She is knowledgeable, professional, and someone I have felt confident following medically. However, over the last couple of years, my annual appointments have consistently been with a physician assistant rather than with Dr. Leong. Unfortunately, my experiences with this provider have been disappointing. I have felt talked over during visits, not fully listened to, and at times treated as though my concerns were an inconvenience. I raised these concerns previously and was told I would not have to see this provider again, yet at my most recent visit I was scheduled with her again. The most concerning experience occurred when I became extremely ill. My wife called the office to request medication for nausea and was told that if we did not hear back, we should check the pharmacy. There was no follow-up call and no prescription sent. For a patient of more than two decades, that lack of communication and care felt dismissive and unacceptable. I still have respect for Dr. Leong, but the overall patient experience has declined. Long-term patients deserve to feel heard, respected, and cared for -- especially when acutely ill. I hope the practice and anyone thinking of joining takes this feedback seriously.

Dr Devani listened attentively to every health history detail, thoughtfully asked good questions, did some research on the spot, and he just genuinely cared about about my mental and physical well-being! He is an excellent doctor…read more He usually has a doctor in training with him and let's them check us first and then he comes in. We never have to wait more than 30 minutes. If we need him between our regular checks, he always works us in that day or the next day. Our previous doctor retired, Dr. Stanley Kahn, who was also a great, thorough doctor. We think we have one of the best Internal Medicine doctors anywhere and are very happy with Dr. Wynne.

However, the billing was a complete disaster…read more Long story really short, Dr Blacks office billed me for procedures that were offered, yet not told they were going to be billed in addition to my copay. After several letters a resolution was not completed. This was a hearing test that was not needed yet it was put to me as , "Hey why don't we check your hearing while we are hear". $84 dollars later I see why it was volunteered. I refused to pay the additional amount. They sent me to collections. The case is on file with the BBB. (Case 85078823) The office responded once but never submitted a final response....They had no leg to stand on...Guilty as charged. I would find a different ENT for sure..

My experience in the care of this practice was bizarre to say the least. Upon my first visit the…read morenurse who initially saw me suggested that the COVID vaccine causes or increases neurological issues, and that it was a bad idea for I, an immunocompromised individual, to get another booster. I was told this was apparently standard recommendation here. My mother was with me and we gave each other a "what the hell did we just hear?" look. It goes to reason that every other doctor recommends vaccination, especially for COVID, as COVID is aggressive and the long-term complications of it can be disabling, especially for those like me and other individuals with chronic neurological issues. When I'd reported this to my rheumatologist, she was startled, saying she'd recommended Counce for years, but with that revelation she completely stopped referrals to her. Dr. Counce herself seemed to be very detached and did not focus much time on me at all. I kind of felt like my symptoms were being ignored. She didn't seem to hold much emotion or care. When I moved to UAB Neurology for a second opinion on my spine MRIs, they poured over everything they could to try and find an answer for me, and despite coming up dry as well, I at least feel like they gave it a better shot in that one session as opposed to the multiple I saw Counce. In her defense at least, she did run tests on me and did not simply brush my case off right away like some doctors have. But after they found nothing from there, they weren't willing to dig deeper than those basic tests. At the time my condition had been presenting almost like a neurodegenerative disease or like a more subtle case of MS, so this was naturally crushing. I wish they had done more for me. I also cannot trust a doctor whose nurses actively recommend AGAINST a vaccine for an illness that kills and disables aggressively, especially when a lot of their patients would be highly vulnerable to that illness! It's a HUGE red flag to dissuade from the COVID vaccine, DOUBLY SO when it's coming from medical professionals.

This is a busy garage that I am very used to (just drive to the 6th or 7th floor and you're almost always guaranteed to have a spot without struggle). Take the elevator to the 2nd floor, use the crosswalk in the garage that connects Kirklin and Whitaker Clinic, pre pay for your ticket once leaving at a kiosk or pay the attendant (prepay is typically faster to get out). I'm so thankful this clinic (for my floor) has a 30 minute grace period because a 30 minute commute took an hour and 15 minutes the day of my appointment. It pays to normally plan to arrive to my appointments 30 minutes early so I had 15 minutes of a grace period left. Staff is efficient, they got me in and out much faster than my initial appointment, all questions were answered, we agreed on how to move forward and I was sent on my way. Very satisfied with my choice to use this facility.

We ride through the parking garage looking for an available space when some drivers take up more than one space, it seems on purpose. We pay for this aggravation just to walk long distances to get to your clinic. Boom, you're blood pressure is elevated!. Fix the parking or don't charge the patients!
