Considering our insurance doesn't cover annual check-ups, I called around a few clinics and…read morehospitals and found this place to be reasonably priced for an out-of-pocket visit, which included a pap. When I checked in, I was given 2 pages to fill out, and within about 7 minutes, I was called in. Anna was the medical assistant who took all my vitals and asked me some health history questions to complete my chart. Soon after, she lead me to another room to be seen by the Nurse Practitioner. Within a couple minutes the NP came in-- I thought wow, that was fast! The NP was really nice and did the whole exam, and even asked if I wanted to run some blood work to check cholesterol levels, etc. My entire appointment took less than an hour, and I felt my physical exam went pretty well. Now, I just need to schedule a separate appointment for my blood work.

Frustrated and Disappointed After Years of Loyalty…read more I've been going to this clinic for years, and the quality of care has seriously declined. This is now the second time they've failed to submit my prescription--something that directly affects my health. Meanwhile, they're quick to take your copay and will cancel your appointment without hesitation if your insurance isn't perfectly in order. They'll call you to schedule a follow-up after bloodwork, but while still on the phone, they're checking your insurance coverage--like your care is secondary to your billing status. It's clear that money comes first. Worse, I've only seen my assigned doctor twice in all these years. Every visit is with a nurse practitioner--often still in training. There's no continuity, no personal connection, and certainly no accountability. I will absolutely change providers and will actively warn others about this clinic. I also plan to report this experience to my insurance provider. This place no longer deserves anyone's time or money.

I have Scripps insurance and my PCP is here. It's literally a 5 minute drive from my house…read more Usually when I'm here I'm due for an annual physical and when I do I see Dr Brunsting. He is such a great doctor - super nice and very thorough with the few concerns I did have. Because of him my physicals are quick and easy, which is very alleviating when I see doctors as a patient! I've also gone here once on a non-physical appointment. On that appointment I saw Dr. Tran. He addressed my concerns to my satisfaction and his prescriptions helped me get a lot better. The support staff from the check-in desk to the RNs and even the lab staff are super friendly. Whenever I go here they ensure that my visit is hassle-free. I also have good medical insurance so no surprise bills to come out of here. PS: My only concern is that Scripps doesn't have an urgent care location south of the 52. I know that as of my last visit they were promoting HealthExpress so at least there's an option there but it just sucks that I would have to drive the equivalent distance of going to work just to be seen.

***PLEASE READ ME***…read more After three years of having my children as patients, I cannot recommend Dr. Singh or the pediatrics office at Scripps Eastlake. Over the past year, three last-minute cancellations, repeated communication failures, and consistently long waits have led me to seek care elsewhere. First, appointment times have meant very little in our experience. We arrive 15 minutes early as requested, only to wait another 30 minutes to an hour past the scheduled appointment time before being seen. These delays mean more time away from work, more school missed, and additional childcare disruptions. The bigger issue is that appointments for my sons were canceled on three separate occasions the morning of the visit--sometimes approximately 30 minutes beforehand--without notification reaching me. The office said it called my wife's number. My wife is deployed in the military and cannot reliably receive and relay these messages. My number is on file as the primary contact, and I have repeatedly explained that they need to call me. I raised this with the front office and nursing staff after each incident, yet the same problem kept happening. I understood the first mistake. After the second cancellation, I filed a formal complaint and changed pediatricians for one of my sons. My other son still needed an appointment while I waited for availability elsewhere. What happened next was especially frustrating. When scheduling contacted me about an appointment, I specifically said I did not want another appointment with Dr. Singh because of the previous cancellations. I was considering an available appointment with another doctor that same day. The scheduling representative reassured me that Dr. Singh would see my son, or another provider would see him if she could not. Based on that assurance, I accepted the appointment. I took time off work, pulled my son out of school, and rearranged childcare. When I arrived, I learned the appointment had been canceled again that morning. The assurance that another provider would see him was not honored. I filed another formal complaint, as well as a complaint through my insurance provider. Over roughly three years, Dr. Singh personally saw my children only about twice; other doctors covered most of their visits. I understand that doctors have emergencies and personal circumstances. What I cannot accept is repeatedly leaving families without care or effective notice, especially after the communication problem has been explained and formally reported. Parents deserve reliable appointments, accurate contact information being used, and scheduling promises they can trust. If a physician cannot consistently see their patients, families deserve an honest explanation and help arranging care with someone who can. Based on my family's experience, I strongly encourage parents looking for a pediatrician in Eastlake--including military families using TRICARE--to consider another practice. This is my firsthand account, and I am sharing it so other families can make an informed decision.

They sometimes gossip or chit chat while you're sitting right next to them and don't acknowledge patients in the room. They could be friendlier and put patients first a little bit more. The wait time is also extremely ridiculous. I spent 2 hours waiting for a 15 minute visit. My mom spent 4 hours one time as well. Clear your DAY if you want to be seen.

Fast forward about 2-3 years later, she failed to maintain proper care for my father that had a heart condition. On his end, he had done everything preventative for about 2 decades after finding out he had the heart problem, to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Due to her negligence, my dad's cardiologist notified us that dad's heart was no longer functioning well and he had a very short life left. In our discussion with him, he stated that Dr. Polak was a very poor doctor due to other experiences had with her work. A bit before all this happened, Dr. Polak had also recommended that my mom had heart assessments. My mom had never displayed any symptoms, so when she met with another cardiologist, that cardiologist, basically also had the same poor opinion of Dr. Polak. He didn't understand why my mom was referred to him or the assessments due to mom's great cardiac condition. BEWARE!!

Dear AFC Urgent Care,…read more On July 8, 2026, at 7:15 pm, I scheduled an appointment with Urgent Care for my husband, who had been ill for approximately one week with flu symptoms, including cough, congestion, headache, body aches, and episodes of sweating. The nurse or medical assistant--I'm not sure of his title since he didn't inform us--took my husband's vital signs without wearing a mask and was seen coughing into his hand. Additionally, he did not wash his hands before or after taking my husband's vital signs. My husband's vital signs were normal. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) examined my husband's ears, throat, and chest. She acknowledged his reported symptoms but did not report any concerns after completing her physical assessment and interview. She did not order or perform a nasal swab, draw blood, collect a urine sample, or conduct a chest X-ray. Instead, she performed an EKG, which was reported as normal. Unfortunately, my husband did not receive a diagnosis or prescription. He was advised to go to the emergency room for blood work and a chest X-ray. We believe that the care he received was inadequate and that the EKG was unnecessary. I had informed the NP that my husband had recently undergone a full workup with a cardiologist, which revealed no concerns. Additionally, my husband informed the NP that he had not and was not experiencing any chest pain.

She was my father's doctor-he liked…read moreher very much- and when I suggested we try to find a more practical office for a wheelchair as my dad was a new amputee he absolutely refused. I personally left Dr. Shachar because I found a doctor who I used in the past that I was happy with and re-established a relationship with. My father passed and Dr. Shachar called and offered her condolences. Dr. Shachar is not the issue here. At least not for me. Our family has not had any bad medicine from her. Her treatment plans are reasonable. She is kind. The problem is her staff. And I am only writing this negative review in the hopes that this kind and great doctor will consider the way her staff treats her patients. Her staff has always been rude, condescending, haughty. As I mentioned, my mother and father have been going to her for over a decade, and after so much time of a doctor patient relationship you would think there would be some kind of recognition of that fact. I work in an emergency animal hospital. I am a senior receptionist. I have dealt with my clients from the day they got there kitten or puppy to the day where we sadly have to choose peace over a poor quality of life. Now if one day my client calls me to tell me his poodles breath is getting stinkier by the day, it's been going on for awhile, and needs to be seen, I don't tell the 80 year old man he had an appointment, that was scheduled a while ago and well obviously it got cancelled. My soonest is on this day. He can't make it. Okay, let's try this date. He can't make it. 1 more try, he can't do it. Frustrating for parties. I get it. If the older man's son says if he can find another provider for care would the records get there quickly? I WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT TELL THE PERSON ON THE PHONE OH YES DEFINITELY. SO SHE ISN'T GOING TO BE A PATIENT HERE ANYMORE CORRECT? This receptionist sounded like she was so happy to be rid of my mom as a patient. A long time patient. For my regular long time clients there's a certain bond we have. I have had to walk my clients, most of them I call friends, off the ledge about there dogs diarrhea not killing them and we'll get them in. I will find the owner of the practice or her 2 associate vets and ask them, hey, can one of you squeeze so and so in on your earliest convenience. I would do that for the 80 year old man as well. And these are pets (which many call there fur babies). Dr. Shachars staff is just very quick to shoo away her human patients of 15 years at the drop of a hat. Lucky for these rude insensitive mouthy employees they can act however they want over the phone. A lot of people don't appreciate the poor treatment of their elderly relatives. My mother has verbally told Dr. Shachar during an appointment how her front staff treated her badly. I do not know if Dr. Shachar does not care or just condones the poor treatment of her patients. I would like to find my mother a new PCP, but like my father, my mother said no, she really likes Dr. Shachar and that's her doctor and not mine. In the past years I have also been treated poorly and spoken down to by these young ladies and have had to refrain from becoming very ghetto. Only for the sake of my parents and Dr. Shachar do I keep my mouth shut. But I can handle myself. My poor deceased father and 80 year old mother cannot. I have just my mama left and Dr. Shachar, C'mon, you have always been there for our family. Please do not allow your front staff girls to be so rude. This in no way reflects my mother's feelings.

The doctor had never looked at the ct results and had to ask the assistant to get them. Why are we even there?! After dealing with referral issues for 2 weeks for a CT scan I called for a 4th time to tell them they had the referral wrong (first time it was the wrong fax, second time the order was incomplete, 3rd time they sent it to the wrong fax again (AFTER I GAVE THEM THE CORRECT NUMBER), 4th time to tell them the order was wrong AGAIN and that my mom would not be going there again. None of the staff that answer phones tell you their names, I asked the person dealing with the referral what her name was, her name is Juleny (from what I understood). After I told her he would not be going there and their service is horrible she hung up on me. I wasn't rude or anything and I was being very patient since my mom needs these appointments.

Frustrating Experience with Dr. Martha E. Lozano, MD - Avoid This Doctor!…read more I visited Dr. Martha E. Lozano, MD, to get a new CPAP machine after my old one started failing. I had been struggling for nearly a year to obtain a replacement due to insurance complications and provider changes. Initially, I went to Scripps Green, where they promised to rush my order, but my insurance denied it after Scripps Green opted out of my medical group. I then attempted to go through UCSD Medical, where I was originally diagnosed with sleep apnea, but they were fully booked for six months. After several failed attempts and even switching primary doctors--only to find out my original doctor could have placed the order--I was finally referred to Dr. Lozano. I was relieved to secure an appointment within two weeks. However, my initial visit was disappointing. Despite arriving early for paperwork, I waited over an hour before being seen. When I explained my urgent need for a CPAP machine, Dr. Lozano assured me she would rush the order, and I should receive it within two weeks. However, she insisted I needed a new sleep study--despite my existing diagnosis and previous study, which should have been sufficient. This was completely unnecessary and seemed like a tactic to bill my insurance for additional tests. Desperate to move forward, I reluctantly agreed. Unfortunately, things only got worse from there. A week passed with no updates, so I called the office. After being placed on hold for ten minutes, I hung up and tried again--only to face the same issue. I then contacted my insurance, who attempted to reach the office as well. Despite multiple follow-ups, I never received a return call. One month passed. Then two months. Still, nothing. This experience was beyond frustrating. Instead of receiving timely care, I was met with delays, poor communication, and unnecessary hurdles. Doctors like this should have their license taken away!
