Daniel is a great communicator, translating what you want into an efficient series of steps to accomplish the goal. My wife praises his "economy of movement", marveling how he accomplishes goals. In our 1930s beach cottage we've hung doors, upgraded knob and tube electrical, added circuits for kitchen counters and appliances, modernized gas hookups, and are now removing some of the non-functional elements added over the last century. We unreservedly recommend Daniel, both to this online audience and our friends and neighbors, who are getting their long-overdue to-do lists ready for him. Two thumbs up.

Daniel and I scheduled a time for him to come out directly in the yelp app. Communication was great. Daniel showed up at 2 PM at the time that we were scheduled. He got straight to work, fix the ring light. We discovered that there was some other issues with the ring light. I also had an electrical outlet that was burning possibly because of a loose connection. He was able to replace the electrical outlet for my family to safely resume using it. Daniel will surely be on my short list of people to call when I need work done around the house.

I used the Yelp feature to solicit quotes. Two different handymen did a drive by of my property and said they didn't have a ladder tall enough to reach my roof. They just completed the repairs, on budget and in a timely manner. I'm so relieved to have this taken care of and look forward to great sleep moving forward. Highly recommend and would use them again.

I bought the flight back to SF and found out Jeff was misreporting the hours after I checked the security system. I decided to stop the contract with him and worked with someone else. The patching costed me more than $2,000 as the shape that Jeff cut was irregular. The patching contractor said he had never seen such poor quality of work in his life.. I read the reviews from yelp and found the information definitely misleading. It was a waste of time and money in my experience.

After the windows were cleaned it seemed logical to replace a kitchen window screen that the…read moresquirrels had damaged several years ago. I don't know why they chose that one. None of the others were damaged, but so it goes. I did a search and found Handyman Flores. I called him, but the voicemail on his phone is not set up, so I was unable to leave a message. I used the Yelp communication tool to leave him a message and that made the process far more complicated than it needed to be, because Yelp sent the message to several other window-related companies. It was very aggravating and I won't use that again, because I'm having to respond to all sorts of random companies and people Yelp contacted on my "behalf". Only one of the 4 or 5 companies was local. The closest otherwise was San Rafael. The others were in Pittsburg and San Ramon. Talk about a blunt instrument, unhelpful and, in my case, counterproductive. Most helpful of those was Paula, of East County Glass & Window. If I lived closer, I would certainly use them. Her response was detailed and extremely useful. I finally did reach Handyman Flores, who said by text that he could replace the screen for $120. That seemed OK. I was quoted a range of prices and that was in the middle. He and a helper came over between 5:00 and 6:00 this evening. They replaced the screen and it looks great, as good as new. When I was writing the check I confirmed the amount and he said that it would be $150 because of the materials he had purchased. That was a surprise, but I paid it. He does a wide range of services, so he is indeed a handyman. It would be handier for his customers if his voice mailbox were set up.

Eduardo has done two projects on my house in SF and I've been very happy with the results…read more The first was a laundry room where he had to move the plumbing, electrical, and gas lines as well as finish the flooring. He expertly walked me through the permitting process, which can be difficult in the city, and worked with me through all the details. He was recommended to me by a friend and I would gladly recommend him again. We also did a mold remediation and closet rebuild, this was incredibly time sensitive and somewhat difficult because I am the landlord and had to work with my tenants to make sure they were ok with the process as it was happening. He helped talk both me and my tenants through what the process would be like, making sure that there were plastic walls to protect us from the mold as the job was being done, and beautifully completed the project within a very tight timeframe at the last minute. Very grateful for his expertise and his concern for my tenant's well being. I actually have another project that I'm planning to reach out to Eduardo for in the future!
