We could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. The owner, John, made the entire process easy and guided us with all of our choices with the music and order of events. For the day of our wedding we had DJ Chuck. We had a phone call with Chuck a couple days prior to go through any questions or suggestions. He read the crowd incredibly well and everyone had a great time. We gave him only a handful of songs we knew we would want played and he knew how to handle the rest. He received so many compliments at the end of the night, the dance floor was full all night. I can't recommend Rolling Sounds and Chuck enough. Having such an experienced DJ made our wedding go by so smoothly. read more

We had the most excellent and memorable experience hiring rolling sounds to do my daughter's birthday party. It was an unforgettable experience thoroughly delivered by John Garand. He not only engaged the crowd. He created an upbeat and happy environment that I am sure the kids and their parents cannot forget. Looking for an unforgettable party experience do not hesitate hiring rolling sounds, they are professional and will make your party unforgettable. read more

STOP LOOKING FOR AN ENTERTAINMENT VENDOR. ROLLING SOUNDS is it ! John is a seasoned professional with his priority on entertaining the crowd, and he did not disappoint. ROLLING SOUNDS provided DJ, photography and videography services for my son's wedding reception. ROLLING SOUNDS is your one-stop shop for all 3 services. From planning the music to the day-of details, it was effortless. A word not associated with planning a wedding reception. The reception was at Four Rivers in Channahon. It's an educational center, but the up lighting John placed around the room transformed it into a fun party setting. ROLLING SOUNDS will always be my choice for entertainment. You will regret not booking ROLLING SOUNDS for your event. read more

What an amazing experience. John was absolutely amazing to work with, and made the process extremely easy. He was very clear and helpful the entire time, and wanted to make sure we had the best experience possible. From the beginning, you could tell he knew what he was doing, and was very high energy. Everyone was on the dancefloor the entire time, and he knew exactly when to go from upbeat, to the slow songs, back to the upbeat. His uplighting was exactly what we wanted, and we could choose whatever color we wanted. If you want your guests to have a great time, go with John, everyone will have a blast! read more

John was amazing! My husband and I were frantically searching for speaker rentals for our wedding (which was a week away) and came across Rolling Sounds. John immediately swept in to save the day. He was very communicative and was able to work with our DJ without a hitch. He was able to set the speakers up and take them down after the wedding. We are very appreciative! read more

John and his associates were beyond perfect. He was patient and guided us through the events of the day, giving his input on what he thought would work and what may not based on his experiences. But, he definitely made sure that the evening was fun and all about us and celebrating the start of our life together. I cannot sing his praises enough. We had a long list of DJs we were going to vet for our reception, but after one meeting with John, we were sold! BOOK HIM NOW!!! XOXO 4/21/2018 read more

Rolling Sounds was recommended to us from multiple friends and family, and I am so happy we chose to work with them for our wedding. John was amazing when it came to planning our day and the database they use made it so easy! Billy was our DJ and he did an absolutely fantastic job of reading the dance floor- the entire party was dancing the whole night. Josh was our videographer and he was so much fun to work with- had everyone laughing and smiling. Lastly, we utilized their photobooth service. Matthew was responsive, quick to set up, and extremely professional. 10/10 recommend Rolling Sounds! read more

I wrote a review after my son's wedding back in September 2019. John says I I am lying. That is a lot of stuff to be lying about. The drinking, the calling the boys gay, the not introducing the people right. Wow. The owner of rolling sounds just responded to that review today falsely. He stated that I asked for a refund I never asked for a refund ever. I complained about him having one job to do and that was introducing the bride and groom's name correct also the introduction of the groom's best man was incorrect amongst many other incorrect. I have already listed my complaints. I never asked for my money back ever. I have witnesses that were there when he was yelling at me very immaturely and unprofessionally. My final response was I wasn't going to tip him, number one because he's the owner of the company you don't tip an owner and number two because of his poor quality of music and his mistakes that he made end of story. I do not recommend this company to anyone He totally sucks. He's old and washed up. Everyone complained about his choice of music. Again he is lying I never asked for a refund. I did tell him he was way over priced. Good luck if you choose him. Again he sucks. Oh and he never spoke with my son or daughter-n-law. And they never said it was ok. In fact they asked me to leave a bad review. He is correct about one thing and that is I wanted to leave abad review so everyone can see how bad he is. My daughter-n-laws friends should have also left reviews stating their opinion on his poor performance as well Good luck John you suck. read more

Working with John and Rolling Sounds was a great experience all around. John was able to give us his expert advice from very early on in our wedding planning stages and was extremely responsive. During the wedding they did a great job playing music and made sure all of the entertainment was taken care of. After the reception we received a ton of feedback from guests on how great our DJ was. We would 100% work with John and his team at Rolling Sounds again and recommend them to anyone planning a wedding or other event needing entertainment. -Mark & MK read more

It was an amazing experience to work with John and his assistant Isaiah. My family helped me plan my wedding and right away told me he was their top pick. After talking with him on the phone it was clear why: tons of experience, extremely helpful, and one of the kindest people I have had the pleasure talking to. I lived in Indianapolis when we were planning our wedding and John went out of his way to accommodate us. He explained everything on the phone, walked us through his website, and gave us great advice on how to tackle to big task of picking our music. Meeting him in person to discuss our timeline and music was also a delight and you could just tell he was genuine in wanting our big day to go well. During the wedding introductions he made sure to review everyone's name pronunciation, he accommodated last minute changes to the schedule such as an impromptu speech and blessing, and kept my husband and I on track to hit the highlights of the evening. Our venue was running a little behind, but John made sure everything kept moving and nothing was left out or rushed. Everything sounded amazing even though we had an odd shaped room that made speaker set up slightly difficult, and the uplighting we chose in amber really made the room shine. John and Isaiah truly made the evening. I will definitely be using them for my future events and am highly recommending them to my family and friends! read more

We just celebrated a milestone birthday and needed a DJ who could keep a very diverse group happy. John and Rolling Sounds did just that. Our group ranged in age from 2 to 74 years and we needed a mix of English and Latin music. Our group was thrilled with his choices and he kept everyone dancing and enjoying themselves. We received many compliments on the music. Also John worked with us to coordinate a smooth flowing program for the evening. He made suggestions to enhance the party that I hadn't thought of. He even noticed that the venue had not set up a gift table and he contacted the manager and had one set up. Our party was a great success! Thanks John. read more

This place is great! We were out a D.J. a week before our wedding. In panic mode, I looked through my bridal expo bags for D.J. flyers. I set up 3 appointments for 3 different DJ companies, one being Rolling Sounds Entertainment. Rolling Sounds was our first appointment and after that appointment we did not need to look any further. John the Entertainment Director was so helpful and accommodating for our big time constraint. We didn't have much of a play list and he offered some great suggestions along with a reception agenda for us to modify and finalize. It was comforting to go to a vendor that has been in business for years and definitely knows what they're doing. Rolling Sounds Entertainment not only offers Disc Jockeys but also Room Lighting and Light Shows. We had such a cute wedding spotlight along with the amazing entertainment. We received so many compliments on the DJ and the music. It's definitely true that the DJ can make or break the wedding reception. I have nothing but positive things to say about Rolling Sounds Entertainment, and am so appreciative that the director was so helpful for a couple that was out a DJ a week before the wedding. read more

JOHN IS THE MAN!!!! We knew from our very first consultation that he was the perfect fit for our starry night wedding. He was so upbeat and excited. It honestly was the best decision we ever made. We were able to customize our ceremony and reception exactly how we wanted it, and the best part was that he was honest and truthful if he felt the song wouldn't fit the moment. You need to hear those things and I'm glad he was able to voice his opinion. That's something you won't find anywhere. John was felixible, and always in a wonderful mood. He was able to incorporate music that went along with our theme...awesome as hell!!!! He gave us an outline of our ceremony and reception. Nothing was random, everything was planned out accordingly. He had so many fun ideas, and they made our night entertaining. We danced ALL NIGHT LONG! The dance floor was never empty. Many many thanks to John Garand and the Rolling Sounds Team! WE LOVE YOU!!!! read more

My Husband and I went and interviewed over 10 DJs and John from Rolling Sounds was by far the Best! You work with your specific DJ and he actually listens to what you want and helps customize your big day. We had 3 meetings and comunicated over the phone and email, not only did he respond in an appropriate time frame but all of the information and resources provided for planning are organized and through. We used Rolling sounds for both ceremony and reception and everything went just as planned. Our guests could hear our ceremony and he did a wonderful job tying in the music. For our reception our dance floor was never empty. My Husband and I are both music enthusiasts and he was not only able to please us with his variety but also our guests who ages ranged from 14-85. His Emcee ablities were profesional and friendly not corny or obnoxious. His additional services are by far the most affordable of all the DJs we interviewed, we used the facade and it was sharp. He showed up with plenty of set up time and was even prepared for a change of location due to weather. Hands down recommend Rolling Sounds to EVERYONE! By far my favorite vendor from our wedding, does a fantastic job, John also hosts a bridal show in the tinley park area as well! Carm & Devin read more

My new husband and I cannot thank John and Rolling Sounds enough! We met with John back in April 2016 after meeting with our photographers, and right after that initial meeting with him, I became extremely excited to work with him for our wedding day in August 2017. About two months before the wedding, John helped us customize our ceremony music and special dances music. He gave great advice on how the timeline would work, and it was so nice to just trust in him and know that the ceremony and reception timeline would all be taken care of by him. We also hired John to come to our rehearsal, and I'm so happy he did. He gave great advice, and I felt a huge relief to do a run-through with him before our big day. The day of our wedding, he made sure all of the timing was right for our ceremony. He made sure to help us with the timing for our special dances, and even helped us surprise the winners of the anniversary dance with a gift (my grandparents ended up winning with 60 years married in the books; the idea of surprising them with a gift made my grandmother cry tears of happiness!) I'm sure other brides have worried during their planning processes that the dance floor may be empty, especially since it's completely out of the couple's control. With John and his team, our dance floor was packed from the time the floor opened until our reception ended. We had nothing but compliments from all our guests about the music and how much fun they had, and we owe it all to Rolling Sounds. I will forever remember how they made our day as amazing as it was and will continue to refer them to anyone else who is in need of a DJ! read more

"Best Wedding I've Been To". These are the comments we are still getting about our wedding. John was amazing, the dance floor was packed all night. And he was so good about helping me with tips and tricks to make the day go more smoothly for me, he kept me calm and assured me that we had things under control. His company is the best at what they do and I would never go to anyone else. You want a party everyone will remember you have to have them there. read more

My wife & I used Rolling Sounds for our wedding DJ, MC, and Photo Booth and could not have been happier with our decision. Music was probably the most important part of our day, and they delivered. John (owner) was outstanding - he's incredibly kind and extremely passionate about his profession. During our first meeting, John listened to our vision and the laid out all of our options. We had to postpone our wedding due to covid and he made the process easy (no extra payments, price changes, etc), which gave us a lot of piece of mind that we were working with a good company. My wife & I spent months building what we thought would be the 'perfect' list of songs for our wedding. During our final planning meeting, John told us that he'd play whatever we wanted, but that he'd also look at our list of songs and give us honest feedback based on his deep experience doing weddings. We ended up going with a lot of his recommendations and when our wedding day finally came, everything was flawless - perfect job MCing to make sure all events flowed smoothly (it was almost like we had a real-time reception coordinator), packed dance floor all night, a line at our photo booth, etc... People enjoyed the music at our wedding so much that we ended up working with John to buildout the list of songs from our reception on Spotify so that we could send it to our guests, because we were getting so many requests for the playlist! There is a reason that Rolling Sounds Entertainment was listed as a preferred vendor at almost every wedding venue we looked at. They're affordable, easy to work with, knowledgeable, and most importantly - they simply care about the couples. A lot of companies would have taken our song list and just hit play without any questions asked, but John went the extra mile to give advice & direction...not because it's his job,but because he cares. It speaks volumes to the business he runs.  If you're having a wedding and are in search of DJ, MC, uplighting, or photo booth services, you'd really be hard pressed to find a better all around situation than Rolling Sounds Entertainment - thanks for everything! read more

John and his sidekick Mark did an EXCELLENT job at our wedding this weekend! The were a pleasure to work with and John took the time to communicate about all of our song suggestions and ideas. Their lighting was perfect and the playlist was flawless. They had to compete against a GORGEOUS Lake Michigan post-thunderstorm sunset and an enticing, cool outdoor patio and they won because they kept the dance floor flowing and full all night. Couldn't have been happier with the way our wedding turned out and they were a huge part of it. THANK YOU!! read more

We could not have asked for a better DJ. John really works hard to help you customize your big day and think through every detail. He brought up things we did not even consider and helped to work through every detail needed for the day to run smoothly. I am so grateful to have had John DJ at our wedding on 9/17/16. He truly has a passion for what he does and it shows. The reception ran extremely smooth and he kept the party going through the entire night. John was the DJ for our November 10, 2012 wedding. We met John at a bridal show in Tinley Park and set up a meeting with him right away. Right away, John blew us away with his professionalism, experience & knowledge. I highly recommend spending the extra money on the lighting that he has available. The lighting was the talk of the wedding! We have received so many compliments on it. It was absolutely beautiful & made all the difference at our wedding! He also kept the dance floor packed all night & was a great MC! Family members that I have never seen dance before were out there dancing! Rolling Sounds was the one vendor we booked that I knew I never had to worry about. We were always able to get a hold of him and he was always able to answer any questions immediately. I highly recommend booking John & Rolling Sounds for your wedding! He will go above and beyond your expectations! read more

We had a great experience with Rolling Sounds and our DJ, John. We wanted to have the best entertainment for guests and wanted to work with someone who listened and understood us. John was just that! We recommended a Frank Sinatra singer who was absolutely out of this world. Our guests were blown away by his recommendation. John was in contact with us 8 months before the wedding and was very attentive to all our emails. He came through with ALL our requests for the music and entertainment. Huge shout out to Rolling Sounds, we will be recommending to everyone! read more

John was amazing. He DJ my wedding and I can't say enough good things about him. Since the wedding I have had several compliments on him. He kept the party alive, he was professional and he kept the Dance Floor packed. If a song wasn't working out he would quickly fade it out to play another. He was great on the mic but didnt crave attention like I have seen other DJ's do. We also got up lighting from John in the room looks amazing, it made it pop. We paid a little extra for John than other places but your DJ makes the whole wedding and he was worth it. read more

We used Rolling Sounds for our wedding on 1/23/16 and the were absolutely awesome. The owner, John, met with me the first time for about 2 hours and was very personable, detailed and helpful. He met with us again before the wedding and was extremely organized. He went over every last detail with us and thought of things I didn't even consider. He made sure our dj Kevin was well informed with everything we wanted. Kevin was a huge hit at our wedding. He was high energy, made crowd laugh and kept everyone dancing the entire time. I had many people ask and comment on where Kevin was from and how great of a job he did. He also did an awesome job of keeping us on schedule and tracking me and my husband down when needed. We would recommend this company to anyone. 5 stars to John and Kevin! read more

We accidentally landed upon Rolling Sounds while we were waiting to meet with the photographer. John kept us company and started explaining his company. He was fantastic and very honest about what works and what does not. On the day of the wedding, John was there and made sure everything was perfect from his set up to having the wait staff re mop the sticky dance floor before guests arrived. He took our ideas and made them into a perfect reality. People have commented how great the music was and no one ever left the dance floor! John is also very flexible as we kept changing our minds and he worked with us and the price is great too. read more

John at Rolling Sounds handled our wedding at Georgios 5/19/17. From the initial contact with him, we were impressed with his professionalism and the website and music database's quality. John and Rolling Sounds were a fantastic company to work with. Working with John made the entire song selection and itinerary set up so much easier - it is very evident from early on that John is a true professional, and he helps make everything easier every step of the way. The quality of equipment John uses is amazing, and the sound was fantastic. Our dance floor was packed the whole night, and we are still getting compliments about John and the music months after our wedding took place. John allows you to select as much music as you want, and fills in the rest of the songs with whatever he feels is working best with the crowd and the mood. We would recommend John 100%. read more

Out of all of our vendors, Rolling Sounds Entertaining was the best choice we made. When I say John knows what he is talking about, he knows what he is talking about! He has a guideline that he has been perfecting since day one to help couples navigate the wedding timeline and it is very thorough! It helped that our venue was at Silver Lake Country Club and he KNOWS that place like the back of his hands. On the wedding day, John and Isaiah (sidekick) rocked the music. Just like every other review, I can confirm, the dance floor was barely empty. Even until the last song, guests were still dancing. John does a great job incorporating songs that are not only hip for the young folks, but also classic for the older parents & grandparents. John was also the only one that approached me and said "I saw you taking care of everyone else, but what about yourself, can I get you a drink?" which was so thoughtful! Our DJ John was fabulous, he sat with us two times before our wedding to go over all the details and the agenda to ensure that everything went smoothly. He gave us some wonderful suggestions as well as honest feedback on some of the ideas that we had come up with. The night of the wedding everything went as planned because of John. The music was fantastic and everyone told us how great the music was, John was extremely good at reading the crowd to get them on the dance floor. Couldn't have asked for anything more. John the owner is amazing, great personality. I probably drove him crazy with all of my emails and text but I wanted my day to be perfect. The DJ Tim, he provided was a really nice and a down to earth guy. I didn't give 5 stars because, Tim missed the queue for our recessional song to begin, so we stood there at the alter looking around for awhile waiting for a song to start so that we could walk off. Also, the bridal party introduction song for the reception was wrong, so it made it look a bit unorganized, as I gave a list of specific songs to be played and when. My husbands lapel mic wasn't working so the audience couldn't hear the vows and we were supposed to have a stand alone mic, so that a poem was read, it wasn't provided, so my poem reader had to try and speak loudly to be heard, we were refunded for the mics, but the moment was ruined. But other than that, Tim's personality was awesome. read more

Prior to committing to Rolling sounds I had met with 1 other DJ. No one I have met is as organized as John was. John was on top of everything. He had the whole wedding day planned for me from the start of the ceremony to the very last song of the night. I met with John a few times to make sure I got everything I wanted. He helped keep other vendors on schedule as well with his printed daily plan. My husband and I only picked maybe 10 song we wanted to hear and left it up to him. He kept the party going all night. He made great song selections. I got many compliments from guests saying the music was great with a wide variety. I also did get the up lighting with my package. John, the owner of Rolling Sounds Entertainment, did a fantastic job DJing my wedding. He did the ceremony and the reception, along with the photo booth and light towers. Everything was great! John was easy to work with, and respected my and my husband's wishes for our vision of our ceremony and wedding. He played every song we requested and added similar songs that we also enjoyed. I really liked that we went over all the songs selected for the ceremony and bridal party entry at the final meeting, even the timing that they should begin. It went seamlessly. Additionally, my husband and I were looking for a DJ who could read crowds well and get people up, dancing, and excited. John did just this -- our guests were dancing all night! John has been at my venue numerous times (Silver Lake Country Club in Orland Park), so I had the benefit of his familiarity. The photo booth was a big hit too! John's daughter ran it, and did an awesome job inviting guests in and making a memorable photo book. My experience was so positive with John! read more
