Idk what more I expected when it's called FunFlatables but I guess you get what you pay for. Was looking for something fun to do before running errands for my little one. I understand the concept but the place looks thrown together with slowly deflating bounce centers and random massage chairs just there. The toddler area (6 and under) doesn't give much of anything either - a small bounce house and 2 Little Tike slides. Again you get what you pay for bc open play is only $12. My toddler boy and I were there for 15min tops before leaving. No offense to those that frequent with their children bc there's obviously some that do enjoy it but when it comes to indoor family entertainment, I look at cleanliness, what they offer, concession and all. It's exactly what you would expect. A building full of different size/shape bounce houses. We had the best time! We went yesterday for my daughter's 3rd birthday and we just went for open play. We got in quick and everyone was nice and polite. It was busy but we were able to have a bounce house to ourselves if we wanted to which was great because our daughter is super shy and when another kid would go in she would immediately want to get out. 10/10 would recommend! read more

FunFlatables is a typical "you get what you pay for" place. I went on a Saturday and it was $9 for a child to get in (free for adults) which is cheap and reasonable. But that's pretty much about what you get. For a kid, it's great. It's multiple rooms of bouncy houses and obstacles for them to climb through all day. For an adult, it's some concerns here. First one being the lack of supervision. I don't think I saw one person working beyond the service desk where I walked in. So you are pretty much up to watching your kids and everyone else's kids which can be an issue. Kids run, bump into each other, become aggressive so it would be nice to have someone that's not a parent on duty to supervise over things. But it's no security or supervision. It's like going to public park. Secondly, it's not that clean of a place. Again you don't really have staff walking around so it's kids running around all day, sweating, sick and carrying whatever and I never saw one person wiping down anything. And the bouncy houses are in like warehouse with no outside air or ventilation. Simply put after a while, it starts to smell like sweatbox. Cool concept but raise the prices a little more and hire more staff particularly security. With kids running around in multiple rooms, you'd like to feel protected more. read more

We had a birthday party on a Monday for my son and it was incredible. Everything was clean and ready upon our arrival. We brought decorations but didn't really need to use them because the room was already decorated. Had everything we needed. Including candles that we forgot. It was clean. The hostess was very informal and had everything ready at the time she told us. I didn't have to ask for anything, but instead enjoyed the party. The kids had endless fun shared between 3 rooms packed with bouncy houses. The horses were in perfect condition. I couldn't rave more. If your kids birthday is coming do yourself a huge favor! There's a magical little children's world nestled somewhere between the quality of a Chuck-E-Cheese and a Jumpzone, they call it Funflatables. The high school aged staff meet the expectations of high schoolers running the counter at a funflatables, and the price point is great (not having to pay for adults is completely logical to me). The complete lack of supervision on the inflatables was actually a high point, as the 15 kids in the room were not jerks, and they all seemed to be having a blast together. Had the place been overrun with unsupervised pushy kids, I might have a different opinion on the lack of lifeguards in the 'pool'. Parental attentiveness can make or break the experience for everybody there. This was an affordable and memorable great time for my kids, and therefore by me as well. We will be back. read more

I visited Funflatables today to celebrate my nephew's 7th birthday party. I had heard about this place before by my sister, and they are big fans of this place. It was no surprise that they chose Funflatables to celebrate this year. I must say that I was pretty impressed with Funflatables. My sister's private party package included 1.5 hours of fun filled bouncing time split between 3 different play rooms, and 45 minutes in one of two (or maybe three) "celebration" rooms. This place was well thought out. When we entered the first play room, we removed our shoes and placed them on a wheeled cart. The kids were then able to run around and play on inflatables and other play stations. Each room had three inflates. They had slides and bouncy rooms and and obstacle courses, oh my! After 30 minutes of play time a "bouncer" announced it was time to move on and opened a door leading to an adjacent room full of three different inflatables. The bouncer also wheeled the shoe cart into the next room and closed the door behind the group. I presume another party group followed behind us into the room we just vacated. The second room was the largest room and had more area to run around in. It also had play stations for younger kids and infants. Some of the play stations were wall mounted toys, others were foam block configurations - one had a slide - and another play station was a small school bus shaped activity station. The third room was about the same size as the first, but it also had a school bus activity station. After our play time was over everyone was directed to the "celebration" room, where we ate cake (self provided). The "celebration" room also included an inflatable chair for the kid of the hour. I think at one point five kids jammed together on the chair. That's pretty much the skinny, but here is a bit of additional information... The daily rates are $5 or $7 per child for open play time, and get this... Parents can play too!!! Yup, you heard me! So long as you are "supervising" your child, you can run around and enjoy the fun too! I was buried in odd spots taking photos, but other grown ups were playing tag, hide-and-go-seek, and racing with the kids, along with just bouncing around and sliding down the slides. I didn't notice any supervision during the private party, but during open play time they did have a staff person in each room. During open play time, all of the doors were open so that all rooms were accessible. Each room also had chairs for the parents to sit and supervise their children. They also seem to be very germ conscience. I found a wall mounted hand sanitizer outside one of the rooms and they had kid friendly sanitation signs in the restrooms. Next to the rest rooms were two water fountains. The one I tried had great water pressure, so I was pretty happy. My only complaint is that despite all of the money my sister paid, and all of the additional business she gave Funflatables after the party (many of the kids wanted to say for open play following the party), they would not give her a break with the bill for open play. She paid for 15 kids for the private party, but only 12 kids made it in time for the party, so the 3 which where late had to pay again. Everyone had to play again, but considering they couldn't participate for the private party, it would have been nice if they waved the $7 fee for them. It would have have hurt the company, and would have just made everyone like them more. I think it was pretty cheap on their part (which is why I knocked a star off of the rating); though I really should have dropped two stars off. My sister did ask to speak with the supervisor, but it was the same 18 year old that was working at that cash register. That didn't sit well with me either. I would have hoped that at least one adult was on full time staff; in case of emergencies or other problems. My sister is going to call back to leave a complaint. I'll update if anything positive comes from that, but as far as my sister is concerned, that is a deal breaker; and I quote "there are plenty of other inflatable places to go to." read more

Nice set up here. I have been to the Merrillville and Hebron locations and this is my favorite. It has 3 rooms of fun for the kids and even play areas that your younger kids can play with. Everyone was in good shape, unlike the Merrillville location and there is a lot more room, unlike the Hebron location. Makes it work your money. Word of advice to the moms...don't bring your purse in or bring a light one. I brought my big one and it was a bad decision. read more

This place is ridiculous. They have one manager working all day, this person just sits on her ass all day. They do not check the inflatables. I took my two sons to this location. They went into the ball pit. They were playing there for 30 mins and then I noticed a horrible smell in the ball pit. I hurried up and took my sons out and my oldest son had someone else's throw up in his hair!!! Now I don't expect less from a children's place but at the same time the manager should be going around and inspecting all the areas. I asked for a refund and she denied it, she said there were other areas to play. Well, no shit. I understand that but my son has fucking throw up in his hair! You want me to stay and make the best out of it like that? Ridiculous and this place will be shut down in the next few years. Looks like it's failing anyways. read more

I've taken my 4 year old here at least a dozen times in the last year. It's a fun place and super affordable. My son, nieces, and nephews LOVE it (ages ranging 2 to 12). They have massage chairs for adults and seating scattered throughout the facility. I advise staying away on the weekends when it gets CRAZY BUSY. We like to go on weekdays before school gets out for bigger kids. There is a separate toddler room with a ball pit (ages 5 and under), but it can get packed in there at times. We've had a couple less than stellar experiences, but it's because of parents not looking after their own kids (which happens everywhere). I do wish it were a little better maintained (there's an overhead light that's been out forever which makes one of the bouncy houses very dark). read more

I have been to Funflatables several times for kid parties, and it seems to do the job of entertaining the kids and providing a place for a birthday party, usually with plenty of help from the host or hosts. This most recent visit was not so good. Sure, the kids were entertained, but the level of assistance from the two hosts was less than desirable. There was not much personality out of either of them, and they really didn't do much to help. They guided us along from room to room and didn't do much talking. When we got to the room for the party, they were of little help. They did some serving of pizza, drinks, and cake, but little else. No orchestration of the party, and we found ourselves short on time for opening gifts. They did not help with the gifts or writing down who gave what as they were opened. This has been done in the past by other hosts. Overall, my wife and I were disappointed. We both agree that the female hosts are much better. I would suggest requesting female hosts for anyone considering Funflatables. They are more attentive. read more

My kids had a blast and I love the place. I will go back again and recommend it to everyone. The young man that was working in the room was very attentive and when I bumped my arm on one of the games he politely came to make sure I was ok. I was very impressed at that, for a teenage boy. The one and only thing I could say to improve the place would be the front desk workers seem to be sitting around socializing like they are at home hanging out.
