I came here on Saturday for an early dinner with my family and had an okay experience. Ronis is located in a strip mall and the interior was nicer than you'd expect from the exterior. The inside is decorated with modern paintings. The tables looked nice with what seemed like white table cloths that were actually white parchment paper over a black table cloth. They also had fresh flowers on the table which were nice. Our waiter was okay. We used the groupon- the meal for two and got an additional entree since we had three people. When we asked about the groupon and possibly using 2 groupons (you can't, which was fine), our waiter got a little less friendly but still answered our questions. The groupon included wine. There were three of us and I was the youngest person in the group. He didn't ask for us or me for an ID but stood there, and after a minute, he said he wasn't leaving before he checked my ID. It was a bit strange he didn't initially asked, I would've just taken my ID out right away. As for our food, the meal for two included a salad, garlic bread, two entrees of spaghetti and meatballs- but we got 1 lasagna instead, and an order of cannolis. We also got a shrimp capri. The salad and garlic bread were fine. The pastas looked okay but once we started digging in, it was apparent the pasta was overcooked, or at least very soggy and had a lot of water in it. We could tell from looking at it but you can also taste it. We told our waiter and he said it was because they make the fresh pasta in house and they cooked it before serving. I have had fresh pasta many times before and it wasn't just because it was fresh, it was overcooked. The flavor was okay. The best thing we had was the garlic bread. Having grown up on the east coast and enjoyed Saturday nights in New Haven at their park concerts, we were sooo looking forward to coming here. But it was a bust. We didn't finish any of our food. It was either, over cooked, burnt, or just uneatable. My pasta sauce must have been reheated several times. Because it was no longer any shade of red, but black. We were very happy with a delicious and well presented meal! The service/server (Jessica) was top notch - greatly anticipated our wants and/or needs. The food - from the (Thursday night special) prime rib, to my filet mignon pasta, were so delicious and surprisingly plentiful. We were last here when it was known as "Chef's Grille", now known as Roni's, and glad for our revisit- we will definitely be coming back! This restaurant is honestly under rated. I had an amazing time here and the head chef came out to ensure that. Little did he know, we were a bit disgruntled after driving 2 hours and waiting almost another 2 across the street for some BBQ food - but little did WE know that we were in for a treat. By design if you ask me. We had the bone marrow, roasted garlic, Caesar wedge, elk fettuccine, lamb pop's with mint jelly and the beignets. Mother's Day 2025: My awesome & loving family treated me to a delicious lunch. Reservations are a must! We used to frequently eat here when it was formerly known as the Chef's Grille. It has a warm, inviting, and rustic decor. It does well as an upscale Italian eatery offering culinary delights. The food was incredible! I ordered the gluten free chicken pesto dish, which I would order again. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive to our needs. My family agreed the food was excellent & a return would be in order. We just found this amazing restaurant. The food was to die for. This is some of the best Italian food I've had in the USA. The portions are very generous. The ambiance is wonderful. We stopped by for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The reviews looked good so I was excited to try it. It was a quaint little place and not busy at all. We were seated right away by a friendly waiter. We ordered the garlic bread which came out hot and delicious. Great start! I ordered a shrimp pasta and hubby ordered a steak pasta. Both were good but nothing super memorable. This was our first visit tonight. This is like a little secret type place we have passed by a few times a day. They had a lot of items on the menu to choose from. We started off with a beer and an old fashion. We chose the meatballs for an appetizer and they were so good! They were two nice sized meatballs served with a yummy bread. We then chose our entree and we both chose the ribeye steak and missed out on the prime rib which is only served on Thursdays. I ordered my med well and it was perfect! The butter on the steak was a blue cheese with mushroom butter. Our meals were served with asparagus and garlic mashed. The whole meal was perfect and we each brought half of our meals home as they were generous servings. All of the food was fresh, hot and cooked perfectly. Our waitress was Jessica who was so helpful with suggestions and gave excellent service. Tonight was open mic night which we were not able to stay for but it looked like fun. My family and I went there yesterday. We didn't have a good experience service was bad. We had reservations they sat us in the back. And it took 20 minute for a server to even acknowledge us. There was only 2 servers the male server kept checking on the 2 tables next to us and never even acknowledged us. Until the female server asked us any one had been by I said no. She came took our order. The only thing that was good that we got our food about 7 min after we put our order in. The food was ok but not for the price tag. My husband order chicken Parmesan with no flavor at all. My son got the chicken Alfredo which it was ok not the best. The only item we all liked was the Tortellini rose. First time here as we moved up to Murrieta about a year ago. Atmosphere great to start! Our food server was Jessica and she was AMAZING! Friendly and informative and just great service and she never let our drinks be empty before offered refills. The food was great, my wife had the Seabass and I had the Chicken Marsala (which is my favorite and this didn't disappoint). Their focaccia bread is some of the best pre-meal Italian breads I've had and ours meals and desserts were all great. Chef Martin Corso has raised the culinary bar with this wonderful restaurant! Authentic Italian entrees and desserts are one of a kind. Went with a party of 5 total and we each had a different dish. We started with the garlic bread and it was amazing! Our server Greg was knowledgeable, helpful and a great personality. The homemade pasta really brought the dishes up to another level. I usually only have cannoli for dessert but we tried the limoncello cheesecake on recommendation from Greg and it was heavenly, very light and great limoncello flavor. A gentleman sitting behind us, whom we didn't even know, surprised us by paying for our dinner. It completely caught me off guard and left us both touched. The problem at Roni's West doesn't just come from the staff--it starts at the top. The owner sets the tone here, and it shows in how poorly customers are treated. If management cared about hospitality, the staff wouldn't act like serving people is beneath them. When we tried to get a simple correction on an order, instead of fixing the mistake, the response was rude and dismissive--as if the customer is always wrong. That kind of attitude doesn't happen by accident, it's a reflection of the owner's priorities: profit over people, arrogance over service. Plenty of restaurants manage to serve good food and treat people with respect. Unfortunately, at Roni's West, the owner seems more interested in pushing customers out the door than building loyalty. Until the leadership changes, this place will keep mistreating guests--and losing them. read more

We tried out Ronis tonight for the first time and not only was the food really good and fresh but they were also so kind and accommodating for us since we brought our pup. They put us on the patio and brought him out a big bowl of water without us asking. The manager also came out and kept trying to make friends with our boy.
