Friendly staff. Staff helping another customer but greeted me and asked how she could help. The store is clean esp the rug which tends to look dirty in most establishments. There are about 8 people working and 11 customers. It's quiet and them process is moving quickly. I'm here for a duplicate license so u can at least have a paper document. A nice staff member announced the order of service to be provided which is quite thoughtful. She also apologized who again is very considerate. I needed a new Driver 's License Photo. When I went in the first thing you do is register with the receptionist desk. She asked to see my certificate from DMV. She gave me a number and pointed to a separate area for License photos. I was number 47. There were about 12-15 people ahead of me. There were two people at a desk up front, taking information and then taking photos. The line moved quickly, about 15-20 minutes. When it was my turn I was asked for my current driver's license n another form of ID. I had my passport. She approved everything. I had a Real ID star on my old license. She said if I still wanted that I would not be able to get my new license then n there. She explained it would be mailed to me in about 10-14 days. I agreed to that. She punched a hole in my old license and gave me a paper about having photo taken. She told me that it was not really a valid Driver's License but to keep it until I received the new one. She took three photos and showed them on a screen and told me to pick the one I wanted for new license. I did and thanked her and left. The entire process was very easy, well organized, and surprisingly pleasant. I was further surprised when I received my new Driver's License in 4 days! It was great! Psst...this AAA is also a PennDOT photo center, meaning if you have a "camera card" you can go there to get your new photo. You don't need to be an AAA member to go. Also that AAA staff are generally please take and helpful people. Even with the proliferation of GPS and online trip planners, AAA will still make you one of their legendary TripTiks! Did this you do need to be a member. It's a convenient and pleasant location with free angled parking in front and a free surface lot across the street. Highly recommend. read more

The absolute worst. First of all you just sit and wait for at least 45 minutes. Then the rudest person ever tells me that Penndot doesn't know what the they are talking about. Pat LaPera was my tag & title clerk and she could careless. I contacted Pa DMV and told them I never received my tag but my registration renewal had a different tag number. They explained I had been issued a new tag months ago and my tag on my car was dead. In order to fix it quickly, I needed to go to AAA and fill out MV50 and the tag would be replaced immediately. Ms LaPera said that DMV call center did not know what they were talking about and the intake people at the AAA offices didn't know what they were talking about either. I found her comments were very offensive, She basically said her colleagues didn't what they were doing. I insisted that she call DMV to check. So she called and I sat there and watched her doing paperwork for 15 minutes. I finally asked if we were on hold she matter of factly said yes. The lack of customer service skills and empathy was so annoying. She says that DMV told her the information was wrong. She also called someone at AAA and they told her I needed a new form from my doctor. So she finally said, just go get your doctor to sign a new form and she would process it today. I explained to her it was not that simple. My doctors office would take days to process the form. I left with the form for my physician to sign. It took a whole week for me to get a signed form back from the physician. I did not even bother going back to this office. I was only trying to get my license renewed. Barbara, an older senior than myself, was argumentative & rude. She was terribly commanding like a really bad mother. I asked for additional photos because something kept messing me up! Finally satisfied with the picture, I remarked how the quality of the license had changed from 4 years ago. Barbara insisted I HOLD IT THIS WAY UP TO THE LIGHT NOW!!!! because it was a holograph. I told her she wasn't giving me, the consumer, fair advantage. She was acting kinda left-over sudzy, really unbecoming for an older gal, and that she'd probably need to fill up her tank b/4 she crashed by the end of the day. At the end, AAA Barbara couldn't resist taking one of those mental lower nature peeps. More going on there than meets the eye. Came here with my brother on a Saturday at around 1:00pm to get our licenses renewed. Parking can be a bit tricky so I suggest parking in the large free lot across the street next to the fire station and just walking across the crosswalk to the shopping strip. There's not too many spaces in front on the AAA store. Thinking we would be fine coming in at that time as they close at 4:00pm on Saturdays, we were definitely wrong. Upon grabbing a number from the ticket machine, they proceeded to call number 619 (I was number 680 and my brother was 681....). After hearing that, we knew we were in for a long afternoon. We ended up waiting for about a little over an hour and a half before our numbers were called. Once we were called however, the process was very quick and the lady who helped me was very sweet and still had a smile and humor despite working since 8am. I'd say once my number was called, I received my new license in about 10 minutes. If you can get over the long wait on the weekends, the process is very quick and the staff at AAA in Ardmore is very friendly and helpful. I would just suggest finding time during the week when it wouldn't be quite as busy, unless the weekend is your only option then maybe the mornings would be quicker than the afternoon. read more

Very professional and quick staff. I showed up before they opened due to covid and not only was I in and out of the door in 10 mins tops but I only arrived 30 mins early and was the second in line. They took very good care to make sure every cdc guideline was followed with their staff and with the people coming in so you can rest assured they will try and keep you safe being in there. Think this is a short cut for changing your name on your drivers license? It's not. I thought I'd rather pay more money than waste my time waiting in line for the DMV, but there is more of wait with this process. I really thought I found a loop hole. I was convinced it was similar to the Rosemont PennDot location that closed a few years ago. I would go out of my way there because it was fast to renew my license and there was no line. So I attempted to call this location to make sure they do name changes for drivers licenses. I dealt with their automated system for too long and was on hold for too long. I figured a 20 minute ride to this location would be shorter. So I drove there with my marriage license and social security card that was changed, but I still had to come back. So I went back and I could properly do it, but I was told they would send my papers in and I would wait three weeks and someone would call me. I waited six weeks to be safe, but no call. I even gave a land line number for them to call just to be safe. So cell phones couldn't be to blame. Then I attempted to call, but then I couldn't reach a live person. I decided to drive 20 minutes again to hopefully get my license. I just think if you are paying extra for a service, shouldn't they have more staff answer questions on the phone? Plus I feel a little dumb for paying extra to be inconvenienced. I'm not blaming anyone that works there. In fact the staff worked super hard and were absolutely delightful. I love AAA and think it is an outstanding service. I think everyone should buy a membership. With the AAA in Ardmore I just get the vibe that they combined PennDot with AAA and only have half the employees. There was way too much volume for the amount of employees. Now that I'm going to change my address, I'm going to go to a regular DMV, with a book and just wait, like everyone else. If AAA could figure out how to make this process easier, they would make so much money. read more

The service here was quick and polite. My notary that I use was at his other job and I was in a pinch. The prices are a bit high if you are not a member. If you are lucky enough to be a member the prices are very reasonable. So just know that going in. The staff here was very friendly...but walk in with a membership if you plan on doing the notary services. In response to the comment from the owner. I can only speak for their Title and Tag services: My bf and I just moved to Philly from out of state and after getting our PA driver's licenses we needed to register our respective vehicles. I called around to a few tag/title places who were going to charge $200+ for one year of registration with the title transfer. I was shocked as per the DMV website the fee for title/registration/plates is about $100 so I knew the extra hundred was "service fees" these third parties are legally allowed to charge. A friend who lives here recommended I check out AAA. I had no clue they even offered this service and I'm a member so I called them. They quoted a price so much cheaper for members and evem non-members (my bf isn't a member). We both got our plates/registration and were in and out within 25min. I was amazed and Ms. Scott who helped us was so sweet and has great customer service. Glad I went with this AAA. They also have nice free coffee/tea and insurance specialists if that is something you need. The BEST experience I've ever had!! The FASTEST AND NICEST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I was in and out within 5 minutes for my drivers license photo renewal. I live in philly and the DMV in philly was so crowded that I was #798 in line and they were only on #200. It was pure insanity. Decided to try AAA in Ardmore and am so happy I did regardless of the reviews I read here. I had my camera card. Got a number, was second in line and had my photo and drivers license within 5 minutes!! Everyone was super nice!! I would highly recommend!! We came to this location along with the family who bought our car. We were there to change over the title and perform other transaction requirements. The women at the check in desk were welcoming and efficient, plus our wait for the title/tag agent took only minutes. That part was A-Plus. However, that changed when the agent suggested that we lie by declaring that the car was a gift - that no money had changed hands - so the buyer wouldn't have to pay PA sales tax. We felt pressured to do so by the agent, who said people do it all the time and no one would get in trouble. I was totally shocked by the whole experience. read more

My experience is limited to the driver's license photo services. All I needed was a new photo for my driver's license. I was fearing the worst, with huge lines. I went after work on a weekday, and there were only a couple other people there, so I was seen right away. The front desk person was cheerful and pointed out where I needed to go. The inside of the store is bright and new looking, and everyone I encountered was polite and professional. The lady taking the photos was very patient with my vanity in trying to get a good photo, and I was in and out in 5 minutes. I can't comment on any of their other services, but the only downside is limited parking directly in feint of the store, though there is a large parking lot across the street. Just be careful crossing the street because drivers often speed down there. Overall, a delightful (oddly enough) experience getting my new driver's license photo. Cheese! read more

One of the nicest AAA locations I've been too, with a bright inviting interior and efficient pleasant staff. I've been a AAA member for nearly ten years and I've always thought it was money well spent for the services they provide. Besides the obvious roadside assistance, their store locations provide a variety of convenient services for members. Most recently, I had to obtain a vehicle title, registration, and license plates. After an interesting DMV experience to obtain my license, it was a breath of fresh air walking into this AAA office. Everyone I dealt with was extremely courteous and professional, and I was in and out in under a half hour. Overall, it's worth it to be a Member, and if you aren't utilizing the stores for any of the additional services they provide you're missing out. This store in particular was extremely well run, and I'll definitely be back in the future. read more

Do not use their DOL Driver's Licence center. They didn't tell me until 40 minutes into it that they are a 3rd party and you have to pay $25 on top of the PennDOT fee AND come back 4-6 weeks later to get the actual license. I already had spent so much time there, I agreed. Then she charged me wrong and it took 10 more minutes to correct it. I went back the second time and THEY - AAA (Not me) made a mistake putting my address in and thus it was wrong on the license... AAA told me I would have to wait another week to 1 month to get the camera card corrected or go to a PennDOT center (which I was trying to avoid, the whole reason for doing it at AAA.) Also the PennDOT employees here are nice, the AAA employees are super rude as soon as they find out you are not buying a AAA membership- and they do sloppy work... they charged me wrong and put the address in wrong.. what did I pay $25 for? Would have been better to go to the PennDOT center and just wait a few hours and get it done right, the first time, by people who can correct their own mistakes. read more

my daughter lives in pa and we finally decided to transfer title, registration to penna. We live near Marlton NJ but decided to get this all done at the Ardmore location because when she called DMV, she ended up getting transferred to Ardmore by mistake. Turns out this was the best thing that could have happened to us. They were so helpful and nice on the phone ,we ended up driving the extra distance to get our paperwork done at this location. From the minute you walk in you are greeted professionally, not ignored. We ran into some issues because of paperwork we forgot but our "agent" Carmitta Myers was so professional and helpful if it wasn't for her we would have been back to the drawing board. Some locations you practically have to beg for help/information. The agent does the bare minimum and you have to know to ask the right questions to get the answer you need. Not with Ms. Myers, she knew we had no clue but took the time and had the patience to educate us. Because of PA's very antiquated system, it took a month to get a paper title for my car, but the staff here was friendly, explained everything, and were very helpful. They even corrected mistakes on my license made by staff at the DMV. I'm a member, but even if I weren't, I would (and will) use this service again. Was heading to this address today expecting to renew my license. According to a very confusing PennDot website, I saw this as a address/location to renew my license. I gathered all my required paperwork and when I got there, the door was not yet opened...we patiently waited outside and at exactly 8:29 they opened the door and when I entered I politely asked (as it was a AAA and a PennDot location combined, where do I go to renew my license - the counters for PennDot were tucked away to the left and AAA was the counter you first see). The woman from AAA responded, well we are technically not open yet...I replied, even for a question? By now of course it was 8:30 which is the time they officially open. Oh my goodness. Then an older woman loudly calls from the tucked away PennDot desks, 'Can I help you?'...Wow, this was not going to be pretty. In a very abrupt and rude manner she asked me what I needed and I said I wanted to renew my license. She said did I have a picture (something) and I said I had my license with a picture and she said that is not what I mean. Apparently, you have to go to a 'full service' DMV location, which is not very clear on the list of locations on the website and not very clear when you arrive at these partial service locations. Bottom line, they seem to receive these questions constantly and not very helpful in helping you navigate what for them is second nature but for someone who has not renewed a license in 4 years - a totally brand new experience. No one likes getting to a place only to be told they are in the wrong place, especially at 8:30 a.m. in the morning with no breakfast and a long day ahead of them. I spent almost an hour on-line the night before trying to figure out the best location but again, this is not the one for full service. Please be sure to search for the proper location and I suggest try calling to be sure you can do all you need at the place you select. Oh, the PennDot person said I could go the the AAA counter and they could do the paperwork. I did go back and of course to go through AAA this is an added fee of $25 to the renewal fee of $30. I know there are some services on-line but I'm also changing my name so I needed to go in person. But this was not the place for the 'full service' option. Sorry for the lengthy 'Yelp' but do not support either of these locations. Tough part, there are less and less locations apparently. Just felt like they were not happy with there role...and I was only the first (PennDot) and second customer (AAA) of the day. Geez. read more
