I just looked at the website, on 2/27/20 and there's a message that says that Dr. Moon's license has been revoked! Can't go there, then.

LOL Dr. Varley and all his staff are compassionate and very easy to talk too. Either Online, Portal Use or Calling in making appointments, paying bills, Etc., is very easy. Southern Pain Management offers all the traditional pain/nerve blocks, Radio Frequency Ablasions, Etc; Several new innovative procedures including Ketamine infusion treatments at affordable cost to patients. The science of Ketamine Infusion makes too much sense for insurance companies to my help pay for such a thing. They would much rather pay for pain medicine. To my knowledge insurance pays ZERO MONEY for Ketamine Infusion Treatments. Hunter Chatham, CRNA manages all IV Theropy, he too is excellent, professional and compassionate. You can't go wrong coming to Southern Pain Specialist

He was the only doctor in the Birmingham area who was willing to refill my implanted pain pump. Before finding him, I had to drive to Slidell, LA every month to have it filled. He and his staff work together as a team. It is comforting to see teamwork in one's medical care. They are also very good at what they do, and each one plays a part in your care. I have suffered from hip and thigh pain since I had a defective hip replaced with a non-defective one. I thought that the pain was caused by all the surgery. Thank goodness Dr. Varley had other impressions. He discovered that the pain was emanating from my spine and that Radio Frequency Ablation (RFA) was the solution. I had been having it performed on the other side of my spine for several years, with good results. Walking without pain is truly amazing, after suffering with it for so many years. I highly recommend Southern Pain Specialists for anyone with back/spine problems.

I have been a pain patient now for several years, and I am very satisfied with my level of care…read more Dr. Irons is very caring and compassionate. My nurse I see at my appointments is very good at getting things done, be it prior auths or procedures setup. I would definitely recommend Alabama Pain, I have been a patient of other "pain clinics" but none have given me the quality of care I get here. Dr. Irons not only is my pain doctor, but also can do the procedures I need. I also see Dr. Pisaturo aka Dr. Perfect, he is an awesome doctor, he knows nerves better than anyone I've ever met. He too can take care of you in the office and in the procedure room. He is funny, smart, & very meticulous. Overall I would highly recommend Alabama Pain Physicians for anyone needing a caring doctor and dealing with pain. Have there been bumps in the road, yes. Prior auths can be a pain to get done, but insurance companies can also slow that process down. Be patient, but also be assertive, Alabama Pain has a patient portal, so making calls for something can easily be done on there too. Thank you Dr. Irons and Dr. Pisaturo for everything you and your staff do on behalf of your patients.

He has a rheumatoid arthritis really bad and they said they seen a new medicine to the drugstore. The drugstore says is on backorder. He's called. Try to get another prescription and they will not call him and nothing for pain. They're gonna make him wait 30 days come back and see them so I give them on a scale of one to four 00.

She was always kind, respectful, and welcoming -- she knew patients by name and made every visit easier. I really hated to see her go, and honestly the service hasn't felt the same since. But today I met Brittany, and she has by far been the best part of my experience in a long time. I'm not sure if she's a nurse or what her exact role is, but she came into the room with genuine concern and compassion. She actually seemed like she cared about me as a patient -- and that makes a huge difference. Some people come to work just for a check, but Brittany showed real care, patience, and empathy. Thank you, Brittany. You truly made my day, and I just wanted to shout you out for treating people the way they deserve to be treated.
