If I could give zero stars, I would. This is going to be a long review, so here's a brief summary…read moreof my experience. We ended up terminating services with Bill 10 days before our wedding due to the lack of communication, unprofessionalism and the disregard for our requests. Money was tight leading up to the wedding, but we knowingly cancelled services even though we would still have to pay in full because of the lack of confidence we had in him. If you're still reading, please prepare yourself for my experiences with him: We booked Bill the summer of '24 for our wedding that just took place a couple of days ago (April '25). We talked to him on the phone, and he presented himself to us with quite the ego. He kept telling us that he was the best, he was a professional and that everyone loved him. We were also told that he would provide us with links to his work, but no links were sent. We still picked him because of the good reviews. Fast forward to the end of March, I reached out to Bill about 2.5 weeks before our wedding because I had not heard from him since we booked him. I asked to do a phone call meeting to go over everything for the wedding, and I sent him a very detailed schedule/notes to look over prior to our call. On the day of our scheduled call, he indeed did NOT call me like he said he was going to. Instead, I waited 20 minutes past the scheduled time and then I called him. We talked on the phone, and we did not go over much for the wedding because he told me that he did not even look over any of the notes I sent him. I was pretty frustrated that he was late (if you can call it that, since I had to call him) and unprepared. I marched on and started asking him questions to which his replies were "don't stress," "everyone loves me," "I've done this before," which is exactly what every stressed bride wants to hear, am I right? He was very condescending and overtly dismissive throughout the entire 10 minutes on the phone. He then goes on to tell me that he has a music list of over 2,000 songs that he would like us to go through for the wedding, and I asked him to send me those links of his work that he talked about at the initial booking call. After this call, we went through the list, and it said to return completed 2 weeks prior to the wedding day, which was only a couple days from when we received the list. Not only should we have received this list probably months in advance, but also the spreadsheet was literally labeled "Copy of Songlist - 2010." The label was very accurate because there was not a single song on there from after the year 2010, and the spreadsheet sent to us had markings on it already, which showed us that this was probably someone else's sheet. His behavior and lack of preparedness did not instill any semblance of confidence in us. We looked back at our contract, and it said we would owe him the full amount if cancelled within 60 (!!!) days prior to our event. Keep in mind the 60 days because it will be important later. We decided to keep him because it was super last minute to find a new DJ. Due to the lack of confidence, we decided we needed to meet him in person to go over everything before the wedding, so we sent him another email to schedule that. We were very specific on our availability times (ex. "Wednesday, April 9th after 2:30pm" etc), so there would be no confusion. Low and behold, there was confusion. I was emailed 20 minutes after the in person meeting time one week BEFORE we were actually supposed to meet stating that he was waiting at the Panera. We were very confused and reminded Bill that our meeting was not for another week. He proceeded to tell us that he drove an hour and a half to meet us and if we could still come by. We replied saying that we had other obligations, which is why we did not list that date in our availability. This was the final thing that pushed us to terminate services with him. He was not reliable, prompt or able to follow explicit directions. It also showed me that he did not save my phone number because he only communicated with us over email when the meet up incident occurred. This meant he was never going to call me for the initial phone call meeting, and we never would have chatted if I did not call him. When we sent our concise termination of services email to him 10 days before the wedding, he replied very unprofessionally. His email was riddled with spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors to which we deemed no reply was necessary. We decided to eat the price and find a new DJ to which we are so happy we did. One day before our wedding, he sent us an invoice for the remaining balance, which we knew we were going to pay. In his note attached to the invoice, he wrote that we signed a contract and had to cancel 90 days before the event. Bill obviously did not even read his own contract because it said 60 days in the one we signed. We paid it, but we would definitely recommend to NOT book with Bill. Literally find ANYONE else.

I noticed a couple things that set them apart from other booths I've been to and seen pictures of: 1. They can make you a scrapbook with all your pictures in it & guests can write a personalized note next to their pic- which is great and looking at it still makes me laugh! (you must get this!!) 2. The props are hilarious, unique, and not your typical "mustache and glasses on a stick" (way over-used) & there's tons of props! They great thing is, you have time between pictures to switch up your props to make epic booth strips! 3. The booth worker is fun and engaging with the crowd which encourages awesome pictures! The service was great, the booth is fun and easy to use, and everybody loved it. I couldn't imagine my wedding without a photobooth. Boothshoot is top notch!!

We knew we had to have a DJ but really wanted a photo booth too. Unfortunately after shopping around, it didn't look like it was going to be in the cards. Our guests going strong on the dance floor and lined up for the photo booth until we shut things down at midnight. They played just the right mix of old stuff and new stuff to keep everyone happy. Even my Nana danced and she's 75! Can't recommend these guys enough!

The manager was nice but I feel as though that some people are being blamed for other people's shortcomings when they come into this venue and claimed that they're not gonna do anything and then they do so therefore, I have to pay the price for the first man's mistakes Our people......... so therefore I will just wait for my niece's party to be over within the two hour timeframe that she is allotted to be at this venue and this would just be a reason as to why maybe we just don't support certain businesses that just can't understand some things are what they are, but then I can go somewhere else. I paid for a bouncy house +generator rental back in APRIL of 2025 for the delivery date of August 16th @ 11am. There was a free snow cone machine included for my order because it was over $350. The first red flag was when I called 7 days before my event to confirm all of the details of my delivery & they tried to act like I was crazy for bringing up THEIR PROMOTION that was all over THEIR WEBSITE. I had to wait 2 days for a "supervisor" to confirm that the promotion was "accurate" (which again, was all over their website & Facebook page). Second red flag- at 11:00am (the delivery time) on the date of the delivery, they were not there with the bouncy house & they refused to answer the phone. I called for 2 hours straight before I got an answer. When I finally talked to someone at 1:00pm she told me the drivers were behind majorly & all deliveries were delayed an hour late. (Mind you, my delivery was now 2 hours late). So I asked why is it that the paying customer, had to call you for this update? Why haven't you all called me? She Couldn't even give a direct answer to my question, just "I don't know". Third red flag- At approximately 4:00pm (Now 5 hours late) my bouncy house rental finally arrived. He sat in the car for about 8 mins (I counted). My phone didn't ring at all. I was confused on why he would just be sitting there when he was already 5 hours late so I walked up to the van & said hey I'm right here could you go ahead & set up please. He set up & just left Like he knew something was wrong but didnt want to be questioned about it . He also Left the snow cone machine & the materials for it on the ground without any directions on how to use it or anything. Fourth red flag- The bouncy house had only been there 20-30mins when it STARTED FALLING ON THE CHILDREN THAT WERE INSIDE!!!! So not only did you deliver equipment 5 hours late, U DELIVERED 100% DEFECTIVE EQUIPMENT! Then once we figured out a way to keep it up (still not all the way inflated) the generator stopped working!!!! Then once we finally got the generator back started, the entire bouncy house flew all the way to busy 87th street WITH CHILDREN STILL INSIDE IT (we were at the Dan Ryan woods) BECAUSE THE DELIVERY PERSON DIDNT PUT STAKES DOWN TO SECURE IT!!!!! Fifth red flag- The snowcone machine was missing parts & was not even able to be used as well. Sixth red flag- I called them at approximately 5pm & told them they delivered defective equipment & asked them to please come pick their equipment up ASAP & issue every penny I spent with them back to my account. At 6:50, they still hadn't come to pick their items up. (Everyone HAS to be out of the forest preserve by 7:30pm) She Wouldn't answer the phone, wouldn't text back. The pick up time was originally 7pm but since the equipment didn't even work they were called at 5pm & told to come ASAP to pick up their equipment!!!! At 9pm that same night I rode past the park just to see if they picked up the items & they still hadn't!!!! Seventh red flag- On the next day (Sunday), I received several calls from the Forest preserve about a bouncy house & generator still being on their property & threatning to charge us for a extra day. I really couldn't believe it. So I called & called & called Shaneka (the owner of jump & jam) & she would not answer any of my calls. All of my texts begging her to please pick her items up said "delivered" but I never got any response. Family members started calling her for me & she answered every one of their calls & told my auntie they would get it by 3pm but never showed up! How could you just ignore a paying customer that is literally BEGGING you to come & get YOUR EQUIPMENT? That doesnt even sound right! Fast forward to today, August 27th (almost 2 weeks after the rental) & she's reporting that we "stole" her equipment. I just got off the phone with the officer that called me about it 10 mins ago & he even LAUGHED at you & said you really just wasted his time! Like baby yall really tried it but yall got the RIGHT ONE! Yall better get it together, it's gotta be COKE! GO PLAY WITH SOMEBODY ELSE!!! You let your equipment sit on 87th & Damen for almost 2 dam weeks! Did you REALLY think it would still be there 14 days later!!??? I'm sure whoever "stole" it is upset they even wasted their time "stealing" items that DONT EVEN WORK!!! I will NEVER support this "black" unprofessional behavior or business EVER again & I hope yall dont waste yall hard earned $ or your valuable time trying to like I did!!! PLEASE GO SUPPORT SOMEONE ELSE!!!

They have an awesome online planning tool on the website that makes it super easy to pick out songs and plan your reception timeline, etc. I was really nervous picking a DJ cause I've been planning my wedding music since I was like 10, and I knew exactly what I wanted-- a lot of old school, non-cheesy, not-typical-wedding songs and I wasn't sure how an experienced DJ would feel about my need for total control LOL!! But Eric and my DJ, Mark, were both awesome! like I said, you are able to go online and input the songs for all the traditional dances and intros, then you pick about 60 songs: 20 must-play, 20 others you'd like to hear, and 20 don't-play (which was cool, cause I wanted NO chicken dance, hokey pokey, wonderful tonight, love shack, barfy cliche wedding songs). I was also pretty adamant about the slow songs I wanted. Mark did an AWESOME job of staying true to my list while also adding in some surprise songs that I hadn't thought of but flowed perfectly with the songs I picked. He was also really good at reading the crowd and played stuff that got everyone involved. The dance floor was packed the whole night, my grandma line-danced to Robin Thicke, and my husband's aunt danced on the table to some Motown, so I'd say the evening was a success! The prices were reasonable, and they had a lot of optional add-ons like up lighting, slideshows, etc, which I didn't use but it's nice to know they are available. Bottom line: I trusted the Music Boyz with the part of my reception that was THE MOST important to me, and they totally delivered! I would definitely recommend!!

He has a great voice to MC an event; is very professional in both appearance and demeanor. He did music for both the ceremony and the reception. He was the first vendor at the courthouse that afternoon to set up. For the ceremony, my daughter, had him do about 15 seconds of one song to which he looped so it played over again without any problems. She had some pretty set ideas about what she didn't want at the reception and he stayed true to that. People were dancing and having a great time all evening! When the shuttle bus was late bringing guests and we decided to delay the ceremony, he offered to go talk to the caterers. He actually worked it all out with them which took the stress off of us. This was going totally above and beyond! We are not from Crown Point, and this is our first daughter married, so we had no experience with DJ's in the area. I would totally trust Eric and the Music Boyz for any event.

We had planned a party just to be told to postpone it a whole year. 27 Entertainment understand the situation we were forced into and held on tight for the adventure that was a 1 year postponement. Patrick, my husband, was in charge of picking a DJ. To him flowers, food, venue didn't matter much as long as the music was great. And when our day finally came he chose right, 27 Entertainment did not disappoint. When I say our wedding was a dance party fueled with my favorite songs...that's exactly what it was. The energy this company provides is ridiculous. I danced the night away to songs we selected but mixed by the talented Matt! And I tried to keep up with Sterling's energy and amazing dance moves he was sending THE WHOLE TIME. If you are hesitant, don't be. There is a reason this company has this many 5 star reviews. They're the best of the best! Thanks you two!

Highly recommend booking 27 entertainment if you are looking to regret your DJ years down the line…read more I had 27 entertainment do my wedding in September 2023. I'm also still waiting for a phone call back. Upon booking, I had great communication. I was obviously excited, considering all the great reviews. It was roughly 1.5 weeks out from our wedding. Crickets didn't hear anything form anyone. I had to reach aid touch base to talk to someone (who ended up being our DJ) Upon arrival to our reception our party bus driver was running 15 minutes late, in return really bothered the DJ and he made it well known. I had spent hours adding the music to the app that 27 entertainment sent me to download that we wanted played. Dinner music (half of which that was not even played) must play and do not plays. As the bride, I asked the DJ to play a song during the reception. In which he told me "I already played that." I heard less than half of the songs I was told to pick up and put on the app they use. I wouldn't have wasted hours of my time selecting and adding music if I would've known it wasn't going to be played. Not to mention, shortly after the reception started DJs back speaker blew and we had several guests walk up to us stating they couldn't hear anything at the back of our venue. I will say the uploading that was available was very nice. Finally, at the end of the night the DJ started playing what we asked for. We finally had guests out on the dance floor, so my husband offered to pay him cash for an extra hour considering leading up to this was not going well. I reached out to 27 entertainment a few weeks after my wedding just to let them know of what had happened. I was very clear. I did not want to refund or any money back. I just wanted to let somebody know of the issues. I was told on the phone " well, your event has obviously came and gone so we can't take it back. But I'll talk to the DJ and I'll get back to you never wants a sorry this is not our standard. Almost 3 years later. I'm waiting for a follow up from 27 entertainment. Looking back I wish I would have booked a different DJ. It was a $2800 letdown. However, decided to go with 27 entertainment due to all the positive reviews.
