I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it. We were surprised by the calamari at a restaurant that specializes in Greek and Italian. It was frozen. The calamari was tender, but...it not authentic or fresh. I was expecting something lightly battered with the crispy tentacles. The calamari was perfectly round and battered, they looked like onion rings. They were definitely staring at ice cream tubs in the freezer before they landed on my plate. The crab cake was good. The staff was very friendly and patiently explained our questions about the menu. Vegan options were very limited and I couldn't find much to eat (I don't count the salad as a meal). If there are more vegan options, this will be my favorite place because I really liked the atmosphere here. I highly recommend you to try stuffed the grape leaf. read more

I went to Romilo's earlier today for lunch. I have to be gluten free due to celiac disease. There are very few options on the menu. I don't think that putting the contents of a sandwich or a burger on a plate is a viable option. It's simple to go to a grocery store to buy gluten free bread and hamburger rolls. I brought my own roll. The group that I was with decided not to go back there. The burger was fair. There were not a lot of options for add-ons to it. I'd take my money elsewhere. read more

The food at Romilo's was some of the worse I have ever been served. Eggplant parm sub came on stale, bread with no sauce and barely a hint of cheese. The eggplant was deep fried past the point of recognition and tasted like the last thing that was in the fryer. My wife's veal marsala went basically uneaten. The veal seemed to be steamed not prepared in the oven. Mentioning the quality of the food to the waitress fell on deaf ears. read more

Romilos's used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Great Greek salads plus an unusual meat sauce on their spaghetti was my choice when I visited. I moved out of the area but returned for a visit. The decor has been updated and it looked very nice. The spaghetti sauce had changed and it was a bland not interesting sauce. The serving size had been reduced by half.The nice slices of garlic bread were now one piece of bread cut into 4 slices. The Greek salad remained very good but also a smaller size. These changes have been made during the COVID crisis and many restaurants have had to make changes to survive. So I hope Romilos makes it but it will no longer will be on my list of places to visit. read more

This place is a hidden treasure but it seems as tho the locals are hip. Once we were seated people were consistently coming in. The outside leaves you to think it's little happening in this dark place but upon entry it's huge. There are two sides a bar and then a more cafe feel with gorgeous decor including exposed brick and tile walls and rustic lighting. They also have a lot of lunch and daily specials that are advertised when you first walk in which I enjoy. I ordered the rockfish special with a cup of cream of crab soup and my boyfriend ordered the lunch special which included a sub and cup of soup or salad. The cream of crab soup was some of the best I have ever had, it was seasoned wonderfully, creamy and each spoon full had loads of crab meat. Craving some more of that soup already. My rockfish came with fries and coleslaw the fries were a good natural cut and the rockfish was humongous hanging off the plate. It was beer battered which I'm not a fan of as I prefer hand breaded but it was okay. Just a preference of mine. Would come back and try some other items when in the area and even for the soup alone. Also the customer service was fantastic and I love how on the table are all the condiments including honey for my hot tea. read more

It has been 2 years since I last came here and the last time I was here I vowed I would never come back. They had gotten a new owner and they not only ruined the food that I had loved but they had fired a long time employee of this place. I've never had a chicken so dry I had to pour so much sauce on it so I could ingest it. The fries were old and tough to chew. Definitely won't recommend this place. It sad that a local business can't step up there game during this time. Also there is no way you should pay $18 for a flat piece of chicken and a handful of fries. We were pleasantly surprised on Saturday night when we finally got around to going to Romilos and enjoy the parking lot band. I am embarrassed to admit I have lived in SP for almost 10 years and had never been. We met the owner Chris and he was very sweet and so passionate about his restaurant. We only got a snack there as we had already eaten. The tzatziki with pita was delicious. We also got a white pizza to go and ate it the next day. Truly one of the BEST pizzas I've had in a long time. This place has great pizza, salads and you have to try the Greek French Fries. I come here monthly with MBX networking luncheon but I frequently come in to pickup lunch. We have been here a few times in the last month or so and the service has been fantastic. Tonight my husband and I had dinner at the bar. Brian remembered what we were drinking from our last visit. Romulus breakfast is delicious. However they seem to have issues figuring out how many people to have working for the brunch shift on weekends. The last visit I watched at least four tables get up and leave as there was only one waitress and all tables were full. Purely from a hospitality stance Romilos deserves 5 plus stars. I've been eating here for years and they have a nice family-friendly atmosphere with good pizzas, subs, Greek food, and salads. It's not pretentious or hipster, it's just a good old fashioned comfort food restaurant. Last week we had a birthday party at the kids gym across the parking lot from Romilos and the pizza place they did deals with was unable to accommodate our order of 10 pizzas, 6 cheese, 4 pepperoni. My wife called Romilos and the person who answered was extremely helpful, very friendly, and professional and assured us they could handle the order. On top, they cut us a deal and offered to carry them over to the party.... in the pouring rain. A huge thanks to the staff of Romilos, you guys saved us from having 20 hangry 3 year olds! read more

Romilios is the type of place where you can take the whole family for a meal and even your pickiest eaters will leave satisfied. Expansive menu, friendly servers and an easy going vibe. They have a traditional dining area on one side and a bar area on the other so really something for everyone. I love checking out the live bands and have even gone to karaoke night and had a blast. Things are looking up at Romilos. After the food and service went off a cliff, I had not been here in maybe a year. I gave them a shot tonight and pleased to report the food has restored to it's original quality and service was great. My husband and I have been eating at Romilos for at least the past ten years and we kind of go back and forth with regards to how we feel about the place. We usually do not go wrong if we order a salad, a hot roast beef platter or a sandwich, however, if we order anything else we are usually let down. It seems as though a lot of their dishes see the microwave at some point and every time we order the crab soup we get a stomach ache. I highly recommend the Village Salad with Chicken and Pita. I am disappointed. Romilo's has been our "go-to" for their take-out Greek Salad for years. My recent experience was not good. I called and was asked to hold. The phone was put on the counter and I was forgotten. I hung up eventually and called back repeatedly. I could not get through until the phone was hung up. I gently mentioned to the young woman that she put me on hold and forgot me and she did not even acknowledge or apologize for this. She just asked for my order. I gave it to her and she abruptly said it would be ready in 15 min and hung up...no thank you OR good bye. Our salads were not the usual. They were stingy on the feta cheese and olives.
