This is now the second time they've failed to submit my prescription--something that directly affects my health. Meanwhile, they're quick to take your copay and will cancel your appointment without hesitation if your insurance isn't perfectly in order. They'll call you to schedule a follow-up after bloodwork, but while still on the phone, they're checking your insurance coverage--like your care is secondary to your billing status. It's clear that money comes first. Worse, I've only seen my assigned doctor twice in all these years. Every visit is with a nurse practitioner--often still in training. There's no continuity, no personal connection, and certainly no accountability. I will absolutely change providers and will actively warn others about this clinic. I also plan to report this experience to my insurance provider. This place no longer deserves anyone's time or money.

Dr. Polanco had ordered me a chest x-ray and upon taking the time off to do the chest x-ray, they had failed to send it to the imaging center not once but TWICE within a span of 2 weeks! Their excuse is that they don't have the correct fax number to the imaging place. Like seriously?! After that hoopla, I've been contacted to appear in person for an appointment by my doctor and upon reaching the office, they informed me that it was scheduled for the following week. All those time off work been wasted for nothing and yet i'm still not getting any better. I will not be coming back to this place again. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL. They have an option to make an urgent care appt online beforehand but the website was glitching on me so I did a walk in. I had maybe a 20 min wait and the Dr was with me shortly after. They would not do the blood tests even though Medicare would have paid. I needed a couple of other testes that Scripps would not order. Guess what! Found a competent doctor that ordered the tests that Scripps would not order, that Medicare paid for, and found the answers I needed to heal an issue that the doctors at Scripps were to incompetent to find! Sharp, here I come! The difference between Scripps and Sharp was so different. I am now a happy Sharp's patient without rogue billing.

The last time I saw a doctor doing his patient's vitals, blood pressure, drawing blood for lab testing, it was on an 80's TV show. Having hit the trifecta (but not in a good way) when it comes to chronic health concerns, it's rare, but sometimes a challenge & a half to keep/honor appointments with him. At times, I'm already admitted in hospital for something else dire, juggling clashing appointments or lacking the ability to function at all. Case in point, I just got a letter from his office today, advising that since I refused to secure a follow up appointment he's refusing to treat me in future. My care provider's attention to detail is second to none, but we "dropped the ball" unintentionally somehow. I've been extremely fortunate to be insured & have been treated by great doctors; he's no exception. I'll make sure to resolve this matter next week. The good ones don't grow on trees. Fast forward about 2-3 years later, she failed to maintain proper care for my father that had a heart condition. On his end, he had done everything preventative for about 2 decades after finding out he had the heart problem, to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Due to her negligence, my dad's cardiologist notified us that dad's heart was no longer functioning well and he had a very short life left. In our discussion with him, he stated that Dr. Polak was a very poor doctor due to other experiences had with her work. A bit before all this happened, Dr. Polak had also recommended that my mom had heart assessments. My mom had never displayed any symptoms, so when she met with another cardiologist, that cardiologist, basically also had the same poor opinion of Dr. Polak.
