The most disappointing experience I've had with any service provider. They seem to have zero communication internally. They keep asking over and over for things I have provided to them. They keep coming up with additional requirements for why they can't do the work. Then I mitigate or provide them with what they request. Lastly, after they finished putting the carpet, they didnt install back the star rails as "is not included in the job description". Not very accommodating, carpet installer had to be told three times where to transition the carpeting from one room to the next. Transition ended up being short and crooked when I called and talk to the installation manager he said he would get back to me, but instead I had his customer service rep sent me an email the next day telling me after reviewing the picture that was within industry standards. if I wanted somebody to come out I would have to pay $125 to travel and $175 labor. Something tells me I should've gone with a carpeting and flooring outlet opposed to Home Depot, won't make that mistake again read more

Daniel and Oscar arrived on time, completed the entire job in one day (rather than the 3 days predicted), worked quickly and tirelessly, and were delightful and polite. They cut the new carpeting and baseboard in the driveway on my request, and thus kept the house spotless and dust-free. 10 hours later they had finished a top notch job of installing new carpeting and baseboard, perfect for quality and time taken. The brothers did a great job cleaning up my driveway right after the installation. I always tip my tradesmen/ women, and these two were shy about taking one! The whole cost of taking out old carpeting and pad, putting in the new carpeting and pad, new baseboard, and hauling the old materials away was very reasonable, a bit lower than the competition in Sequim WA. We purchased carpet from a large local retailer. Romanoff Renovations was the contractor sent for the installation. From the initial contact to confirm our appointment to the final walk through on installation day, the employees were extremely professional. The crew that did the install were great communicators and efficient workers. A mix up at the carpet mill could have caused a major inconvenience. I got great communication from the manager, Jeff. My fiance was very happy with Hector and his installation partner. They had a cancellation and arrived early with a confirmation from me to do so. My personal experience was poor to say the least. $10k plus project for flooring and trim. They scheduled a two day crew on the first go around. They moved my two day crew to a different project without communication with me for a one person crew. Second go around we got a three day crew that no showed on the first day, again, no communication. Had to move my wife and 7 month old twice to the in laws, move furniture and house around twice due to family coming to visit after the first go around. The inconvenience of me being ready for them and then taking me away from other work from putting my house back together is my main frustration. I could argue they cost me $1k for my hours worked to put my house back in order, hotel costs if we didn't have family to use for the 5 nights my family was away from our home and any revenue I could've brought to the work I do. Communication was the biggest frustration. Then after the project the most they could credit is $300. I wouldn't have allowed them to do the job if I had know only $300 would be credited. I gave a two star, because the contractors did do a good job. All in all, I wouldn't do business with Home Depot, mainly because the manager did not call me about this poor experience. But, mainly wouldn't go to Home Depot due to the frustration, inconvenience and lack of communication from Romanoff. read more

I bought new wood flooring from Home Depot and was told that Romanoff would do the installation. Upon arriving at the job site which was a condominium, the crew turned up the music very loud. I asked them to please turn it down, as there were people living next door. They turned it down for 5 minutes and then turned it up again, resulting in complaints from neighbors. The person in charge of the crew did not seem able to manage the crew. 5 people showed up to the site, and it seemed as if half had no idea what they were doing. One in particular was confrontational and seemed determined to fight. Overall, the crew was not professional. The site was not prepped well. No furniture was covered, resulting in a lot of dust everywhere. When removing the tile from the kitchen floor, they ran into a problem in that the concrete crumbled underneath. They did a good job cleaning up the the concrete, but then told me that they could not repair the floor and that I would have to find someone to do it. No referrals were provided. The crew then walked off the job. I called the support number, and I was told to use the internet to find someone to fix the kitchen floor. This was impossible in the present climate to find someone who would take on the job. I was left with unfinished flooring and no plan to move forward. I called Home Depot since they subcontract with Romanoff. They refused to return my call. All I wanted was a referral to someone that could help, as I was left with a messy work sight, living space that was uninhabitable, and nowhere to turn. read more

Representative explained what he was going to do and was very thorough. Job was done very professionally.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Took 7 1/2 hrs to install 1 room of carpet. Their truck broke down after they arrived and the installers had to carry the large roll of carpet a block and a half. Once inside with the carpet they decided that they needed 2 more installers to get the carpet in the room so that was a 20 min delay. Then, instead of the office taking care of the broken truck, the installers had to spend 2 1/2 hrs coordinating towing, getting a new truck and transferring tools. They arrived at 815 AM and finally finished at 340pm. Called the office at 2 pm and talked to a manager named Jeremy who was defensive and combative about the whole situation.The guys did a good job installing the carpet once they finally got started, even though only one of the installers was an actual installer (the other a helper). Romanoff is the carpet installer for Home Depot.so Id advise if youre getting new carpet, check who the installer is and if its Romanoff..just say no. Awful experience.. read more

I purchased flooring from Home Depot in Poulsbo; they suggested Romanoff Renovations for installation. The installer that came to my condo on Bainbridge Island was Robert Abner. He did a fantastic job, went above and beyond. He caulked not only on the floor edge (perfect line) but also on top of the woodwork which had a bit of space from the wall. He placed the transition strips by matching the patterns. I am very pleased. read more

I can't vouch for other branches of Romanoff, but the Puget Sound branch did great by me. My installer, Andrei, was stellar. He worked almost 11 hrs straight with practically no breaks all by himself on this job that was clearly too much for just one person. He finished nearly everything except a few stairs that needed bull-nosing, but returned the next morning and wrapped up. This guys is a master class in courtesy and professionalism, but more importantly, he did a fantastic job on the installation. I'm a pretty picky customer, and I have zero complaints - actually the opposite - I offer praise. Andrei even gave me some helpful home improvement tips while he was working non-stop on my carpets. If you guys haven't considered giving this man a raise, I recommend you do whatever it takes to keep him on your payroll. If I had any recommendations: While I appreciate HIS hard work and diligence, YOU guys as a company really should have sent 2 people for this large of a job though. It's not right to put this much of a workload on one person. Other than that, the install went swimmingly. read more
