There are at least 8 lanes, maybe 10. The wooden targets were in good shape, the lanes included holders for the axes, and erase boards for scoring. There's a second room that had corn hole games but I didn't see any information regarding it. My group consisted of just myself and one other. There was no one else in the establishment while we were there on a Saturday evening. The guy manning the counter was friendly and took the time to show us a few different ways to throw the axe after we signed a waiver and read over the venue rules. An hour was a bit long for just two people to throw and our arms hurt a bit by the end but we had a good time. It cost $20 a person to throw for an hour which is a bit steep but was okay for an occasional splurge. I've since been to a place that charges $50 an hour for a lane with up to five people. If the price were closer to $15 a person I would be more likely to visit regularly when in town.

First time throwing an axe. We had a FANTASTIC time!…read more The process is easy peasy. You can either make a reservation and put down a deposit or walk-in and take care of your needs on the spot. We had the indoor lane as you come into the location, right upfront. You get a lane Coach, ours was Colt. He's AWESOME and FUNNY! Great guy! You get to practice beforehand to test your ability, axe weight, etc. This was so much fun! The most appealing and gratfying part for me is the axe flying through the air, with safety being top priority at all times. This is a great way to have fun, kick back, and let off some steam! Definitely coming back! Good stuff!

The staff was super friendly and gave us tips on how we could throw better. This was my third time going axe throwing, and I think my favorite experience thus far was at American Axes. I wish I could remember our guide/expert; he was terrific. Talented bearded guy; his nickname was the Viking. He was 25th in the world in official ax-throwing championships; he had lots of sponsorships. He taught us well (we were a group of 12), and gave each of us particular pointers as we threw. He had everybody landing shots by the time the evening was over. He even taught us a few trick shots, like underhand throws. Terrific time. Place was clean and fun. They have a QR code you can scan to get additional games. Really enjoyable group time. No food or drink available onsite that I'm aware of, but we brought our own drinks and had a terrific time. Really enjoyable time at a good price. Recommended. I mean, how cool would it be for you to say that you learned to throw an ax?
