But by the…read moreend of the wedding, he was the one who didn't think we could have pulled off this wedding without Suzanne. So please, do yourself a favor and hire Suzanne!! A lot of the things that drew us to Suzanne was her familiarity with our venue and we really bonded over having lost a close important family member. From the beginning, we had multiple meetings with her and she guided us on design elements too.  She spent hours on our timeline and it really allowed my husband and I to enjoy the important day. She was such a momma bear which was especially important considering my mom lives in a different state. Suzanne is the girl scout of wedding planners, she was prepared for everything. At one point, even pulling scissors and eyelash glue out of her purse at a moments notice. She handled the small details we didn't know existed and I'm so grateful that she was apart of our wedding day. I honestly could not have done it without Suzanne.

She is organized, available and helpful. She did an incredible job at helping us create a vision for our wedding and then seamlessly bring it to life. Plus, Marie helped us with our idea for escort cards and then stuffed and sealed all the envelopes for our guests, which is a great example of how she goes above and beyond for her clients. I also appreciated that she is so on top of everything while keeping a calm energy throughout - no added stress on our wedding day. I can confidently say our wedding would not have been what it was without Marie and I'm so grateful for that.

A friend had recommended them with the promise that I would feel completely at ease--and that proved true from the very beginning. Shannon paired us with Cecelia McIntosh, who turned out to be the most exceptional project manager I've ever worked with, not just in the wedding world but across all of my professional experiences. Cecelia's attention to detail was extraordinary. She cataloged every element of our multi-day Indian-Western celebration, managed vendor relationships with grace, secured us excellent deals where she had negotiating power, and offered thoughtful recommendations--like the perfect florals for our mehendi ceremony. She understood the cultural nuances of our events, from the importance of removing shoes at the mandap to the way certain rituals needed to be set up. She took ownership of everything: carrying and setting up décor, assembling seating charts, ensuring plate service was flawless, and keeping the entire wedding running with a level of timing and precision that every single guest commented on. There were moments where Cecelia truly went above and beyond--most memorably when she calmly and safely helped transport a ceremonial fire to an unexpected location, taking control of a situation that could have easily become chaotic. She handled every last-minute request without hesitation, kept our planning calls on schedule, and brought a sense of structure, warmth, and professionalism that made her an absolute dream to work with. As someone who is naturally a very thorough planner, I stepped into my wedding days feeling completely calm, knowing Cecelia had everything handled. Because of her, I was able to be fully present and simply enjoy our celebration. I cannot recommend Shannon Gale and Cecelia more highly--they are truly among the best planners you could ever hire.

If I could give Jordyn and her team like 800/5 stars I would. I was on the fence about hiring a…read morecoordinator, but planning a wedding in Chicago from Denver is no joke, and I decided a little help wouldn't hurt. What I got instead was A LOT of help. Jordyn was professional, kind, incredibly detail oriented, put out every single fire that came her way (usually without me even noticing), and absolute pleasure to work with. I was already feeling so happy with our decision but there were two things that really took me over the edge. In general, I was a pretty relaxed bride and had virtually no special requests except: I wanted to walk down the aisle to a very specific moment in a very specific song. Jordyn heard the song twice at our rehearsal and somehow did magic math to figure out how to space the bridesmaids so I would walk out at the perfect moment -- and it was perfect. Second: I was famished after our ceremony and hadn't told anyone, but like clockwork, the second our last picture was taken, Jordyn arrived with an entire TRAY of apps for my husband and me. Right after our first dance, she arrived with a cocktails without being asked. Not only is this lovely lady wonderful and hardworking, she's also the cutest and the funniest, and it made me feel like I had a trusted friend working the operations department on our wedding day. I would give Sandy 10 starts out of 5. That's how amazing she was. Let me dive into everything…read moreshe did for us! First of all, we live in Oakland, California and our wedding was in Chicago (home for us). We knew we wanted to have our wedding where we met and where our families are for convenience for them, but it was a real inconvenience for us. Our wedding, for us, basically became a destination wedding, and we couldn't have done any of it without Sandy. It was a logistical nightmare, but having someone in Chicago to handle aspects of the planning for us was amazing. From our first consultation with Sandy, we knew she was definitely the right fit. Sandy listened to us, our vision, and our budget. We did not want a cookie cutter wedding by any means. From the ceremony, venue, coloring and timeline, we wanted things different. We wanted things "us". Our wedding was 100% ours and us. She was detail oriented. When we would go through invites, ceremony handouts, menus, signage, our wedding website, etc. Sandy would notice every little detail. I only noticed a few typos here and there that MAYBE occurred, but she was in the details about changing things to be aesthetically pleasing, to fit better, be more centered, etc. She was way more in the details of my wedding than I was! She's incredibly detail oriented and wants everything to have an organic and nice flow to it. Something I love about Sandy is her honesty. She would not just blindly agree with me to make me happy. She definitely put in her opinion and always had a reason why that she was suggesting something different (and it wasn't suggestions to make it hers, just things that made sense from a wedding professional!). She would alert me if something would look off, or if what I had in mind didn't work or would work, but needed tweaking to make it happen. She also had amazing suggestions for our vendors. With those vendors, because of the relationship she has built with them over time, we would actually get discounts from them (she basically paid for herself with this feature!). On the same token as vendors- she organized EVERYTHING WITH THEM. From walkthroughs of the venue the week of, to communicating with them, sending them the timeline, letting them know what we wanted and our vision, EVERYTHING. After our vendors were hired (we hired many before we realized we needed her) she would have us intro her via email, and then communicate with them separately if she did not need anything else from us, which was so nice. Some nitty gritty details you just do not need to be a part of, and she recognized when it was appropriate to cut us out. The day itself went off without a hitch. If there was an issue day of, we did not know about it at all. She handled everything and was on point the entire time. Timeline, vendors, our families, everyone knew who Sandy was and where to ask questions, which is great because the bride and groom are a bit overwhelmed that day! I highly highly recommend Sandy. She is worth the stress she cuts out during the planning process and day of wedding. A lot goes into a wedding and she is an absolute professional about everything. She is an amazing communicator (via whatever method you prefer, we would chat on instagram, text, email, phone, FaceTime... the works!). She made everything so easy and our wedding was a dream. Thank you does not come close to enough for what she did for us. Do not look anywhere else for your Chicago Wedding Planner than here with Splendid Weddings. XOXO, we love you, Sandy!

We had the incredible pleasure of having Nicole, the owner be our lead planner for the day of our wedding. She is proactive, responsive and a masterful timeline creator. Our wedding day was flawless in large part because of Nicole. Whenever she had even a whiff of something going sideways, she had almost a sixth sense to get in front of it and fix it without me ever having to worry about it. Details I thought I had nailed, she thought of and made it even better than I dreamed. From our first call with Nicole she asked what we were worried/stressed about and as a marketer who's planned and hosted many events I told her my only worry was being wrapped up in making sure everyone else had a good time and that I wouldn't focus on myself having a good one. She took that to heart and made sure literally the only thing I thought about was being present with my new husband, family and friends the entire day. People kept asking me "how are you so calm?" and my answer was "I don't have to worry about anything, I have Nicole and the Urban Allure team."
