The customer service was 1000/10 for me! In a time of complete distress with my migraine of a car (do not ever get a VW but if you do, get it serviced here because they're the best and your car will live in the shop instead of at your residence so you want it somewhere reliable). Bryan and their techs were absolutely phenomenal. Excellent communication and they were SO honest!! I'll spare the boring details but what I thought was going to be an expensive fix needing a new shifter, turned out VW was just trying to scam me out of money due to their negligence. It was a very simple fix where VW failed to install some wires correctly which caused my brand new transmission to fail randomly. I'm beyond grateful for Ron Jon's Automotive! I set an appointment to deliver my truck for service for brakes 48 hours in advance They n 7/5/2925. I delivered my truck for service on July 7th for the service early. I had to Uber my way home and wait all day just to Uber back at the end of the business day to pick up my vehicle that went untouched. All I received was I'm sorry we didn't realize that we had that much work on the books. Crappy customer service and I don't accept a simple sorry as an excuse as an excuse. No communication was had for the 7 hours that they had my vehicle. Mavis was close, Meineke was next door. I was choose either until I was recommended to this business. I left the most brutal review in Jan because I was in my feelings and frustrated with myself by not communicating with the shop about what was going on. I said I wasn't going to come back. However my coworker encouraged me to speak my mind and see what would happen. I never thought in a million years, they would help me even after I left a bad review. Last year my cooling housing unit had a massive hole and because it was cold I didn't notice there was an issue with my A/C. Lately, I've been attending sauna parties in my car after work because the a/c stopped working. You see I never noticed the a/c issue because I prefer outside air over a/c any day of the week. Florida air is much cleaner than California. Who doesn't love a cool 76 degree weather. I know I do. I am thankful and grateful for the help. I give this place a two star review only because the people here are nice. They aren't rude at all. They may be knowledgeable in many aspects, but just not with my vehicle. I honestly feel that they dropped the ball with me and left me with an inoperable vehicle that, I didn't even bother to take back for a fourth time after my last attempt at getting my issues resolved. I believe it was sheer negligence and oversight. I do believe that I was jipped out of $800 for parts and labor and a diagnostic that's still inconclusive at this point. My vehicle stayed at this shop for almost 3 months, only to get it back doing the same thing that I took it to them to have diagnosed and fixed. I decided to buy a new car and sale my truck. I can say that several attempts were made to try and track down the issue, which is why it stayed at the shop for so long. I was asked if they drove it prior to pick they said yes, but every time I got my vehicle it shut of on the road just down the street from the shop. I'm not sold on the work from here but if you value good conversation and confident service check them out. I'm sure they didn't get almost 5 stars for no reason they just didn't work out for me. Just so it's clear my truck started stalling and smelling like fuel. I said I believe the fuel pump is bad. I do have a reserve tank that I used and it started acting strange as well. That tank has a new fuel pump in it. Same issue different tank. That's the problem I needed diagnosed. On the way to repair I noticed fuel leaking from the passenger side front wheel area I made that clear as well. I also told them that some fuel lines or vacuum lines from that are look dry rotted. Ron Jons put in several electrical components and also changed the driver side fuel filter that has never leaked and had been recently replaced along with the electrical components from another shop prior to the visit. I have receipts and have been saving them for years just to keep up with my repairs. That's were the $800 went. For 3 months I rented cars weekly and drove my company vehicle for about two weeks. More money lost. End of story I got my truck back barely made it home the same issue showed up and fuel is leaking from the rear of my truck onto my exhaust. It's been in the driveway since. Now I'm 27k in the hole for a new car. Thanks anyway guys. No hard feelings. read more

I have been using this shop for almost 10 years. Since the new management took over a couple years ago I noticed there has been a huge improvement in shop cleanliness and communication from the front office. The shop and waiting room are now very modern and the rest room is always clean. All the employees I've talked to are more friendly, too. They seem happy to be working there. One thing I really like is I receive updates of the diagnosis and repairs with photos. Obviously I don't love paying for car maintenance and repairs, but the charges always seem fair for the services provided - I never feel like I am being taken advantage of due to my gender. If you're not that good with cars, I recommend staying away from this place. They're trying to charge me $7000 to engine, swap a motor. It will take them no more than four hours to swap an easy motor especially if he's mechanics have experience. 7 hours $900-1100. Charging someone $7,000 to change a motor should be punishable and have their business license taken away. read more

The local Ford dealer told me that the cooling system on my Ford F-150 needed repairs and a flush was required. Ron John's ran a pressure test and determined that repairs were not needed. A flush was done. The work was done quickly, and at a cost significantly lower than the dealer estimate. read more

When we bought a used 2000 Ford F-350 Diesel in December 2010, my Honda car mechanic recommended this shop for any diesel needs. The car mechanic was concerned about the level of fluid in the engine that appeared to be leaking. I drove on over to Ron Jon's, and they were too busy to take the truck in that day. The owner came out to the parking lot and took a look under the hood. He asked several questions about my concerns and assured me that the fluid around the engine was normal for a diesel truck. He didn't charge me anything & he gave me several tips about checking the oil level frequently and never towing in overdrive. I had not had an opportunity to go back to Ron Jons, but I had an excellent first impression that the owner really cared to make sure we took good care of the truck. Our Ford F-350 is used to pull a 40' fifth wheel trailer, and after a tow from Kissimmee to TItusville on a hot day, the truck appeared to be spitting a good deal of transmission fluid out. It was too late to bring it anywhere that night, so we parked it on the driveway with a pan underneath. The pan was relatively dry in the AM, & the transmission fluid dipstick indicated the transmission was still full of fluid. Not wanting to take any chances, we brought the truck to a local transmission shop in Titusville for inspection. We were called & told that the transmission was either (1) leaking from the front seal of the transmission or (2) leaking from the front pump of the transmission. Simply to diagnose the problem, this local shop wanted to charge us $540 to pull the transmission out of the truck, which would then be applied to the $1,000 if the seal needed replacing or $1,200-1,500 if the front pump needed replacing. We opted to take the truck elsewhere for a second opinion, and when we picked up the keys, we were warned that continuing to drive the truck with a leaking transmission could further damage the transmission making repair even more $$. I called Russell at Ron Jon's even though their shop is over 30 miles away in Orlando. Russell said that in all the years they have worked on diesel trucks, they have NEVER seen a front seal leak or a front pump leak. Hmmm He did say it "could" happen, but it would be VERY RARE. We drove the truck to Orlando, and they spent THREE HOURS inspecting the truck, including putting dye in the transmission fluid, and guess what - the transmission is NOT EVEN LEAKING. John, Ron Jon's owner, said it appeared that the Ford dealer we bought the truck from a few months ago overfilled the transmission fluid. When that happens, and the transmission gets hot, the transmission will "belch" out the extra transmission fluid. He is very confident this is what happened in our case after having towed the fifth wheel on a hot day. Guess what else - after 3 hours of investigation, Ron Jon's charged us - drum roll please - NOTHING... Not one red cent! They have earned a customer for life, and I would encourage anyone taking their vehicle to the local transmission shop in Titusville to get a second opinion before spending the $1,000+ is seems they tell all customers their repairs will cost (as I heard the people ahead of me being told when I picked up the keys). After seven years in Orlando bouncing around to different auto shops, I've finally found one I'll go back to! I dropped off my car for an oil change and inspection using the coupon on their website. There were a few weird things going on with my car that I wanted them to check out. Later, they called me with an estimate and only addressed the issues I'd asked them to resolve. I didn't feel like they were trying to upsell or scare me into getting more work done on the car. It was refreshing to feel like I was talking to an honest and trustworthy mechanic. I've been meaning to write this for some time, but well, you know... Anyway, we were referred to Ron Jon's after our old mechanic John Downing of Downing Automotive retired. Ron Jon's is indeed an honest shop. On my last visit I had them investigate a noise in the front end, perform 90,000 mile maintenance, check a leaking radiator and thought the brakes might be ready for replacement. In short, I was expecting $600 - $1000 repair. Instead the only thing they found to replace was the radiator for $240. This level of honesty is refreshing, appreciated and quite frankly, surprising. It would have been very easy to say yes the brakes need to be replaced, this needs to be fixed, etc and pad their bill, but they didn't do that. Sometime after my visit I decided to rotate my tires and while doing that one of the front end passenger lug nuts was cross threaded and it broke off as I was trying to get it off. Since the last time the wheel was off was at Ron Jon's I went back to them and they replaced the lug nut shaft at no cost. So if you're in need of an honest shop, I highly recommend this one. read more

This is a great local garage for getting basic maintenance performed on your vehicle. I suspect they would also do a great job on repair work as well, although I have not tried them for this yet. I have taken my 4Runner as well as my wife's new Subaru Outback here for oil changes, tire rotation and 50,000 mile scheduled maintenance with great results. I really like that they offer Amsoil products for small up charge. They can be pretty busy some days so it is best to make an appointment if possible. They will definitely accommodate you as a walk in but your wait may be a little longer. There are several decent breakfast and or lunch spots within easy walking distance so if your work takes longer you can pop out for a quick bite if necessary. Overall, great service and fair prices, highly recommended. read more

Had work done on my car at Ron Jon's where they replaced my battery about a year and a half ago. My car would not start last week and I suspected the battery. Had it towed to Ron Jon's and talked with service manager Tim and explained that they replaced the battery a year and a half ago with a 60 month battery. He said he would check it out and let me know. Tim called me back in about 2 hours and said the battery was bad. Ron Jon's replaced it and Tim said that their would be no charge. I think their prices may be slightly higher than some other competitors, but even if that's the case I'll pay a few extra dollars in exchange for honesty and quality work! Recently, when I picked my vehicle up from getting some repairs, I noticed that there were a few little parts that had been unintentionally damaged while my vehicle was in the shop, which I didn't notice until a few days after I had it home. My car was overheating and we really couldn't figure out why. I brought it to Ron Jon's and am so glad I did! They kept my vehicle for 2 days to make sure they could find the problem. They could not figure out what was going on because my car decided not to overheat while it was in their care, but they didn't even charge me for keeping my car for the 2 days! They took their time out to drive it around and inspect it for no charge? So awesome of them! You just don't hear about auto businesses like that nowadays. This place is amazing! I have taken my car there twice and they were very honest with me both times. The most recent time I took my car because I suspected I needed new rear wheel bearings. I took it in on a Thursday evening. They called me by 10 a.m. the next day and they told me that they thought it was because I needed two new tires. They weren't pushy about me getting the tires from their shop but thought that may be the issue; they were right. This saved me so much money, I couldn't be happier with this shop. These guys are awesome! If I would have gone to the dealership, they would have taken me to the cleaners. I have an older vehicle (2001 with 184K miles) and the check engine light came on in addition to an exhaust issue that I thought was related. Turned out, they weren't related and they made me aware of what the options were and were very clear that given the age and value of the vehicle and the fact that it seems to run pretty good, I should just keep driving it until there's a problem instead of starting the process of replacing parts. Just completed getting my car service at Ron Jon's auto. I had a humming sound coming from my car as I would drive down the road. I had taken my car to another shop and was told it was a wheel bearing going out. They said if it was one then I needed to replace them all, along with new tires and struts/shocks. The cost quoted was $3,400. I decided to get one more quote and that is how I ended up at Ron Jon's. After checking my car out, they recommended just new tires to see if that fixed the noise problem. It did, but they also inspected the struts/shocks & brakes, which they said were fine at this point. I can get another 10k miles or so. They did do an alignment on my car as well for a total cost of $700, saving me $2,400! I can't say enough about the honesty and true professionalism of this shop. Highly recommend them! read more
