I booked Above and Beyond Quality Entertainment for my 80s prom-themed wedding reception and there is no way I could be more pleased with my experience, from start to finish. My only real guidance to the DJ was "just play only 80s, the good stuff" and he watched the crowd to see what had more appeal, then played more stuff like it. I was so grateful for that. The music was awesome. His setup was so professional and a beautiful addition to the decor of our space. He was dressed in a suit, which was a nice and classy touch. The photo booth was a huge hit, with a whole table full of cheesy 80s props provided! The photos come out as strips, and the guests didn't have to pay. They could take as many as they wanted in the time available. You know what really sealed the experience for me though? In the weeks leading up to our reception, if I had a question for him or was in general starting to feel anxiety about everything going off smoothly, I was able to reach him by phone immediately, no screening or phone tag. He answered emails immediately as well, even if it was later in the evening. For a larger event with a huge amount of importance to it, that was worth gold to me. I was able to be at ease and know that it was handled. You won't be disappointed if you choose Alfonso. The name says it all. Alfonso goes Above and Beyond!!! Our original choice for a DJ was going to charge us over $2000!!! Al saved us over $1000 bucks easy! We had wanted a DJ for Ceremony and the Reception. He always kept us informed as to what was going on. I got married in Kildeer, IL and I live in Boystown in Chicago. Plus I don't drive. So you can imagine how scared I was to find someone who could meet me in Chicago and do the event in Kildeer. We met with Al a couple times but emailed each other frequently. He responds quicker than anyone else. Me and my husband, (that feels weird lol) have very different tastes in music. I'm Mexican and enjoy Norteñas, Corridos, Bachata, and Dance music. He is Irish American and enjoys Rock in all shapes and forms. And our guests like even more different music! Needless to say I was worried about finding a happy medium between the 3. He did it. He threw in the photo booth as well. We wanted it so bad but couldn't afford it. Alfonso told me the day of the wedding, "I have a surprise....where do I set up the photo booth?" He made my day!!! There were props and sombreros everywhere!!! The photobooth was a hit!!! We all had a good time and my brother is getting married hopefully soon. I'm recommending Above and Beyond. We had a great time creating my daughter's quinceañera but theres always some stuff or oversights you just seem to pick forget. Beyond quality entertainment was able to pick up the pieces we forgot and provided an overall great experience for our guests. Florencio/Emcee, work well with our dance coordinator to make sure the timing of lights, music and announcements were right on schedule. Mario/Fog and sparklers/DJ, did a great job mixing a music to our specifications before the dance in coordinating the look and feel of our hall. Sisco/Photo Booth Attendant, was able to provide a walk to my guests to all those that came to the photo booth. He was even able to extend the time beyond our a lot of slots to provide an experience for everyone there to enjoy while they were all having fun and being preoccupied with going to the booth. Of course we got the hora loca. Ricardo played the robot very well and engaging all of our guests onto the dance floor. Coordination was great The species we were able to reinvigorate our guests to continue dancing on the dance floor. It's this level of service that we did not expect from beyond entertainments. You're glad they were able to provide us direction We needed to make our daughters quinceañera and enjoyable experience. I'll be calling them next time I need a party, that's for sure. read more

We hired Al on short notice to provide Karaoke and DJ services for our corporate recognition banquet last week. He and his team, as well as his equipment and performance, were all top notch and just what we were looking for. His equipment did the trick to accommodate a group of 90+ people from all over the country, and he did a fantastic job of keeping our group engaged. He had every song our diverse group requested! He jumped in with DJ services every time there was a lull in the karaoke activity, and kept a good flow of audience participation going, both with singing and dancing. He also provided great background ambience during the more quiet cocktail and dinner hour to begin the evening. He also assisted with our awards and video presentation portion of the evening. I hired Above & Beyond Quality Entertainment for my Husband's 60th Oktoberfest Birthday. Their name truly says it all. Alfonso and his helpers were very professional. They came early to set up, they knew what had to be done since I was busy preparing for the party. Al does an excellent job with "reading" the crowd. We had guests ranging from teenagers to older adults. He provided a mix of Oktoberfest music and songs from 70's to current music to keep the guests dancing. He even had a song to accomodate our guest who performed an Irish jig. Alfonso generously provided us with a personalized digital photo booth that his helpers handled. We used Above and Beyond Quality Entertainment for our elementary school Fall Festival, and they were awesome! We had a DJ with glow in the dark accessories and a photo booth with props. They were professional, easy to work with, and the kids and parents had a blast. They truly did go above and beyond when one of our inflatable houses from another company started to deflate right before the festival started. The DJ came outside and helped us find the root of the problem and inflate it again. He had no reason to help us with this since he had other work to attend to, and the bouncy house was not from his company. Above and Beyond Entertainment was used for our High School Homecoming Dance this year, and they were phenomenal. This was my first year planning a Homecoming Dance, and Alfonso helped me greatly. Alfonso was always consistent in answering his email and never left my emails hanging for more than an hour. The day of the event, Alfonso was on time and made ample time to set up. I Had a bit of an issue with the songs requested versus the songs that played. My personal recommendation is sit down with the DJ if possible. Emails and texts messages don't seem to get the importance of certain songs that you want across. What really made the whole experience better for me was at least my guests were 100% satisfied with the music. D.J Edwin was friendly and seemed to enjoy the crowd. He did a great job.
