I got three wheels fixed here. They were crooked from all the pot holes in LA. I was promised by the mechanic Leo that I would have a warranty on each wheel. Okay, cool. German was rather nice to me every time he saw me at the shop. I liked everyone enough to keep coming every time one of my rims was dented. Though one thing that bothered me was that I noticed that when a wheel was ready for pick up, Leo the mechanic would call me over and over to get me to pick up my wheel. It wasn't just one call or two. It would be four to five within a short period of time. If I was a bit late by a few minutes, I'd start receiving the calls. The honeymoon ended when on the last trip to Rollo's, Leo the mechanic was checking my shocks. He noted that my brake pads needed to be replaced and he said I'll do them for you for free. FREE. Those are the words that came out of his mouth. "You can buy the brake pads and just bring them in and I'll do them for free." I was pleasantly surprised by this and I told him okay, but can I come next week? He said, "Sure. You can come anytime you want." Also, the business owed me five bucks because they didn't have change at the time I paid. Fast forward a week or two later and I decide to buy the brake pads for my Jetta at Auto Zone. I call Rollo's to see if I can make an arrangement. However, Leo doesn't pick up this time. The owner, German Leon, answers. I asked to speak to Leo and he tells me he doesn't know who Leo is. I explained what happened because the owner wanted to know the details. He was rather persistent in wanting to know why I called. "Instead of having you drive here, how about I just send you the money to keep you from driving over here." After hearing this, I decided to, knowing that it might be a bad idea, tell him that the reason why I wanted to pick up the money was because Leo also promised me that he'd instal the brake pads for free. No, sorry. German wasn't having that. "Sorry, I can't do that," he said. Irritated, I told him to discuss it with Leo. More things were said as I was upset that he was questioning me and telling me 'NO'. "Were you unhappy with the service? Is there something wrong with your wheel?" Really? Your mechanic promises me something and you're going to start questioning the customer? Why don't you question the mechanic who promised the customer before you start annoying/insulting me with your questions? To add insult to injury, I got a call back from Leo the mechanic a few moments later. It went something like this: Leo: Hi. Is this Francisco? Me: Yes. This is he. Leo: This is Leo from Rollo's Solutions. Me: Yes. Leo: Why did you tell German that I would do the brakes for free? I never work for free. I told you I would give you a discount. Me: That's not what you told me. Leo: I said I would give you a discount. Listen, you bought the brake pads already, right? Me: Yes. Leo: You're gonna have to take them to Pep Boys or something to get them installed. Me: Whatever. [end phone call] By this point, I'm feeling a bit defeated, so I give one last call to the owner to ask to see if he could mail me back the 5 bucks. German is in his car driving and still being polite and exuding that fake, professional business demeanour. I ask if they can send me the money and I tell him about the phone call I just had with Leo. "You know, I've gone to you guys to repair my wheels three times and the first two experiences were fine. I did not ask for Leon to offer to instal the brakes for free. But have to admit that I am totally offended by the way this situation has been handled. This is unacceptable. I had expected to continue coming to Rollo's Solutions to fix any other dented wheels, but am afraid I will have take my business elsewhere. My experience with your business has turned sour because of this and I will no longer be doing business with you." (Yes, I talk like a business person.) Well, that is my bad experience dealing with Rollo's Solutions. The bottom line: German did not offer to mend the business relatonship. Leo backed out of his promise (probably because he was scolded by German) and then declined to do any work on my Jetta. I have a box of brake pads in my car that I just bought and I have officially ended my business relationship with Rollo's Solutions. All over an empty promise offered by the cranky old mechanic. Final thoughts: The situation was not handled professionally. Rollo's Solutions lacks professionalism, so make sure to get everything in writing. I'm almost positive that they wouldn't even honour their warranty even if the wheel were dented by the warranty's end. Also, don't be fooled by German's friendly professional demeanour. It is all just for show and they really don't care about your business. At this point, I don't care about the five dollars really. You can keep the money, German. I hope the extra five dollars and the empty promise made by your grumpy mechanic was worth it. UPDATE: Never got the refund. read more

I have been coming to Rollo's Solution for the past few months due to my carelessness in driving around nasty LA streets with big rims. In fact, I think they know me by last name since they see my face quite often. German (the manager) provides excellent customer service and follow up, while Eduardo does a great job bringing the rim back to the original condition. In addition to an excellent quality of work, they charge some very competitive prices for wheel/rim repair. They also offer you the option to have the rim picked up from your home/office or dropped off at their warehouse in Downtown LA. If you have a bent, cracked or damaged rim, give them a call and let them evaluate the damage. I'm confident you'll be satisfied with the estimate he provides to you. As of the date on this review, I have had the following rims repaired with them: Two 26" Giovanna Wheels for my dodge ram. Ran over a huge ass pothole while going about 45 MPH (It was dark okaaaaaaaay) One 22" Vertini Hennessey rim for my 745i. I bent the same rim on two separate occasions. The price is comparable to other wheel repair shops in the area. The business is owned by German and his brother who runs the one in Texas. It's a small whole in the wall near South Central LA. There's no signage on the shop either. I would give them five stars, except for the fact that there are some arbitrary "fees" that German likes to add where he can. I was told that he would pick it up and drop if off, but it would be $65 each way, on top of the $125 quote to repair my wheel (it has a small hairline crack that needed to be fixed because it would leak air and deflate the tire). A little bit of negotiation and he offered to waive the fees because he wanted "what would make me walk away a satisfied customer." Another tire repair shop in No Ho offered to pick it up and drop it off for free as well, so I'm thinking that this should be included in the price. My wheel was a 19x9" AMG Mercedes wheel that was cracked on the inner side of the wheel. They fixed the crack and sprayed it over with something that can only be described as metallic spraypaint. It did not match the wheel at all, but this was of little concern for me because that side of the wheel would never be seen unless it was off the car (as I'm sure they were aware of this as well). His original quote was a wide range between $125 to $195, but I held him to the lowest, seeing that I only had a crack. Some other guy with a BMW 7 series was there with huge Maya 22's and a bent lip, and he was finally able to get them down to $135. Interestingly enough, at the time of this writing, they are not desperate for business. But call around and you will see that $100-$125 is about the going rate for wheel repair, regardless of the fact that its a small crack, to a bend on your deep dish 22's. They have wheels coming in and out the door, and I suspect it has something to do with the state of disrepair were seeing in and around the greater LA area combined with the massive proliferation of potholes during this rainy season. I know it's hard fixing wheels and all...but they took a month to repair my Rota Grid. Probably because they try to be perfectionists which is good, and they have a lot of work from people so they get busy. I should mention they left a spacer on my wheel hub when they put the spare on that lead to some other problems with my car. I should have brought it back right away but was pressed for time and always busy so my car was vibrating violently for a bit. They also wanted the same price or more for the repairs than the actual wheel's cost. I could have found a cheaper faster place for sure, but I talked them down slightly in price when I brought up this point, so they try to be fair. I will say the repairs looked like nothing ever happened to the wheel when I finally got it. They do damn good work...but make sure you have a decent spare in the meantime. Another cool thing was that they gave me a spare tire when my original one was flat. I have mixed feelings about this place definitely. Remember wheel repair in general may weaken your wheel's alloy and may lead to future vulnerability to damage. read more

So my first review on yelp and Rollo's Solutions gets to benefit! I hit a pothole at 50 miles per hour and damaged my front BBS RSII rim. I was looking for a place to fix my rim as i sure as hell was not going to pay another 800 bux to replace it. I found Rollo's Solutions on Yelp and it had gotten 3 very good reviews so I figured they couldn't ruin the rim any more than I had. Be forewarned that when you drive up - you will get that feeling deep down like maybe I should turn around and take my dead rim back home - this place was located in a warehouse type property in the not so good part of LA. However................. .....I went anyways and met German (pronounced Hermon - i think he's the owner) who was really nice and took good care of the rim - I got it back after 3-4 days looking like brand new and they did a great job fixing the rim and also polishing the lip to get the curb rashes out. The service was great and all the guys working here are really nice. I rate this place a solid 4.5 - the only reason it wasn't a solid 5 is because the prices are just a tad bit higher than some of the other places but they do a great job so maybe the extra cost is worth it. They also have tires and used tires if you need them - although seems like they're priced a bit higher than other places. read more

I was referred to Rollo's by my mechanic shop, British Eurotech. My husband bent two of the stainless steel trim on my wheels and the only way to fix them was to replace them - at $775 each. Everyone I spoke to, every wheel shop I went to, said they could do nothing about it. When I explained the damage to German (pronounced Hermann), he said no problem. They simply removed that portion from the wheels (on all four) and brought the aluminum to a high polish. They look brand new and it cost me no more for all four than it would have cost for the purchase of one new one. German came to my house, jacked up the car, took the wheels to his shop, fixed them within 4 days and brought them back. I couldn't ask for better service or craftsmanship! read more

I bought a used 335i convertible with sports pack and the wheels on the front had been refinished badly by the prev owner. Then I hit a nasty pothole and blew out two tires. Tire rack and pep boys install was the fastest solution only my wheels came back scratched and scuffed including the perfect condition back wheel. Not Happy... So there I was in Pep Boys talking to the manager when the lady parked next to me overheard and gave me her husbands card. Which led me to Rollo's Solutions. I checked Yelp first and saw the negative reviews which I thought seemed a little unreasonable personally, I also read about the location (glad I did) then called the owner and got my car set to go in. He was originally suggesting he would come and get the wheels but I liked the idea of dropping them off and getting some loaner wheels. When I got there I missed the ally and ended up in the next street with what looked to be homeless folks in lean to shelters, I almost turned around and left but as I said I had read about this so persevering I found the place and out walked Leon, what a character! In a good way.... he quickly jacked up the car, switched out the wheels, told me to ignore the tire pressure sensor warming (since the loaners were not equipped) and sent me on my way with the promise they would be ready the following Tuesday and they would call if there were any problems. Tuesday morning I got a call telling me they were ready, I drove over, Leon put the shiny perfect looking wheels back in, we settled up (just over $100 per wheel as agreed) and that was it. Done deal... Oh and Pep Boys agreed to pay for the wheel they scratched and damaged so it all worked out. I am very very happy and am now eyeing my truck wheels which although are in decent shape they have 10 years of use on them.... hmmmm :) read more

One day I was backing out of my drive way and rim vs gate door and gate door 1, rim 0. Left a nice scratches and a good gash on the rim. I have thought of getting myself another rim and used the damage rim as a spare but this model has been discontinued so i took a stab on repairing it. Did some searching around and found Rollo's Solutions and give it a try. This place is like a hole in the wall. no signs nothing to indicate where it is. Pretty much the only indication is tires stack up in from of its door. So found out that this place is not too far from where I live and decide to swing by and get a quote and what they can do for my rim. The first quote was $195 to repair the scratches, gash and repowder coat the rim. German even offer me to use a spare rim when I drop off my to be repaired. I decline the offer because since my car is all wheel drive I don't want to mess up the tire wear. Next day I drop off the rim to be repaired and the price drop to $175, Not bad and I'm not complaining. The turn around time is 2 days. Two days later I got a call from German saying that my rim is ready to pick up. Got to the shop German showed me my rim, it looks good as new. Upon closer inspection it seem like they grind down the metal, repowder coated and clear coated (clear coated is not all that great). But if you step back you wouldn't see that it had been repaired. read more

Awesome. Repaired a 20" Mazda CX-9 wheel with an inner lip bend. Would hold air but over time the tire wore unevenly. 1. Drove in. 2. They took my wheel off, mounted my spare, checked its pressure and sent me off saying my wheel would be ready tomorrow. (10 minutes at shop) 3. Came back the next day, they mounted my repaired wheel (using a torque wrench!) , remounted my spare, and I drove off. (10 minutes at shop) They even washed my spare before reinstalling it. I like the way they do business. Top rating from me. Awesome One thing. A little hard to find. No sign. South on Figueroa. I have a 2009 S550 with custom 22.9 MB Black and Alloy Wheels. Let's just say the potholes in LA are not very friendly to my ride. I went to the MB Dealer in Calabasas and besides the long wait they wasted no time trying to convince me the rim cannot be repaired... Ha! I left called German and he Personally drove out to my place the next day. 3 days later 2 new tires with overlap to prevent curb and pothole damage and rims that looked as if they just pulled them off the shelf brand new! German Leon, the manager was very friendly and helpful, and although I freaked out a bit once I realized the business is a small warehouse in an alley in South Central LA, we negotiated a price and the wheels were left in their care. The is the first review I have ever submitted on Yelp, and I am doing so as a public safety warning!!! Based on my experience with Rollo's Solutions, I am not exaggerating when I state that I would not ride in a car if I knew that its wheels had been serviced by this business, for fear of its structural integrity!!! My story: I have a set of chrome-plated steel wheels on my 1965 Porsche 912... alas one of them was warped, and so I took it Rollo's Solutions because they said they could remedy the problem. I was warned that my chrome may be impaired during the corrective process, which I was fine with since the chrome was not perfect to begin with. The 1st time, I picked up my wheel, the outer rim had obviously been banged into alignment with nothing more than hammer! There were giant, protruding tool marks all around the outside edge! When I pointed out that my wheel had been grossly bludgeoned, they reminded me that I had been warned of potential damage to my chrome. Damage to chrome, yes... but utter destruction to wheel, no. After a good deal of back and forth, Rollo's reluctantly conceded that their damage *might* have gone beyond mere impairment to chrome, but they still were not willing to accept full responsibility for what they had done. Finally, a compromise solution was reached: if I could source a new outer rim for my wheel, they would make the swap and replate the whole wheel. Luckily, I was able to source an outer rim (no easy task for a 1965 Porsche) which I brought to Rollo's, along with the wheel they had ruined, and after several months, it finally was ready to be picked up. The 2nd time I picked up my wheel, I must say, the new chrome looked nice, but guess what? These guys basically spot welded the new rim into place, and left it at that. You can actually see huge swaths of light beaming through the gap between the outer wheel and the hub. Thank GOD the rim is not remotely capable of making an airtight seal, because if it were, I would fear for its structural integrity! The wheel I trusted Rollo's with is one of 5 on my car, that are all date matched. As such, it would have been a travesty for me to lose this wheel, and thus I am happy at least happy to have it back in repairable condition, because this is more than I thought I would be walking away with at the lowest part of our interaction. The 3rd time I pick up my wheel, it will be from another business that is capable of repairing it correctly, and not these guys. People - please be warned - from the workmanship I have seen, you are literally taking your life into your hands when you ride on rims that have been "repaired" by Rollo's Solutions. First off I want to start by saying I got riipped-off...Something has gone horrifically wrong at Rollo...I'm saying this because about 3yrs ago I met German when I had his shop restore my 4-HRE wheels and they turned out great for $800.00 in cash O.T.D...However, the reason I've decided to write about them today is because back on September 15th I sent German a text message expressing my disappointment with the restoration job this second time around this passed August and hoped he would at least try to explain how the wheels with all the scratches and flaws got passed their Quality Control person Fred....Furthermore, with that being said, when the wheels were delivered and received by my guy over at Gage Auto Center it was pointed to German that the wheels were flawed and felt German should know about it, but he said nothing in response...True, this time around I only paid $450.00 cash, so I guess i got, what I paid for and I ended up paying Gage Auto. $200.00 to paint over the mess created by Rollo...However, that doesn't make it right and for German to have just blown me off only tells me I need to spread the news of this injustice to all those I've recommended Rollo Solutions to and share this story...I never plan to do any business with them again and I will steer anyone within earshot away from them also... Long story short, I had cracked wheels,bought some new ones, which were a different finish, so had to refinish all my wheels. German was very prompt in setting up a time to pick up the wheels. He came out, carefully put the car on jack stands, and off he went. 3 days later, I have 4 perfectly straightened 20" wheels, and he brilliantly matched a pretty complex brushed aluminium finish. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I recently contracted them to fix a slight dent in one wheel, and then refinish all of them to match. They left my car on jack stands for a week - and were horrible in communication. When I finally got my wheels returned - they were the wrong color - and the paint finish was not even close. Plus they lied about the finish - saying it was powder coated. I took the set to my body shop (That I have used for 15 years, and should have just gone with in the first place) and they had to strip the wheels as the paint was NOT powder coat, but rather looked like gray primer. Rolo's had the nerve to charge me 500.00 of the 695.00 quoted. On top of that - the bent wheel had NOT been fixed. I have half a mind to SUE - but for this amount its not worth it. Even after German KNEW it was a complete mess and offered to fix it - he took my money and to date (2 weeks later) has made no contact. I WANT MY MONEY BACK! So here I sit hoping noone goes thru what I did. BTW - I 've had 48 cars and am an avid customizer - so this transaction and service was total and utter BS. read more

I previously took my car to a place up in Norcal, hoping to get my wheels repair but it didn't go according to plan. They didn't fix the bends or scuffs and as furious as I was, still determined to find a reliable, credible place to have my wheels repair. I decided to take my car to Rollo's Solutions based on the recommendations from Yelpers. Plus, I checked out the company's website and seemed trustworthy and they're a big company. Their main location is in Texas but they also have a small location in Los Angeles. I called and German answered on the other end. I made an appointment to bring my car in. German was able to give me a quote over the phone and I was surprised to find out how inexpensive it was. It was cheaper than the place I took to in Norcal. Instead of fixing two, I decided to do all four. German offered to pick up the wheels from my house but I was unease about the whole process. Handing over my wheels to a complete stranger? I don't think so as my wheels are not cheap. As credible as the company may seem, there are a lot of shady people and businesses out there. And the last thing I want is to be a victim of a scam. I told him that I would come by the warehouse myself and possibly leave my car with them instead. He agreed and in actuality, I wanted to scope out the business and make sure it's legit. I stopped by Thursday and Leon approached to help me. He was quite friendly, nice, polite and very helpful. We worked out the contract and work orders. It was late during the day and they were super busy that day. Leon said to bring the car by Friday and I will have it back on Saturday. They would arrange all transportations for drop off and pickup. I was glad that they were able to accommodate my request. I got the car back on Saturday as promised and I was ecstatic. My wheels look brand new and it fixed the vibrations. I'm so happy that my car finally drives the way I wanted and all my problems were solved. I could've easily given it a 5 star but it took me about three weeks to receive my invoice. German keeps insisting that he emailed me each time I called. I gave him many opportunities to deliver his promised but I had enough. I decided to call the Texas location and they were able to handle it diligently. read more

I found a nail in my tire and found Rollo's on yelp. I called to ask if they could repair a tire, I could tell they were busy because it was hard to hear over the noise in the background. They called me back just to make sure I knew the pricing. Took it in same day, service was quick and friendly. The price was fair if they needed to seal and re-balance. Turns out it wasn't leaking when they pulled the nail, since it was at a diagonal. They didn't charge me a thing. Thanks German and folks! read more

I must say that my experience with Rollo's Solutions, was above and beyond the other places. i live in Ontario and traveled all the way to Los Angeles for my repair,it was well worth it. They guarantee and warranty there work. I did not get this at the other places. the workmanship was great. The work looks like the take care in there repairs. I hit a pothole on Aviation Blvd outside LAX on Tuesday night, blowing my right front tire and denting the rim. The Pep Boys near DTLA suggested Rollo's to repair the rim. Both Steve, who picked up the rim, and German, who returned it to Pep Boys for them to put on the new tires, were helpful, straightforward and friendly. The cost ($185) was vastly preferable to buying a new Acura rim. Not only that, they turned the rim around in 24 hours -- nearly 48 hours earlier than they were able to promise due to their workload. My car was back in 100% working order much faster than expected. German and his crew are fantastic! read more

Through a crazy set of circumstances, one of my BMW wheels wound up under a truck getting gouged, scratched and just plain uglified. I was convinced that I would have to replace it, but I fortunately found Herman (the extremely pleasant and personable owner) and his fantastic team of gentlemen at Rollo's Solutions on the interwebs. They're a little tricky to find, with their alley entrance. But, they fixed my wheel, making it look like brand new at a FRACTION of the cost of a new wheel, and they did it within about 48 hours. Herman even sourced a new tire for me and went to pick it up from their warehouse himself just to get the entire order in on time. Herman even offered me a small discount for my business. I LOVED the service I got from this place. I ran over a curve a bit too fast and bent the wheel of my Jeep Grand Cherokee. I looked around for a wheel repair because a replacement was too much for my 8 year old Jeep. I found reviews on twitter and facebook and learned they're an established business based in Texas. I was impressed with what I read. I called German (see contact info) - who runs the family's business here in L.A., and he responded to my needs right away. EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL and POLITE!!! He gave me an estimate over the phone. He even offered to come pick up my wheel (a Saturday), replace it with the spare and drive it away to fix it. It was pouring rain that day so I took him up on this offer. My wheel was back 4 days later (no work on Sundays). By the exact time he said it would be delivered. German brought it back in his own car because the delivery truck was not available. He replaced my wheel back on the car. The wheel was WOW - amazingly perfect. I couldn't tell where the damage was (and I'm extremely detail oriented). GREAT, GREAT, GREAT SERVICE. I hope not to ever need them again, but if I do I'm ONLY GOING TO ROLLO'S. read more

I thought the bottom of my Volvo C-70 was laying on the pavement but that wasn't the case. The front wheels looked like the peeled edge of an open soup can. With a little research, Rollo's (and German Leon, professional with personality) seemed to be the answer. New wheels are $850 each, a "Tires Only" place needed $300 and come to find out, they send them to repair shops like Rollo's. I called German, he came to my work, removed my wheels, installed appropriate loaners, repaired my wheels -- (I went to San Francisco for 2 days) -- returned to my place of business and re-installed my wheels at 7:00 at night -- in the rain. The work is perfect -- my wheels look showroom new. There is a charge for "house calls" but the nominal fee is well worth it. My phone research indicated their pricing to be competitive, perhaps 10% to 15% more than the competition. HOWEVER -- with German and Rollo's Solutions, I absolutely beleive that I got much more than I paid for. Rollo's Rocks! I saw their truck driving around La Brea and called to find out about refinishing my rims that I scratched on curbs. I emailed photos and German quoted me a fair price. They have convenient hours, so I took in my Scion XB and they gave me loaner rims at no charge. Both of my trips to the shop took less than an hour. They did exactly what they promised, which always makes a tough customer like me happy. The 3 rims they re-surfaced look brand new and match my 4th untreated rim perfectly. Another great thing is that everyone was extremely friendly, and very helpful. When an entire staff goes out of their way to be courteous, I know it's a well-run organization and the owners great attitude isn't some marketing front. Rollo's is a rare find in a business full of money laundering clowns. This is a viable solution to keep your car looking great without dropping a lot of cash. I can't say enough good things about these guys. I expect they will open more locations in time because they do a great job and everybody in L.A. has hot wheels they want to keep looking great. My wheel was repaired twice with these guys. It took 2 weeks each repaire and the wheel was good for only two months. After two months it started leaking air. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Let me tell you the story after repaire from there shop my wheels went bad and starting leaking air and damaging my tire. This all happened on the free way with my 2 year old cousin in the car i made a police reporet i was going to die and kill somone during that disater.I was lucky the freeway did not have alot of traffic and cars stoped for me. My car way towed to a body shop and spare wheel was put on my wheel. next day i took the wheel to them and told them the story i was frustrated of course my 2 year old cousin her mother and i were about to die. They refused to take a look at it they gave the wheel back to me. I was acsually relieved that they did not take it back, because next time somthing like that happpened i might have not came out alive . What i am trying to say is that this guys lied and took my money with out doing a permanent repair it was like a temporary repaire. They do not do a good job i would give them no stars. I am a big believer of karma and i know somehow someway they will get punished for what they did to me. With great disapointment towards leo and the the guy who those all the magic you know your name. I went with this place because of everyone who had a great experience, I am happy for all who did get great service. I unfortunately did nit get good service. My 2 22 inch D centi wheels got picked up by german Leon, he seemed like a nice man when he came t9 get them. Well 2 days later I get my rims back with the pot hole dents repaired. I seen that some people here on yelp said their wheels looked new but mines did not, you can tell where the repair was done and my rims came back dirty and one of them even came back with several scrapes on the edges of the center cap location. I made a youtube video called "rollos solutions wheel repair" if you can check it out from a real customers point of view. I contacted herman and all of a sudden I get a voice mail inbox to leave a message. So I did but never got called back. The repair cost plus a used spare tire replacement was $493.00 my wheels total cost with tires was $1679.00 so I was hoping to get a great deal but I didnt. I will never trust german leon with any if my wheels again. Dude even tried to charge me a $65 dolla pick up fee that he never mention to me on the call but all of a sudden he wanted ti bill me more cash specially when he seen that I lived in a nice big house in a nice area and drove a nice car, dude just wanted to rob me for cash, I told him no im not paying that. If he would have mentioned that to me from the beginning I would have gone else where. He then changed his tone of voice and his mind and said he will wave the fee.
