Service is still shit. BUT WOW ARE THE VIEWS/SHAWTIES HERE SPECTACULAR. Come here on Friday nights or late weekends and people watch. Everyone drunk eating pizza and getting over charged by the cashier because they don't konw what they are ordering. Make sur to charge back your credit card bc they try to overcharge you! Paid for my pizza slices of 11.50$ for 2 chicken Caesar slices and when they got out of the oven I went to pick up the box, they demanded additional MONEY. said that the pizza was one dollar more... I had already swiped my card and had no cash on me and so they argued with me for one dollar.... read more

I'm not from Manhattan but the vodka slice with chicken was one of the best pieces of pizza I've had in my life. The crust alone is worth coming back! A combination of creamy vodka sauce, crispy chicken and light airy crust was the perfect trifecta of my ideal slice. I am only in town for a few days but I wish I could come here every week. The line was out the door when we came late in the night but moved fast. A lot of spots to sit down and enjoy your slice hot too. Can't wait to come back the next time I'm in town. read more

Romanos has gone downhill so fast, this is not the authentic NYC Old School pizza they were serving a year ago. The crust is too sweet and too doughy. I have had a number of bad deliveries from here in the last few months, so today I thought lets see how a plain slice is in person. First and last time here. Walked in and asked if they had any pizza specials. The Spanish guy mumbled something under his breath and the other 2 guys behind the counter laughed. I understand Spanish but honestly couldn't make out what he said. Regardless I ordered a slice of margarita paid six dollars for it and it was the worst slice. I could ever imagine. New York is filled with pizza places and most of them, It's $1.50 a slice and it's really good fresh and hot. Qualities that this pizza unfortunately did possess. Skip this place and go anywhere else but here. read more

Pretty Good for a east side midtown spot. My favorite was the Caesar salad pizza. Super crispy bottom without burning the pizza and super friendly staff. Should def be coming here if you are looking for a pizza spot. There's one popular nearby that has severely downgraded their quality so this one is at the top from the surrounding pizza shops. read more

There's a lot of great pizza in New York, Romano's is just kind of average. There are lots of different varieties to choose from, staff is very New York straight to the point and efficient, and they're open real late as in 5am on a Saturday...I tried a $4.50 gorgeous looking slice with red sauce, pesto, and vodka sauce...it was alright. The crust was a bit stale and dry, not the usual New York thin crust I've come to love. The vodka sauce nice, the red sauce was okay. The bruschetta vegan slice looked great, but didn't taste so great either. This place was near my hotel and made a decent snack after midnight, lots of drunk people doing the same...but if you're in pursuit of really good New York pizza, make the effort to go to one of the famous spots. read more

Another decent spot for a couple quick slices as I navigated the city. You basic NY style slice. Thin crust and decent quality. Nothing that should make you seek this place out, but if you're in NY navigating around and come across this spot its worth going in and giving it a shot. Plus, its one of the few spots I noticed that used Pepsi products. Not that Coke is bad, but I'm a Mtn. Dew man. read more

Romano's is sooo clutch. Late night pizza located around the block from my friend's apt? Sign me up. Not to mention the fresh slices they're pumping out at the wee hours of the night, friendly staff, and quick service. It may look like there's a line of people if you're just looking from the outside, but boy do they know how to move a line along. Super efficient and super clutch for a late night bite! read more

I stopped in here late at night to purchase two pizza pies for me and some coworkers. I called the order in and picked it up myself. When I arrived, my pizza was ready. The place was clean and small and appeared to be more of a take out spot. It was very busy on the weekend. The staff were working fast and very friendly. They gave me sufficient supplies to go with my two pies and my coworkers feasted. They were very pleased with the taste and we all agreed we would order from them again. I remember them being open fairly late since I work the overnight shift and picked the pies up before I went to work. This is a definitely a spot I would check out again. read more

The woman working there is rude, disrespectful, and is causing the owner to lose business. She will let the phone ring, and ring, and ring, then will pickup say one word I didn't understand, and then hung up the phone. She will answer, ask for the order, put the customer on hold mid order, keep customer on hold, then will pickup the phone and hang up the customer. read more

I had an absolute TERRIBLE experience at this pizzeria due to the staff's attitude. The person at the register was very aggressive and argumentative when I didn't know the actual name of the pizza I ordered, which was a slice of lasagna pizza. He was disgustingly condescending and weirdly ended every one of his sentence with a sarcastic 'thank you' and refused to let me speak. To make matters worse, he thought it was way more important to make his point by lecturing me for 10 minutes and hold up the line when there were 7 other people behind me trying to order as well. I couldn't believe he wouldn't just tell me the pizza's name and move on...it was absolutely ridiculous! By the time I left, I felt completed disgusted and lost my appetite. read more

Cold and rainy first Monday after daylight savings time means it's the perfect time to try out this "new" (sign says they've been serving New York since 1979 but new to this corner) pizza joint with bright lights you can see from a block away. As with all first time ventures into pizza places, ordered a classic cheese slice - if I don't like the plain slice, I usually don't like any of the other options - and decided to go with a vodka slice among the plethora of options. Excellent classic cheese slice. It's definitely an individual preference when it comes to tangy vs sweet ratio, and Romano's classic cheese slice hits my palate just right with that tinge of sweetness I like in my pizza. Vodka slice was delicious, albeit a tad oily. Service was excellent - quick, attentive, friendly. Plenty of seating. Clean, bright, and inviting. Very excited about this new addition to the neighborhood! Great prices, perfect sizes. Also, they open pretty late too! Win win win! read more

Got a spinach/pep pizza, garlic cheese bread, and a cannoli. By far the best I've had in a long time. Ordered delivery and it was here quick, fresh, and the guy delivering was super nice and friendly, plus a great bang for the buck. They should take off the Greek parts of their menu, let's stick with the Irish pub theme that my kin can remain proud of!!

I loved it so much that I'm making it my new Monday night spot where they do a $10 burger deal. The service here is amazing. Darren and Sean were behind the bar. These guys are legends. We are so thrilled that we ended up here. It was the perfect way to end our day. Cozy yet elevated pub atmosphere. Relaxing yet also fun. Great ambiance and good energy amongst staff and customers. There was a wonderful bartender and waiter (both from Ireland) working the night that we went. They were both delightfully witty. Playful banter with one another and with the customers which made our experience quite entertaining. Burgers and fries were DELICIOUS. Both cocktails I ordered were lovely and well made. 10/10 experience. I have already recommended it to friends who are planning a trip to NYC.

Wonderful service and decent pizza. I'm going out of my way to write this review because of a particular situation I had witnessed today. It shocked me to see the mistreatment the staff were receiving. There was a woman asking about the different pizzas in front of me in which the staff replied politely and efficiently obviously to keep the line moving, yet she started being very agressive and speaking incredibly nasty to the staff, but they handled it perfectly and didn't react in the way she wanted. I heard she was going to write a review so I'm writing my own. The staff deserve a raise for their patience and professionalism, never had a problem and are always very polite. read more
