I normally don't write reviews, but this service needs one. This is an updated review after my original 5 star review. At first we really enjoyed getting our house serviced with Dean. However, in between quarterly services we started seeing a ton of scorpions (not his fault). He told us he would come out and retreat in between services if we noticed any issues. This is where The 2 stars comes in. He has texted me from multiple phone numbers so it is hard to keep track of from a customer stand point, the easiest way to contact is through yelp. I asked him if he could come out and treat the scorpions, and gave him my availability. His response was "you do realize it costs me $35 to use Yelp right. Call or text me", but that's hard to do when I'm being contacted from multiple numbers. This response alone shows me that our service is not valued to him. No, I am not aware of this cost. I do not have a business on Yelp. I am pretty sure this is a cost of doing business and should not be thrown in a customers face like that? I found it extremely disrespectful, and I'm not typically one to get upset about things. I had sent him a message back explaining my concerns of being able to contact since I do not have one number I've been contacted with (so I do not know which is valid and which isn't) and he has yet to read it or respond, and that was a few days ago. I am also not pleased with organizational skills. Not only was I being contacted through multiple numbers, he would text me saying my apt was on this day and time, even though we had agreed to a different date and time via a text from a different number. This has happened more than once. It is very hard as a customer to keep track of this. I am not pleased and would not recommend his services. My husband and I will be looking for someone else to service our pest needs. read more

I am beyond pleased with the service provided by Lone Star Pest Control. Dean was very personable, punctual, knowledgable, and kind. He takes pride in his job and made sure that we felt comfortable despite the creepy crawlers we'd recently spotted. Our company just relocated into an older but well-maintained building near Brackenridge Park Golf Course. Needless to say, we have all kinds of critters in the surrounding area. Lone Star Pest Control assessed the situation and got right to business. I like that they use environmentally friendly solutions that really work and at an affordable price. So far, no pests! I highly recommend Dean and Lone Star Pest Control - we'll be using them for any future pest control needs. read more

This was a greaT experience. I contacted Dean, the owner via Yelp on Sunday, July 19. He responded the same day. I was able to set up a time and appointment quickly for next day service. He arrived 20 minutes early which I really appreciated and was able to finish within the hour. I didn't feel like it was "sales-ee"...he seemed like he had our best interest at hand. It was well worth the money! We had the large cockroaches and wanted them gone. He was able to locate where they were coming from and get rid of them. He did our entire house. We have used two bigger names before and this was so much better! read more

Brad came to my house for the first time this week and I will never use anyone else ever again. He was oh so thorough. He explained everything before and after. He didn't ask me to sign a contract but he made recommendations as to how often I should treat my yard and house. He was polite, wore a mask and booties and was priced exceptionally good. Oh yeah, he was here when he said he would be. He called and confirmed the day before (?) and then again when he was on his way. He has figured out how to provide good product and service at a reasonable price with exceptional customer service skills. read more

I highly recommend Lone Star Pest Control. Before calling Dean, over the last 6 months I used 2 other pest control companies (plus my own extermination services) but my problem wasn't taken care of until Dean showed up and saved the day. His service was absolutely perfect, honest, genuine, responsive, and very attentive to help you get rid of unwanted critters. I have my own work to put in to keep the critters away, but I will be calling, maybe even to set up a quarterly service, when I need help. So far so good! Thanks Dean!! read more
