I came in today with themes of ideas hoping that this business can help showcase some ideas of the elements that I present. I thought that is a fair request being this is their claimed speciality. The woman who was there to help, Anna, was not pleasant. She wanted concrete set ideas and told me, "My problem is you don't know what you want." This is only one of the other rude things I can name. I was standing there self soothing myself and at the same time feeling like I needed to use de-escalation skills that I teach at work. It seems all so ridiculous! As a business, wouldn't you think that a place would try to build rapport with you? Her tone was intense and did not fit the joyful energy I would want when planning for a wedding. I couldn't take it after a while. I am at least glad I made her aware that her tone was not appreciated and that I am leaving. I would not come back and I would not recommend for those still building the vision of your event.

The high ceilings and all areas were tastefully decorated. The wedding room was very bright. The seating was comfortable. After the wedding, there was a cocktail reception outside while they prepared the rest of the event. I would say this took longer than expected but it could be that the wedding party was off taking photos. On this occasion it wasn't too hot but if more than 85 degrees than maybe an issue. Once allowed to enter dinner reception it was setup beautifully. The bar area accommodated a Photo Booth area as well. For food we had baked chicken, yams, Mac & Cheese, greens and cornbread. Dinner was delicious and I had no complaints on the food. Also like that they had hot sauce and salt/pepper easily accessible. The servers did a good job and bringing around sweet tea and lemonade. Overall a fantastic experience. Lots of detail was put into making this a special experience for the Oliver family. I would give it 4.5 stars. Only downside was small parking lot, only 2 bathrooms and timing of event felt slow. Not sure if DJ was apart of wedding venue but the music was horribly loud during the wedding and at times it was hard to hear.

The food, tables, chairs, bar and bathrooms were all impeccable and functioned beautifully with a big crowd. I have attended many weddings in similar venues but this topped them all. Plus, it was a hot summer night with close to 300 people and the A/C was superb. Great place for a great event.

When I waked into the banquet hall, I was expecting something dark and subdued. Low and behold, the lobby area and banquet room was light, spacious and elegantly decorated. The food served at the luncheon was a nice chicken breast with a lovely sauce and fresh vegetable on the side. The dish was nicely seasoned, the chicken breast was tender and juicy. I was lucky enough to sit at the table with the Maribel the Banquet Manager. She was so nice and accommodating. Next time I am considering an event, they will be my place to host.

We were very impressed with Daniela who helped highlight safety and logistical concerns while also coming up with ideas to bring our wishes to life. The lighting at every single event ended up impeccable. Daniela specifically worked with our family on some of their performances for our Sangeet as well, going on multiple calls to help refine crazy ideas into the performance of a lifetime. We also had this insane idea of dancing under falling cherry blossoms, something that is very much not possible in Chicago. She managed to bring that into reality, and we are so glad we trusted her vision. We also wanted to highlight how above and beyond the Frost team went in the production. There were a lot of events with a ton of line items, day after day, and the team worked very hard to ensure everything was done on time. On our wedding ceremony day, they were very flexible as we tried to beat unpredictable weather, going so far as to set things up in pouring rain. That extra effort allowed us to have the wedding of our dreams, and we can't appreciate it enough. Daniela told us that she teared up when she saw our reaction to the wedding mandap being set up outside, and that tells us how much she cared. We can't recommend Frost and her enough.

I particularly loved the assortment of sweets and desserts laid out before the main meal. As someone with a serious sweet tooth, I indulged in quite a few treats. What I appreciated most was that everything was bite-sized, allowing guests to sample a little bit of everything without feeling guilty if they didn't like something. So if someone is reading this, get the pastry chef's number. After the sweet indulgence, the main courses were served. Starting with soup, followed by salad, and an array of main dishes served family-style. I enjoyed the family-style servings as it allowed me to taste a bit of everything. However, the protein portions were quite generous, and after all the sweets, I found myself quite full. While the main entree was good, I have to say the other dishes stole the show. Now, let's talk about the dance floor - it was massive! Having such a large dancing area was a refreshing change from many other weddings I've attended. What else is there to say? I seriously don't think I can sing her praises enough…read more Cecil is the type of person that gets her point across easily because she's direct and firm, and continues to poke and prod even if it's uncomfortable. The number of times she reached out to my (incredibly difficult to work with) venue coordinator and got much needed answers for me ASAP was insane. She was detail oriented and beyond organized, even when compared to my hyper Type A self. Not only did she create a minute-by-minute plan for my day, but she did all the legwork, such as confirming all of my appointments and reaching out to all of my hired personnel/vendors to confirm details in the contracts, finalize time frames and ask any additional questions. She responded to my emails (practically) immediately, which lowered my stress levels dramatically. Cecil quickly went from someone we hired to someone we trusted to a friend. Out of all honesty, the success of my wedding day was a huge part of Cecil's hard work. I can honestly say I enjoyed each and every moment of my wedding day and felt entirely stress free because I knew she was handling anything and everything that was occurring around me. She literally kept everything running smoothly. I've never been to a more organized wedding if I do say so myself :) I am forever grateful for her. I told my husband I easily would have paid double for Cecil, and would highly recommend her to anyone and everyone I know. CECIL IS THE BEST! We love her!!

Look y'all, let's get this out of the way: weddings are insane. That being said, my partner and I spent over a year planning our DIY commitment celebration, and weren't willing to take any chances on the execution. We interviewed a bunch of Day Of Coordinators, most of which yield reactions like "They'd be okay" or "Let's keep looking". When we met Cecil for the first time, we knew she was the one. Whatever the request, Cecil was more than game to bring it to life. Acoustic guitar processionals? Sure. Silent Quaker ceremony? Done. Kazoo jam sesh? You betcha. She was communicative, and did a great job of getting the vendors on the same page. She kept our grandiosely overstuffed evening running like a Swiss train, and wasn't afraid to (oh so politely!) reign in some vocal family members who despite their best intentions threatened to compromise the vision we had for our big day. If you are planning an unconventional wedding and need someone who can take your plans and make them come to life, my partner and I couldn't recommend Cecil enough.
