The only positive comment I can make about this DJ service was the cost. Tim (Platinum Sound…read moreCreations Inc.) worked with us to come to an affordable cost for the event. However, since it was a low cost he treated us as the old saying goes "You get what you pay for". Now, part of the reason he gave us a discount was because he was late for our first appointment. I should have taken the hint from there but I wanted to believe it was a onetime thing; I was wrong. Tim was not reliable when it came to communication; he was delayed at best when responding to any request. I was not expecting 24hr service, but I do think that it should not take a week to respond to a client. I will admit my schedule was tight until the last three months before my wedding...but really how long does it take to plan music. I did not even get assistance from Tim until a very uncomfortable phone conversation less than a week before the wedding. I would have expected less from Tim but he really was a sweet talker saying how the DJ makes or breaks the wedding, and with his experience he could provide the best. I regret my choice to hire him! I wanted karaoke at my wedding but only one person was able to sing; and the song was on my do not sing list. However, since Tim was unable to provide other songs by that artist I allowed the guest to sing that song. There were no books of song choices and only one announcement was made stating that there was karaoke. This was a huge disappointment!! My father-in-law had practiced for over two months, we requested the songs he wanted, and yet Tim still did not have those songs. My guests did not want to ruin my day so they did not mention the difficulties they had with the DJ until after the wedding. If I would have known on my wedding day I seriously would have spoken my mind and it would have ruined the day. If you want someone to play music without having any request then this is the company for you...but if you want a DJ to work with you and provide entertainment for a great night go somewhere else. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy...they could even do better.

I would give this "company" 0 stars if I could. My wedding isn't for a few more weeks, but I had…read moreto fire this guys because he was absolutely terrible at communication. And then, I found this review about a week ago: http://www.projectwedding.com/vendor/show/platinum-sound-creations-inc This bride had ALL the same complaints I had: the company is 1 guy (which you don't realize until you talk to the Tim, and only Tim, about 4 times). He is his own secretary, DJ, partner, etc. It is ONLY him. Don't let the fancy website and phone message fool you. In fact, any DJ that uses the site "djintelligence" is probably terrible because it is so easy to set it up. Anyways, Tim was quick to get my contract over to me so that I could make my deposit ($200 GONE) but after that, communication was close to none. He kept claiming he likes to meet the bride "a week or 2 before the wedding" which should have clued me in. Every time he said he was busy and would call me back "when he got home," he never did. After multiple unanswered phone calls, e-mails, even texts, I couldn't take it anymore... so 20 days before my wedding, I fired Tim and hired an AWESOME DJ who charged just about as much as Tim. See, that's how he sucks you in. He offers an UNBELIEVEABLE price. DON'T let it fool you. It is NOT worth all the stress and crap that comes along with it. The bride in the review above went through with Tim and totally regrets it. I can only give you the overview of the before-wedding drama. Read the other review for wedding day drama... or just don't hire him. Period.

We chatted on the phone first, then met up that week, and once more before the wedding. Tom knows what he's doing. He sets up a profile for you to fill out, but all in all, he says "trust me." He is right; you are hiring these vendors to take care of the day so you don't have to worry. Tom kept the floor packed all night long, and was extremely accommodating and took our recommendations. He is the best in the biz, and we 200% recommend him for any event!

I gave three stars, because my husband and i weren't satisfied with the emceeing portion, which we feel is just as important during the reception. The emcee directs everyone's attention, makes announcements, introductions, etc. The flow of our evening had several moments of awkward silence during transitions and he wasn't enthusiastic. I wished he could have filled in the gaps with either mentioning who/what was next on the schedule, say some nice words, or was quicker with the dinner music transition. Our wedding coordinator felt he wasn't on the ball and could have been better. Again, the dancing music was great, but with all his experience I expected him to be a better emcee. Perhaps he was having an off night.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This is going to be a long review, so here's a brief summary…read moreof my experience. We ended up terminating services with Bill 10 days before our wedding due to the lack of communication, unprofessionalism and the disregard for our requests. Money was tight leading up to the wedding, but we knowingly cancelled services even though we would still have to pay in full because of the lack of confidence we had in him. If you're still reading, please prepare yourself for my experiences with him: We booked Bill the summer of '24 for our wedding that just took place a couple of days ago (April '25). We talked to him on the phone, and he presented himself to us with quite the ego. He kept telling us that he was the best, he was a professional and that everyone loved him. We were also told that he would provide us with links to his work, but no links were sent. We still picked him because of the good reviews. Fast forward to the end of March, I reached out to Bill about 2.5 weeks before our wedding because I had not heard from him since we booked him. I asked to do a phone call meeting to go over everything for the wedding, and I sent him a very detailed schedule/notes to look over prior to our call. On the day of our scheduled call, he indeed did NOT call me like he said he was going to. Instead, I waited 20 minutes past the scheduled time and then I called him. We talked on the phone, and we did not go over much for the wedding because he told me that he did not even look over any of the notes I sent him. I was pretty frustrated that he was late (if you can call it that, since I had to call him) and unprepared. I marched on and started asking him questions to which his replies were "don't stress," "everyone loves me," "I've done this before," which is exactly what every stressed bride wants to hear, am I right? He was very condescending and overtly dismissive throughout the entire 10 minutes on the phone. He then goes on to tell me that he has a music list of over 2,000 songs that he would like us to go through for the wedding, and I asked him to send me those links of his work that he talked about at the initial booking call. After this call, we went through the list, and it said to return completed 2 weeks prior to the wedding day, which was only a couple days from when we received the list. Not only should we have received this list probably months in advance, but also the spreadsheet was literally labeled "Copy of Songlist - 2010." The label was very accurate because there was not a single song on there from after the year 2010, and the spreadsheet sent to us had markings on it already, which showed us that this was probably someone else's sheet. His behavior and lack of preparedness did not instill any semblance of confidence in us. We looked back at our contract, and it said we would owe him the full amount if cancelled within 60 (!!!) days prior to our event. Keep in mind the 60 days because it will be important later. We decided to keep him because it was super last minute to find a new DJ. Due to the lack of confidence, we decided we needed to meet him in person to go over everything before the wedding, so we sent him another email to schedule that. We were very specific on our availability times (ex. "Wednesday, April 9th after 2:30pm" etc), so there would be no confusion. Low and behold, there was confusion. I was emailed 20 minutes after the in person meeting time one week BEFORE we were actually supposed to meet stating that he was waiting at the Panera. We were very confused and reminded Bill that our meeting was not for another week. He proceeded to tell us that he drove an hour and a half to meet us and if we could still come by. We replied saying that we had other obligations, which is why we did not list that date in our availability. This was the final thing that pushed us to terminate services with him. He was not reliable, prompt or able to follow explicit directions. It also showed me that he did not save my phone number because he only communicated with us over email when the meet up incident occurred. This meant he was never going to call me for the initial phone call meeting, and we never would have chatted if I did not call him. When we sent our concise termination of services email to him 10 days before the wedding, he replied very unprofessionally. His email was riddled with spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors to which we deemed no reply was necessary. We decided to eat the price and find a new DJ to which we are so happy we did. One day before our wedding, he sent us an invoice for the remaining balance, which we knew we were going to pay. In his note attached to the invoice, he wrote that we signed a contract and had to cancel 90 days before the event. Bill obviously did not even read his own contract because it said 60 days in the one we signed. We paid it, but we would definitely recommend to NOT book with Bill. Literally find ANYONE else.
