PART 2- We finally get to Montego where they ruined my one luggage and I caught them going through my other!! We get on the shuttle to our resort to only find out they had 1 room for 3 people not 3 rooms for 9 people! Again, if Connie confirmed our plans she would have known this and fixed it before! We now had to wait for rooms that they put us temporarily in their tower. That was after 7pm for all rooms to be ready and we could not unpack since we were being moved the next day. Day one of getting there early to enjoy the day is gone. Thanks Connie.
I might add that the resort I chose, The Oasis at Sunset Beach was fabulous and the employees were great! Though Connie tried to talk me out of it.
The next day after my husband and I ran back and forth from the beach to the main office to check on rooms, they were finally ready after 5pm (no fault of the resort because they were going off of information given to them from the agency). Which they did show me the request screen which did not mention a room closer to the beach. The one major request I asked for and it was not mentioned! Did I mention that I used to work at the front desk at Resort's Casino so I know a little about hotel policies and procedures? So some of day 2 was screwed up as far as enjoying! Thanks Connie.
The next few days the hotel general manager Lorna worked with me to try to fix the luggage thing (the one issue Connie was not involved with) and the plane seats. As for the seats nothing could be done until the day before we leave. So now every day my mother in law is stressing! Over and over and over! The day before we leave I try to check in and again nothing so now I make an international call with international rates to Laura the owner of Roma! Needless to say she first agreed with me that everything should have been done and confirmed and even listened to Connie's voicemail. Once I said we should be reimbursed for our unforeseen expenses due to A lack of effort on Connie's part she (Laura) became condescending, rude and ignorant! All she kept saying was "everyone knows you must pay extra for seats!). So then why did I pay for ALL INCLUSIVE??? And why were some seats free? We went back and forth and I ended up paying extra for seats, international phone charges, breakfast my husband and I had to pay for because we could not eat the last day at the resort because we were dealing with screwed up agency stuff and ran out of time, airport food for my kids at the layover because they were starving and there were issues so we did not get home until 3 AM!! Keep in mind I initially had a nonstop flight!! All of this and MORE!! And now I am writing this today and neither Laura or Connie have called me to apologize or anything except Connie sent a personal check for $175! Really? She didn't even know what we paid for. She didn't even care. That is hush money that came from Connie not even Laura!! How about a gift certificate for future travel, how about asking what we paid out? So guess what, Laura. You have lost us as clients but more importantly you lost my mother in law that travels often through your so called agency!! read more
