I have been a patient at this practice for over 20 years, and I have always trusted and respected Dr. Leong. She is knowledgeable, professional, and someone I have felt confident following medically. However, over the last couple of years, my annual appointments have consistently been with a physician assistant rather than with Dr. Leong. Unfortunately, my experiences with this provider have been disappointing. I have felt talked over during visits, not fully listened to, and at times treated as though my concerns were an inconvenience. I raised these concerns previously and was told I would not have to see this provider again, yet at my most recent visit I was scheduled with her again. The most concerning experience occurred when I became extremely ill. My wife called the office to request medication for nausea and was told that if we did not hear back, we should check the pharmacy. There was no follow-up call and no prescription sent. For a patient of more than two decades, that lack of communication and care felt dismissive and unacceptable. I still have respect for Dr. Leong, but the overall patient experience has declined. Long-term patients deserve to feel heard, respected, and cared for -- especially when acutely ill. I hope the practice and anyone thinking of joining takes this feedback seriously. read more

Dr. Swetz is an oustanding Internist and my wife and I can't be happier we have him after Dr. Vickie Moore retired. I saw him yesterday and he takes the time to cover why you are there, explains the treatments, and then the new medication he prescribe. I was in to see him early and had labs after and all was timely and very efficient. The Complete Health portal is one of the best of any we use. read more

I think most people dread going to the doctor, Especially if they have physician they are not excited about. That's exactly where I'm at. I'm trying a new doctor. Dr. Neil Meadows is excellent. This 119 facility is now Complete Health by UAB. This facility is really loaded. It's a smaller version of Kirkland Clinic and it appears they do it all. They takes forever (20+ minutes) to make an appointment! So now they have an AI assistant to make appointments, took 2 phone calls and 20+ minutes to make an appointment because AI couldn't recognize my voice!!!!! You should at least be able to press 1 for yes and 2 for no or something. I need to find a new doctor; this is beyond pathetic! read more

Started seeing Dr. Carroll 2 years ago, and he has been excellent in all avenues. He reviewed medical history, and he recommended a complete physical exam. Not being the ideal patient, I would postpone and he and my wife would reschedule. When I finally had my physical, I was late for an appt and skipped a test. After some time, Dr Carroll won and I took the stress test. In a few hours, he called to say I needed to see another surgeon that day. By the end of the week, I'd had two procedures completed and returned later that Month for another. Birmingham Internal Medicine And Dr. Carroll were patient with an impatient man and I feel better than I have in years and am grateful for their skills, expertise, and dedication to their patients. read more

Been seeing Dr Meadows for several years.He has been a great Dr. His staff is what needs work. I was in to see the Dr less than 30 days ago for an infection on my knee. I saw the Dr and as always he asked if any of my meds needed refills and he would fill them. I stated that my BP med was close and he told me just to send in request when it was closer. I did and his nurse, Sh'keyria will only give me 30 days stating I need to see the Dr. I explained that its been less than 30 days and she said she knew and because it was a sick visit she would not be doing that. I just paid for a visit and all vitals were checked. Are they going to change in 3 weeks? They are just scamming the insurance co for more money. Ill find someone else. read more

I Love,Love my doctor,Dr Jason Smith. I have been with this practice from when it was in building 2, at St. Vincents. My doctor is understanding and compassionate to me always. He listens to your concerns and then gives his opinions. I am so lucky to have found this practice years ago. My only concern is when you have to call instead of use the portal. The wait is quite long, so using the portal is the way to write to your doctor and he replies, quickly. Don't hesitate to call and set up an appointment , if you are looking for a caring set of doctors. I would say they are top notch!! read more

One o;f the best medical practices I have ever used. From the speed of getting into the doctor to their follow up and to the care given by the staff and doctors. They put you first! If you are looking for a full medical practice, I urge you to make an appointment and you will actually be glad you made a doctors appointment. I first went to this practice on recommendation from my supervisor. I was a patient over at Brookwood but working on 280 made it really difficult to get over there from work. This practice is located in St. Vincent's 119 and very easy for me to access. The doctors and most of the nurses have been really great and have always gotten me in really quickly. I've recently started their BIMAfit program and feel great already! I also love that you can do almost anything through there online portal from making appointments to viewing your chart. The only negative thing I have to say is that the receptionist can sometimes come off as a bit rude. Overall, I would recommend this practice to anyone looking for a doctor's office on 280. read more

Terrible fit's impression! Nothing against the doctors. A major issue with scheduling. First time patient. Appointment was at 2:30. Arrived early (2:15) to cover any necessary paperwork at check in. Wasn't called back to a room until 3:45. Sat in a room until 4:18. Never saw the doctor because I had to leave to get my kids. Asked to be deleted from system and a refund of co-pay. Which they did. Spoke with someone in the elevator where I asked if this was normal and it was mentioned that there is often an issue with double booking. I hate it because I was referred by a friend who speaks very highly of the doctor. read more
