Rolling Smoke BBQ was an average barbecue spot at Stanley's in Aurora. I ordered their beef brisket, spicy sausage, coleslaw, and potato salad. My plate of beef brisket as well as sausage seemed drier than it should have been. For a two-choice meat plate priced at $21 (inclusive of a drink and two sides) it wasn't worth my money. Customer service could also be enhanced with a friendly greeting and a "thank you" after the purchase was made. read more

If you've seen my other bbq reviews, you know I'm hardcore so take the 3 with that in mind. Brisket was average - decent flavor but not as tender as I'd like. Pulled pork was pretty good but the hotlinks were spot on. They were out of ribs and burnt ends. Some fanatics don't care about sides but I do. Beans were frankly below average - seemed like right out of a can with some mustard and japs added. Potato salad was fine. My son's smoked mac and cheese was pretty addictive I have to say. Last but perhaps the best was the sauces. Had the standard and a mustard sauce and frankly I don't remember having any better. read more

We were heading to Jagged Mountain for a beer (btw the tequila barrel aged porter is awesome) and we ran into some friends who ordered the candied bacon. It was amazing! Although we just had dinner down the street, we had to order the bacon as a "dessert." The guys running the cart were so nice to top it off. Thank you! read more

A friend and I had a BBQ hankering last night so we wandered over to the Stanley. We placed our orders and my friend went to pay and unfortunately only had rolls of quarters (it was change rolling day!). The dude who waited on us sighed, stalled and wouldn't take the money. We asked what was wrong and he said 'we set our prices so that we don't have to take change'. I pointed out that coins spend the same as paper money and he still refused to pick up the money from the counter and instead started talking with someone behind us in line. At that point we almost walked away because clearly dudebro didn't want our money. I ended up paying with plastic to diffuse the situation and get us out of there. Uncool, Rollin Smoke, uncool. I can promise that you won't get our business again. read more

This being Colorado I didn't have high expectations for a BBQ place. However the pulled pork sandwich was one of the best I've had in a while. It was nice to see them freshly preparing the meat right after I ordered. The sandwich comes with one side and the mac and cheese was great. Perfect amount of food for an early lunch, though the plate options are definitely a good deal if you are starving. The guys working at the front were super nice and my order came out fast. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for some good fast casual BBQ food in the area. read more

Decent BBQ..awful customer service..I ordered brisket with mac and cheese and baked beans and was told by the lady with the short hair and awful attitude that there is no brisket or mac and cheese. Okay...so I ordered some pulled pork cole (awful)slaw and baked beans and as soon as I get my food I see them pull out the mac and cheese.. alright..so I call them out on it and they apologize and give me a free side..then not even 5 mins go by and I hear a lady order and the guy behind the counter suggest pulled pork and she's says "no I want the brisket." He responds with "ohhh haha gotcha" at this point I am confused..is there a secret club you must be in the get the brisket? Why wasn't I given an option to wait for brisket like this other customer? So again I confront the guy behind the counter as to why I was given to option to wait and why was the lady with short hair so short and condescending to me when I ordered the brisket and mac and cheese, they then proceed to tell me "with the nature of BBQ we can't promise everything will be available" which I understand but if those items come out while I'm sitting there, was it really out? Because most BBQ places run out of things, sure, but that means they are truly out not it will be ready in 10 min...sure they offered me a alittle bit of brisket for free but this is after they peddled their pulled pork and cole slaw on me..if you think this is the best BBQ around you are mistaken and I suggest you keep searching I won't name off better places but there definitely a few TLDR they will lie to you a not having brisket.. read more

Not at all like the other location where I was so impressed. In Aurora Meat was dry, service was angry and its hard to believe but they ran out of BBQ sauce!?!? Might give the south location another chance but not this location. read more

Last month, I worked with Terry Walsh and his amazing crew for the 2nd time. I work with a local Denver nonprofit that serves to provide outdoor experiences and science education to Denver's underserved youth. In March of this year,Terry's team provided us with scrumptious ribs, Mac and cheese, and coleslaw - the works - after we requested their services at almost the very last minute prior to our event (completely on our part). The Rolling Smoke team showed up early, delivered absolutely delicious food that our guests couldn't get enough of, and at the end of the night, Terry and his team ended up flat out donating all of the appetizers we had ordered and planned to pay for, for our guests, to our organization and more directly, the youth we serve. This past May, we had them out to one of our biggest annual fundraisers of the year, and they completely blew the large catering company we had contracted with for the past decade, out of the water!! I sincerely have to praise Terry and his awesome Rolling Smoke BBQ team for having hands down, some of the best BBQ around, and equally (if not more so) important, being an ABSOLUTE pleasure to work with! Terry, and the rest of the Rolling Smoke BBQ team, are truly some of the nicest guys you could hope to meet, and our staff and event attendees are still raving about the wonderful experiences we have had with them! read more

Nope. Sorry I spent any money there. Spicy BBQ sauce had zero spice, bbq beans were straight out of a can and had no bbq flavor whatsoever, coleslaw tasted like cabbage with watery mayo, all the meat needed salt. We ordered pulled pork, brisket, burnt ends, and hot links. I don't think there was any salt used at all, and there was no bbq flavor. We won't be returning. The male at the cashier was semi-rude; the lady working with him was great. read more

My wife and I tried the centennial store yesterday after a colleague highly recommended it. The zesty fries were delicious. The brisket was dry, dry, dry. The burnt ends, when not too fatty, were tasty, but mostly were too fatty. The pulled pork was good. Overall, we were disappointed. read more

The burnt ends is definitely the best in the menu. Love that it isn't dry. Love the Mac and cheese as well! Hat the right amount of cheesiness you would want. Reasonable prices for the quality and quantity of food you receive. I'll be back here soon! read more

The honey bourbon sausage was the best but the turkey and burnt ends were also amazing, none greasy at all which we love! The Mac and cheese was the best side but in all honesty we ate all the sides and loved them all- potato salad, beans and coleslaw read more

Our company had an Employee Appreciation Event and we had Rolling Smoke bring out their food truck for us. When the process began we had Terry give us a quote for 500 people, as time progressed and we got closer to the event our numbers doubled. When seeking out a caterer, some were hesitant to even take on 500, but Terry and his crew didn't even blink an eye. Rolling Smoke brought out their two trailers to better serve us. They started out with the one truck and as our line started to grow, they opened up the second truck and began to serve from there too. Let me assure you, that the line was not long because the Rolling Smoke staff, but because our people could not decide what to ask for when they got to the front of the line. That statement is somewhat funny because on the side of the truck Rolling Smoke puts out their menu and everyone could see it before getting to the front of the line. Terry and his crew did a phenomenal job; they went way beyond our expectations in service and the quality of their food. They brought out several delicious choices for us (Brisket, Burnt Ends, Pulled Pork, Chicken, Hot Links, and more) and their barbecue sauce is very tasty. When we started the process some of our committee members wanted to make sure that our Vegetarian employees were kept in mind. As part of our quote I had asked Terry to offer a Vegetarian selection. Again, way beyond our expectations he came up with a main dish (Smoked Portobello Mushrooms) and all of the sides were Vegetarian as well, (Mac & Cheese, Potato Salad, Coleslaw and Baked Beans) giving all of our participants many choices. So, if you are looking for a caterer, at a reasonable rate, that serves barbecue keep Rolling Smoke in mind. My understanding is that they do catering for all size events and they are in the process of building a restaurant in the Stanley Marketplace (25th & Dallas). I would venture to guess the restaurant will be open this fall, but in the mean time their truck can be found at Station 26 Brewery (7045 E. 38th Ave.) every Sunday and at 55 Madison (near Cherry Creek Shopping Center) every other Tuesday. Terry can be contacted on his website www.RollingSmokebbq.co or (303) 919-9945. THANKS ROLLING SMOKE CREW you helped to make our event a success. Valerie P.S. With approximately 1,000 + people that attended our event we have only heard terrific things about the food. read more

I had been a good customer and the food for the most part had been pretty good but sometimes not consistent. I bought ribs twice in one week and the first time the ribs were moist, tender, and delicious but the macaroni and cheese was very dry and a had a lot of burnt pieces. The last time I purchased food was again in the same week and the ribs were dry and I didn't bother getting any sides as I had been disappointed last time. The most important thing was that the last time I was there I was treated so poorly that it will be my last. I did call the owner and his attitude was just as bad as his employees. Unfortunately he was just as condescending as his newly hired employees. read more

Some of the best BBQ I have ever eaten. I had the ribs, brisket, honey bourbon sausage, Mac and cheese and chili. It was well worth the trip! read more

This is HANDS DOWN the best bbq in Denver. The guys running it are so sweet and accommodating too. I'd put this q up against any from elsewhere. Who says you can't get good bbq in Colorado? Perfect pulled pork.... so full of flavor you dont even really need the sauce, ribs are tender but not fatty, and the burnt ends are the best. The sides are amazing too... best mac n cheese ever!! read more

Great place I found 3 mins from my hotel. They were out of burnt ends but they must be good if they were gone by the time I got there. Had the 2 meat plate and the brisket was excellent. Great flavor and the smoke ring on the meat was great to look at right before I devoured it. Everything I had was great and the best part were the friendly guys talking BBQ with while I ordered. read more

Got the recommended brisket and ribs with sides of mac-n-cheese and cole slaw. Brisket was cold and very dry and ribs were ok; mac-n-cheese had a nice flavor, but I had several clumps of undercooked shells. Disappointed after reading all of the raves. read more

Best meal I had while visiting the wonderful state of Co! I tasted a little bit of everything and it was all amazing!

I had the brisket and it was amazing. So tender and flavorful! Mac and cheese was great as was the potato salad. We sat in Cheluna and had a beer and ate our BBQ. Overall great experience!!!! read more

The only reason they get 5 stars is because there's no option to give them 10! This is the best barbecue I've ever had, and I consider myself a connoisseur. Get the burnt ends. Every bite is like a meat donut of unicorn love. It will change your life. The Mac & cheese is unreal. It's gonna ruin you for all other macs. read more

One of the best Bar-B-Que plates I have had in a long long time! Sooooo good I got the 3 meat plate and every thing was awesome! The burnt ends where exceptionally awesome crispy fat cap and very tender meat. It was a awesome experience! read more

5 stars for this food truck. I just ate the burnt ends, ribs, and smoked Mac and cheese. Delicious. Denver is severely lacking in providing good barbecue, but this place does not disappoint. Their sauces were tasty as well. Best bbq from a food truck I've ever had. read more

Almost left still hungry! I ordered the Burnt ends which came with 2 sides, I ordered the smoked mac n cheese and collard greens. Mind you, this is a $14 dinner platter folks. The burnt ends consisted of 4 one inch chunks of meat, that was it. The sides were small, if I would've had to pay $4 per side (as listed in the menu) I would've been really mad. Pickles: at most BBQ joints you can load up all you want, and onions too, but here you have to ask for them and then they'll give you one small condiment cup consisting of about 4 pickles. I asked for 6 cups, since I like pickles with my Q. My son had 3 ribs and a side of fries, $11. In total I paid about $33 with tip and his coke, I had water. We were both still hungry so I went up to the counter to order more food. I told the guy at the counter I didn't expect to be hungry after paying $14 for a BBQ platter and he immediately offered to give me more burnt ends, which I was glad about because I was feeling jipped. He ended up giving me more than he had in the first place which my son and I shared and they were delicious, tender, melt in your mouth. Collard greens were great, mac n cheese was good too. Not sure if I can afford to come back though, and bring all 3 of my boys. read more
