing. Just seemed like a genuinely sweet woman and was so personable. I left there beaming. The availability of this place is amazing as well. Everywhere else you call and they say maybe in a month we can fit you in. This place can fit you in that week maybe even the next day! They squeezed me in for a cleaning and fixed a cavity I had in my front tooth I had been self conscious about for the last few years. I came home and my husband was blown away with my smile. I can't stop smiling my face hurts. I'm actually excited to take care of my teeth and start my journey to the perfect smile. read more

This was the first time I had been to a dentist since I was little and my mom would take me. The front desk ladies immediately made me feel comfortable and explained all of the paperwork I needed to fill out. The dental assistant was super nice and explained everything he was doing before doing it. The dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth was absolutely amazing! She explained everything she did in detail which I appreciated because I'm the kind of person that like to know the why more than the how. She kept saying "girl, you are so good!" Which had me laughing the whole time. Dr. Madani was so friendly! I told him my sister just had a baby and he said "I'm going to call you aunty!" He made me feel very comfortable and let me know I what I needed to get fixed urgently and what I could benefit from but only if it's something I felt like I could afford. Such an amazing place. Shame on Dr. Madani! He engaged in truly unethical behavior with respect to his treatment of my 93 year old dad. Both dad and mom went to Dr. Madani for years. When my dad was dying from congenital health failure, his tooth hurt so he went to see Dr. Madani. At the time, it was obvious to any observer that my dad was seriously ill. Nonetheless, Dr. Madani ignored my dad's illness. He did not call any of my dad's doctors to check on his health before he performed work on my dad's teeth, thereby putting my dad in further danger! Moreover, knowing my dad's age, and his incapacitating condition, Madani built a bridge for my dad, performed some other procedure and cleaned his teeth. The bill was over $3,000! Three days after the procedure, my dad went into hospice and died shortly thereafter. I requested my dad's dental records and saw that no calls were made to his physicians. I asked all dad's physicians if Dr. Madani had ever called to question anyone about his heart condition and was told no, he never had. I called Madani's practice repeatedly attempting to speak with him. After several weeks, he finally took my call. First he said that my dad never told him that he had heart problems. I responded that my dad was 93 and could barely breath or walk when he arrived so it was obvious that he was extremely ill. Madani then lied and said he did call my dad's doctor. This claim was contradicted by my dad's doctor. And when I asked why he would perform very expensive dental work on an obviously dying man, Madani told me old people are entitled to dental service. Of course old people are entitled to dental services, but doing extensive and expensive dental work on an obviously dying man is just plain greed. When my mother, who is also in her 90s, got the credit card bill, she was shocked. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Madani for about 10 years. My Uncle was my dentist for many years & I take my dental care very seriously so this is an important & valued relationship to me. I have been MORE than pleased with the care I've received: the office staff & the dental technicians are friendly, professional and responsive; Dr. Madani himself is absolutely wonderful and even when I've questioned his advice, he gladly referred me for a 2nd opinion & he has been absolutely right about both the problems and the solutions. He is ALWAYS friendly, personable, and remembers small details about my life that amaze me (his memory and attention to detail are frankly astounding, given the size of his practice & number of patients he sees!). It is easy to schedule with his office, his hours are convenient, and his rates are reasonable for the market (and he/his office are always willing to work with my often-complicated, somewhat unique dental insurance and help me come up with a plan that is considerate of my finances). I've had several crowns created & placed, fillings performed, and routine cleanings and exams. I'm kind of an anxious patient, and everyone has always been very considerate of that (at least one appointment called for some literal hand-holding..the staff working with the Dr. kindly held my hand while I whimpered, and had the grace, compassion & manners to do it without making me feel silly, lol). Unlike the other 2 reviews. my opinion of Dr. Madani is quite different. I went to him because he was part of a dental PPO and I needed a bridge replaced. The first red flag was when he demanded full payment up front before any work was done. The second red flag was because the foundation work he did prior to getting the bridge put in was so bad that it took 4 attempts and 4 different bridges and it still didn't fit. I left him and went to 2 other dentists who refused to finish up the work because his work was so bad that they knew it would be impossible to fix without doing major improvement to the work Dr. Madani did. I eventually found a dentist who would do the work and It cost me thousands of dollars to replace the damage and have another bridge done. Dr. Madani also treats 4 patients at one time thus leaving me sitting in a chair in one of his rooms sometimes for as long as 30 minutes until he gets back to continue his work on me. read more
