I bought the flight back to SF and found out Jeff was misreporting the hours after I checked the security system. I decided to stop the contract with him and worked with someone else. The patching costed me more than $2,000 as the shape that Jeff cut was irregular. The patching contractor said he had never seen such poor quality of work in his life.. I read the reviews from yelp and found the information definitely misleading. It was a waste of time and money in my experience.

These guys are great…read more I had a few things around my office that needed to get done. Hanging a mirror, fixing a door handle that I couldn't figure out... that sort of thing. I suck at these things. I'm basically the least handy guy around, and all the pictures in my house are crooked, with 18 nail holes behind the art. Fred came by, got it done, I don't have to think about it anymore. The mirror is level and I don't have to worry about it coming off the wall, the door works fine now. I used them because I saw them repaint a bathroom at my girlfriend's mom's house which had been in shambles forever. Now it looks great. Some handymen come over and you feel like they are living out of their trucks. I've met Tom the owner, and he's super professional and straight forward. His guys are very clean, and extremely professional. I would have no problems leaving my keys and a list to my home and letting them clear my "honey-do" list.

None of the others were damaged, but so it goes. I did a search and found Handyman Flores. I called him, but the voicemail on his phone is not set up, so I was unable to leave a message. I used the Yelp communication tool to leave him a message and that made the process far more complicated than it needed to be, because Yelp sent the message to several other window-related companies. It was very aggravating and I won't use that again, because I'm having to respond to all sorts of random companies and people Yelp contacted on my "behalf". Only one of the 4 or 5 companies was local. The closest otherwise was San Rafael. The others were in Pittsburg and San Ramon. Talk about a blunt instrument, unhelpful and, in my case, counterproductive. Most helpful of those was Paula, of East County Glass & Window. If I lived closer, I would certainly use them. Her response was detailed and extremely useful. I finally did reach Handyman Flores, who said by text that he could replace the screen for $120. That seemed OK. I was quoted a range of prices and that was in the middle. He and a helper came over between 5:00 and 6:00 this evening. They replaced the screen and it looks great, as good as new. When I was writing the check I confirmed the amount and he said that it would be $150 because of the materials he had purchased. That was a surprise, but I paid it. He does a wide range of services, so he is indeed a handyman. It would be handier for his customers if his voice mailbox were set up.

Martin from Hintz's originally came over to give me a quote for the damaged siding of my house. However, he didn't stop there . He started pointing out all the little stuff he would help me fixed up along with the siding project without me asking for them or pointing out those problems. He was observant, patient and thorough. I'm glad I picked them . Martin and his crew were wonderful. I was so happy with their work with the siding . I started to give them more jobs around the house . 1 week siding project turned into few months of work around the house.
