This spot is a hidden gem!!! Really good food & service! Love the BBQ sauce! it's finger lickin good! Their sausage gives the right amount of kick too! Can't go wrong with their brisket, tri-tip, ribs & chicken. Baked beans & cole slaw goes great as sides!!

Rib plate w/ pink. Bbq beans, potato salad. SO GOOD!!

Great customer service. Huge servings. The sides were all home made and delicious. Recommend to anyone in the area. Will be back next week.

Potato salad, baked beans, chicken, brisket, hot link

Had the opportunity to try Romey's yesterday for the first time and it did not disappoint. We told him it was our first time there and he gave us a generous sample of the food. Everything was delicious and the meats were so tender they fall of the bone and melt in your mouth. I usually find brisket very dry in other BBQ spots but not here. As sides we got potato salad, cole slaw, and baked beans. Glad we were able to finally try this place! I would call him ahead of time to make sure he is there and still has food because he sells out pretty quick.

Romey offered a sample of his ribs!

My order didn't come with the oysters or the hushpuppies, and another order at our table was also missing hushpuppies. After I got home, I called about the missing items and was told they were out of oysters. They also said the hushpuppies were forgotten and told me to let them know next time and they would take care of it. The seafood was seasoned well and tasted good overall. The only downside for me was the dark part in the fish (the bloodline), which has a stronger taste and isn't my preference. For sides, I had greens and candied yams. The greens were a little bland and needed more seasoning, and the yams were just okay--not very sweet. Someone with me ordered oxtails, mac and cheese, and collard greens. The oxtails were actually pretty good, but the mac and cheese wasn't for me (I don't usually like mac and cheese). The collard greens were just okay. The wait time was about 25-30 minutes, which they did mention ahead of time. One thing to note is that when we went, it was cash only because the card machine wasn't working. They accepted Zelle, but it would be helpful to have a sign posted. The place is small, but the customer service was great. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, and the staff overall seemed on point. Overall, the food was decent, but nothing that would make me come back.

It had an old school vibe. It was clean and has indoor and outdoor seating The meats were overall pretty good. The ribs had a great flavor and bbq sauce was really good. The beef ribs were a good size. Only one part of one of the ribs was dry but the other side was tender and juicy as well as the others. The baby ribs were tender and had great flavor. Our favorite was the brisket. Our least favorite was the sausage. I wasn't a fan because when we bit into a piece it kind of crumbled. Seemed dried out but it had good flavor. The spiced watermelon was refreshing and the cornbread was hot and light. The Mac and cheese was solid. I'm not a fan of mustard based potato salad but my wife is and she really liked it. I didn't taste it but she said the ingredients worked together well but it was just a little mustard flavor forwarded. But she was a fan of it. So people that don't like a mustard flavor might not like it. We were split on the beans. I thought they were ok. Very light flavoring. But my wife absolutely loved it. I'm used to the bbq baked beans with the sweet bbq sauce so again it's your presence.

The restaurant is 'open' and "cheery", a bar to sit at and tables of different sizes. Nice selection of 'on tap' beers. Family style in the name of the game. We ordered the two protein and side. About 4 TVs and they had different sporting events showing Service- this is where it started to go south. Your front of the house and those few minutes that a new customer has is crucial. Not very friendly and not really acknowledging the people that were standing waiting to be seated. Finally got a table, gave us menus and then 15 minutes go by and they haven't taken our order for drinks. As I look around there were 4 tables that had been seated, as well and no drink orders. We all waited about the same amount of time to get our drink orders. This unfortunately is why i took off 2 stars. To me, this unacceptable. After being seated and food came out, no one checked in until I needed a box and to pay. Did not feel welcomed and /or appreciated that I was supporting a small local business. Food- Brisket without the BBQ didn't have enough flavor. These types of meat don't need a hype man- the BBQ sauce. They need to be good on their own. Buuut Meat was tender. I read that their sausage is not great it's quite dry so I skipped it, my son had ordered ribs so I was going to steal from him, so I decided to get chicken- dark meat options. Chicken was very tasty, juicy and tender. It was the star of the dinner plate!!! Whaat!!! Their coleslaw- loved how everything was chopped nice and consistent- loved the Julienned green apples- again missing seasoning. DINNER ROLLS- Soooo fucken dry and not warmed up. I expect that level of hardness on my rolls when they are about to expire. Warm them up put them in a basket and give me butter. Such a small - perhaps minute action- but it was a huge miss. Other patrons were also commenting how bad the rolls were. We even joked, "death by dinner roll! " LOL. Cornbread- small portion but packed with flavor. I would say ease up on the Honey. I want to taste the corn bread too. It's unfortunate, I didn't have the experience others have had. Most likely not going to add it to my new restaurant rotation. There are other better options with better customer service.

Pickled papaya & carrot salad with Cambodian style fried rice which has an unexpected delightful coconut cream to add another component twist to the dish. Everything we tried was awesome! By the end of the night they were sold out! I would definitely luv to try more of their menu whenever they're in town. Tap to pay available. Fun fact: Adonis started smoking meats at home and his son said dad you could sell this. Adonis tried it out and the business began to grow. Now he has been able to run this awesome pop up traveling to the people sharing his passion with every bite.
