San Antonio Location... Showed up asking to come in to do pest control. I stated I have no need inside but its needed outside however I am not familiar with you or your company. He said they have been coming here rendering services on behalf of the owner. I stated I've lived here a year and no one has been here since my first month. Romney Pest Control has been charging the owners of my house for services not provided. I contacted the owner immediately and advised they were here and had not been here since I first moved in if this is the same company. When confronted today they swear they have been here, until I said "well I work from home, my back yard is gated, and I have not had to open the gate for any pest control services." The guy said you must have left your gate open then. I stated no one from your company has been here this year, he first said different people come and then he switched and said he personally came out. So I said, well how did you personally get into my gate.. He said.. I don't remember. I stated no you have not been here he said they have trackers that prove they were here. I said "prove services rendered that you charged for. You can't even tell me how you got into my gate." He said I'm not gonna argue and left. I took a photo, contacted the company and the company was just was rude in the exchange when I asked for them to tell me the last time they serviced this address. Company says they come every six months but have no way to prove any services other then they have trackers on the vehicles. You can ride anywhere and never do the work... I even said to the guy, what you're doing today was not done and is not as thorough as the one time a pest control company was here. The company said that because they have a different name as the tenant at this residence that's the issue with me not knowing when they came out. WTF!!. I live here not matter whose name you have and you did not do any work here this year at all!!! read more

We are transplanted northerners who moved to Texas in 2011. Within a couple of months of moving to Texas, we sought help from Romney to get rid of pests we were not familiar with and some we were. Almost five years later we are still using Romney on a regular basis to get rid of pests we have and to deter pests that we otherwise might have. After being visited by a handful of technicians, Jesse serviced our property and we were very impressed with his expertise and good nature. Jesse is very thorough every time he services our property. He seeks pests and pest havens based on his expertise and ensures that the pests are eradicated or deterred from appearing. We have been so pleased with Jesse's service and expertise that we have requested that he service our property exclusively. Romney's office staff is also very friendly and helpful. We receive a notice letting us know when our next regular treatment is scheduled. If the scheduled time is not convenient for us, they are happy to work with us to schedule a mutually convenient time. read more

I have had Romney for the past 6 years doing the outside of my home and am very satisfied. Unfortunately due to our past two winters being so mild we had developed a flea issue. I could not get rid of them on my dog or cat which are both house pets. I called Romney and they came out to treat the inside of my home. It was very fast and Scott the technician was so helpful with my many questions. He even recommended a shampoo to use for my pets. After he left I immediately went and bought the shampoo and bathed my pets. My dog has not scratched one time since the treatment and bath. I wish I had called earlier it feels so good to watch my dog rest instead of trying to attack himself due to the fleas. I am so impressed with the service I had today. Scotts opening statement to me when he came to the door was "I will treat your home like it was my own" and he did. I would recommend Romney to everyone. They do great work and have great employees. We have used Romney Pest Control for several years now and have always been pleased with their service. Today is a good example. Although it was not our scheduled treatment time, we discovered (what we now know from the knowledgeable, Casey) acrobat ants cartwheeling their way through our ceiling. He fixed the problem by treating both on the inside and then the outside. Just before he was about to leave, my husband drove into the driveway and had his truck stall. The kindly Casey pushed the truck out of the driveway and onto the side of the road, delaying his very tight schedule. Not only did he go beyond the call of duty, but he was so very nice about it all. This company is family owned and it shows. We have had several instances over the years where the service personnel went beyond the call of duty. read more

I just want to give a compliment to the gentleman, Tiago, that came to do the pest control at my home. He maintained a safe distance when he explained that the company is treating the outside of homes (unless I request inside work), but will come back to do the inside, if needed, when things are deemed safe (COVID-19). I wasn't sure how the appointment was going to go, but he did a wonderful job keeping both my home and himself safe. Tiago also uncovered a termite infestation. He was not pushy at all regarding setting up an inspection, but did set up an appointment while I was standing there. Turns out we have an infestation and that could have potentially caused a lot more damage down the road. Side note, I appreciate that he was concerned for my pets getting out of the backyard. :) read more

We are experiencing a horrible problem with wasps this year. The very hot and dry conditions are attracting them to our pool more than ever! They have taken up residence in the eves all around our roof line and are enjoying afternoons on the pool's surface. Ron took the time to walk the perimeter of the house and listen to all of our concerns. He was extremely professional and thorough. He sincerely cared about the problems we were having and assured us he was going to do everything he could to fix the problem. He took his time and did an excellent job! We've been using Romney for 3 years now and we're very happy with them. They come out quarterly to treat the inside and outside of our home. They've also been prompt about coming out to retreat any areas and answer my concerns. Their staff is knowledgeable and friendly, especially JESSIE RABAGO. Jessie is kind, professional, respectful, and just awesome! I love it when he's assigned to come out. Jesse ID'd the bug we were most worried about in secconds, something neither Terminex, nor my buddy studying bugs could do. He also inspected our house for more dangerous bugs and explained what he was looking for. He dealt with my questions easily and addressed all of my concerns. He was also respectful of our house, putting on shoe covers at entry. He expertly applied several layers of chemicals depending on the situation (inside, outside, garden, shed, backyard) and even addressed my extra concerns about the shed in the back. Romney is a good business and the technician that came to my home on 8/20/2022 was awesome. Ms. Price was proficient at her job, and if it wasn't for her coming to my home early, I wouldn't have known that my AC Unit was going out and that my ceiling was leaking water. I probably would have not gotten my AC fixed until later on that day instead of 2 hours later. So she not saved my home from the wasps trying to build a nest in the frame of my backdoor; she saved us from the blistering heat. Y'all are lucky to have her. Corey was very thorough and efficient, checking everything on our property. He really went above and beyond even though it was extremely hot outside. He asked us if we needed anything else done, we asked at the last minute for him to spray one room inside because my husband had an encounter with a LARGE tarantula. Corey quickly sprayed and pointed out that the storm door wasn't closing all the way at the bottom, so he thought that's how the tarantula got in. He is also friendly which we appreciate. Since my last review giving three stars, I have now increased my review to five stars. Since last review they have been out once for regular service and once on special call for an ant problem. This last special call was attended to by employee Jason Martukovich. Jason is a true professional. Very friendly and provided a very good detail of the treatment he provided and what to look for.
